- What happens to you when you #fall #through #the #ice? What should you do when you fall through the ice? How do you get out when you fall through ice? WILL I #DROWN?
Coming from central Minnesota, frozen lakes in the winter is one of the uncertainties of not knowing how thick the ice is and is it consistently that thick where you are wanting to go. Whether you are out ice fishing, #snowmobiling, skiing or even out for a walk on the ice; I would definitely recommend having gear with F.A.S.T.™ in it.

i've wanted to do it in the cold for a while. I've done tests in the fall before the lake was froze, so I wanted to see what it was like when it was cold. it's way nicer in the fall. haha

The FXR FAST gear is so buoyant! when I jump in the lake in the summer with out my life jacket,I am an anchor.
If I had to that to deal with staying afloat while trying to figure out how to get out, I think it would take a stressful situation to a new level!
The other thing I was surprised by was how the insolation held my body heat in once I got out. I anticipated the walk back being torture, but it actually wasn’t that bad.
i had the oppertunity to sit in on a snowmobile safety course, they had video about falling through ice, all of us snowmobilers should watch, also i think 2 weeks ago 2 snowmobilers broke thruough the ice both were rescued one had suit like that it helped save him

Isn't there floatation jackets made specifically for snowmobiling?
He’s wearing the FXR snowmobile gear
FXR has F.A.S.T. (Flotation Assist Safety Technology) in a lot of jackets and snow pants. They make some nice work Coats (like a carhartt) that has FAST in it that I use all for work.
The snow pants really help when in the water because it allows your legs to float to the top so you can be more level for “slithering” out onto the thing ice without breaking it.
@Levi_LaVallee thanks man. I thought I remembered reading about flotation riding gear. Unfortunately, I've been out of the game for a couple of years now.
