    As soon as you said nothing compares, that song popped in my head. 😂 I subbed for the added clip. 👍🏼

    Wow that last statement was so me! I’ve bought stuff because I couldn’t find it in my garage! I’ve since become more organized 😊! I really enjoyed this video not only because of what you shared,but because you also demonstrated how the stuff can be removed to be used.

    For that broken zipper, I couldn’t get a good look at it on video but I always run key rings through my broken zippers, doesn’t look the greatest but works like a charm.

    great set up, clearly works for you and that is all that matters. Nice to see practical application of these items in a real person's truck & not an ad shot. love the nutserts idea. try a small plastic zip tie or a split ring for a zipper pull

    Looks very similar to my 2016 F150, I have swing cases, fire extinguisher (small one ), I have the roto pack type gas can and coolant can mounted to bed wall too. I'm also putting in mount for shovel and possibly some recovery boards.

    Fire extinguisher and ifak are great to have, but if someone is sitting in the back seat belted in they have to unbuckle and get out before you can access them. I’ve hardmounted extinguisher to front of storage bin. People sitting in back don’t even notice it and it’s easy access.

    Wheel and tire setup? Are the tires offset?

    Curiosity… have you actually used that compressor in the bed from the bed outlet? Startup watts for that should be 1500 plus(leaning on the plus).
    I thought those bed outlets cut out around 400?

    • @GearsGadgets
      @GearsGadgets  Місяць тому +1

      Yes I have but my truck is the hybrid Powerboost with the optional 7.2kwh generator built in. It has plenty of power so it’s not an issue.

    • @Tinker3504
      @Tinker3504 Місяць тому

      @@GearsGadgets sweet. I wish you would have covered that. Most bed outlet trucks have a 400 or so watt cut off(most factory inverters in general). Your startup wattage being 3x+ that hopefully doesn’t make people think they can do the same thing just because they have an AC outlet in the bed or cab

    • @GearsGadgets
      @GearsGadgets  Місяць тому +3

      @@Tinker3504 I did cover it by introducing my truck as the Powerboost and sharing that my truck has 120 / 20amp outlets in the bed. Worst case scenario, someone buys a compressor, tests it in a different truck, it doesn’t work, and they return the compressor. If they go as far as drilling holes in their bed without testing it, that’s on them for being dumb. Anyone modifying their truck is responsible for knowing enough about their truck in the first place to do it IMHO.

    in all seriousness… get rid of the recovery gear and get Yankum ropes gear to replace it

      What’s better with Yankum’s? Never used them before.

      @@GearsGadgets couple of things,
      i’ve seen hobo freight soft shackles break causing winch lines to fly into windshields causing injuries.
      your fellow youtubers strongly recommend Yankum based on thier extensive use in the field of towing and offroad recovery:
