  • The Sierra was still packed with snow, so me and a friend head east to Nevada's Ruby Mountains - an isolated mountain range in central Nevada. We cherry picked the best part of the Ruby Crest Trail and hiked from Lamoille Canyon to Liberty Pass and on down to Liberty Lake for a one-night stay.

What a beautiful area! There's something about smaller isolated mountain ranges that really interests me. Thanks for sharing this!

I may be moving to Elko from California this fall. Looking for some future places to hike because I've been so spoiled here in the Sierra Nevada mountains. I want to make sure there are some mountains around there. The Ruby's look equal in the beauty of the Sierra. Thanks for posting man!

@@SacWildlife no kiddin wondering that myself where
is this cat? His question was funny.
Not to worry Nevada has the most mountain ranges of any lower 48 states a lifetime of exploring.

the Rubies are a gem! I live in Salt Lake and I drove all the way out to see them. They are a mini version of the Sierras but not as vast. I would say check out all the mountain ranges out there, there's quite a lot! Great Basin NP is beautiful as well. I would argue the Rubies are the most beautiful range in Nevada.

I’ve lived in elko my whole life and the rubies truly are unique. After 26 years of life, I’m still not bored of exploring the rubies and I’m so grateful for it

Always great to see your videos, hopefully the snow melts and you can get back to your paradise with longer videos! Great work. Hike on!

It was short because I can't bring myself to talk to a camera with other humans around :-) I should be getting out soon for more trips, but I"m looking to do a lot of late season trips this year - bugs are INSANE this year.

SacWildlife I can relate! Talking to a camera with others around is odd, well I look forward to your treks! I hope to make it out to your wilderness in the future. Florida does not have such scenery, as one can imagine..ha ha.
