    Watch me catch 🎣 MONSTER 🐠 fish. I paddle to a deserted island in my ocean kayak for a solo camping adventure where I catch and cook some delicious fish. I also capture a big Golden Trevally, a nice Coral Trout, whaler Shark and a Monster Giant Trevally aka GT. I have a fire on the beach and sleep in a tent on this desert island.

    As a former owner of more then few different breeds I can tell you it really does not matter what breed it is. Dogs are bonded to us and vice versa in a very special way and that sort of friendship is made possible by thousands of years of co-evolution.

      I’ve been thinking about a solar powered boat for awhile now the right setup you have a huge range

    • @phillipvanrooyen3052
      @phillipvanrooyen3052 3 роки тому

      @@Andysfishing Our Solar setup, except for the MPPT charge controller is probibly the cheapest possible. 2 x 12V/100A/h lead acid deep cycle batteries and 12V trolling motors. We do not rely on the batteries for range, it is eccentialy a solar powered boat. On our latest expedition we traveled 46km's to our destination, started cruising at 07H00 AM, until 15H00 PM. Cruising in sunshine it was possible to cruise until after 17H00 and then we would have clocked over 50km's for the day. We have a cheap but least effecient system. Yet, it is practical. Upgrade options are many. To gain 4 x more effeciency on my current setup is to simply switching to a 24V system, and that is what I will do in the near future.
      If money is not a problem one may use high voltage electrical outboard motors(72V) and litium iron batteries rated in KW/Hours. This will give enhanced performance and even night cruising possibilities.

    • @phillipvanrooyen3052
      @phillipvanrooyen3052 3 роки тому

      What I failed to mention, for our solar powered boat we use 4 x 260W solar panels, giving a potential of 1 kw of power. It is a converted 6m yacht with the keel shortened and 2 pontoons added to the sides for stability and safety. Average speed obtained was 6km/h.

    Wow !, Thanks for taking us along again Andy, that GT was amazing !.
    Every time I watch one of your videos I’m amazed.
    Imagine being an English convict in the 1800’s, transported to Australia as punishment, fearing the worst, but, when you get there, you quickly realise........ it’s paradise..... !, there’s food everywhere, it’s always sunny and warm and you have the whole place to yourself !!.
    Makes me wanna wish my distant relatives had been a bit less honest and hard working.

      Ha ha. I just read a book on how hard it was back in the day, we are only now rediscovering many food plants in Australia.
