Thanks for the reviews. I have the Yeti jacket and the Blizzard jacket. Blizzard is more insulated than the Yeti and it has the adjustable cuff at the wrist with the media pocket. The Yeti is more stylish and I like the longer/slim fit it gives. If I'm not mistaken, there's a media pocket as well. I have a Legacy jacket that was left in the States, unfortunately won't be able to wear it until next season. My first in the Dope gear and I'm really digging it.

Hey Derek thanks for commenting. Glad you're enjoying the dope gear too! The yeti seems a lot like the Wylie jacket. I dig that burgundy red. I think you are right about the media pocket too!

Thanks for the info. I had never even heard of this company until two days ago. I do a lot of back country snowshoeing and its quite chilly here in South Dakota so I want to make sure I get gear that is warm enough and of good quality. I love the patterns and sort of wilder side of this company as oposed to Montek, the more conservative brand of Ridestore. Hoping to purchase the whole kit here soon. Thanks again.

i dont have any of their stuff but the price is very appealing to me, im relatively new to skiing and looking at other companies there are jackets that look just like a normal jacket for like $400+ and dope makes some cool lookin jackets for a price half that. i may have to make a purchase ;)

Thanks Brad they have some nice contrasting stuff, either the pastal colours or the jazzy ones with shapes on them. As a boarder I can see why you'd go with Burton. Its a little wierd as all the dope snow gear is also sold as ' snowboard gear'. Was the Burton jacket reasonably priced?

I personally love the iconic pants paired with the blizzard jacket. I have been using dope jackets for three years now and I love the quality of the products. You said the legacy jacket was a little bit baggy, I don’t know if you know but it’s the most popular jacket for slopestyle / free skier, people like Jesper tjäder use the legacy and they probably made it baggy because it’s popular for slopestyle/freeskiers. And almost every jacket in this category is baggy.

Hi thanks for commenting. I have not been able to test it in -30c. Where I live and work it can be between -5 and -15 usually. Sometimes it can get to -25c and that is always going to feel cold whatever jacket you use. Just bear in mind that these are skiing jackets so if you want a jacket for harsh temperatures, you might want to look elsewhere.

@@BramskiVlogs Can not be 15mm Matt that would piss in water see this for reference. 0 - 3000mm rating
Below 3000mm, clothing is considered water-resistant instead of waterproof. They offer some kind of protection against water, but are only useful for water protection for casual use. An example of this is our Unisex Base Jacket which is made from 100% showerproof Polyester.
      3000mm - 5000mm waterproof jackets
At the low end of the waterproofing range, these jackets can protect you against drizzles and light rain. They’re suitable for casual use and short trips through the rain. Typically, these will be lightweight and packable jackets or light hoodies. The FXD WF 1 Bonded Membrane Fleece Hoodie is a good example of this, rated at 5000mm and both windproof and breathable.
      5000mm - 10,000mm waterproof jackets
At this range, jackets start to become usable for work. These kinds of jackets tend to be a bit heavier but also quite breathable. You can use these jackets safely in moderate rain conditions without much risk of water getting in. Our Streetworx Stretch Waterproof Jacket ZJ310 is a lightweight seam-sealed jacket rated at 10,000mm.
      10,000mm - 15,000mm waterproof jackets
With the 10,000mm - 15,000mm range, waterproof jackets start to handle much higher volumes of rain. Medium to high rain generally won’t be an issue and you can keep dry in wet conditions.
      15,000mm - 25,000 mm waterproof jackets
Going above 15,000mm is usually more than a casual user needs. These kinds of jackets are typically suited for working conditions with a high probability of rain. The Atlas SympaTex Rain Jacket has a very high waterproof rating of 20,000mm and is made from 100% recyclable materials.
      25,000mm+ waterproof jackets
Most workers and industries don’t need anything above 25,000mm+ except for in cases of extreme rain. To get to 25,000mm wateproofing or higher, the fabric either needs to be very thick or made from a special hi-tech material. At 25,000mm and above, your jacket should keep you dry when working in storms or in the marine or fishing industry. The Bison Exteme D/N Jacket has a 25,000mm waterproof rating and includes a removable sherpa lining and specially designed rain gutter.
