Hey thank you for this video. I'm doing lives on UA-cam and Facebook and every thing is going very well with Streamyard. But the only issue is that after the live, I can't see the comments posted on the live chat of UA-cam anymore. Do you know why ? I hope you can help me fixing it!
Hi Rob, what are some tips on interacting with livestream comments from listeners? It can be quite disruptive in the flow, but you also want to engage those comments and recognize the posters.
Hi.. I did a Live streamyard interview session today.. but was unable to see the comments in the streamyard comments section... initially I thought that no one has added a comment but when I checked the live video on facebook, I could see many comments.... do I have to turn something on to see the comments in Streamyard... Initially I thought they should appear automatically... looks like I am missing something.
Hmmm... that's odd. You should just see them there in the comments tab inside streamyard. Which social channels are you streaming to? Are you multistreaming? Are you linking to Restream.io to multistream by any chance?
@@robertbalasabas Thanks for your response.. I am streaming to UA-cam and Facebook (Personal Profile, not a page) and not linking to any Restream..(I don't even know what that is)... I can see that StreamYard settings are set to private if the stream is sent to a personal facebook profile... (that's what StreamYard Comment button tells, it suggests that I should go to Facebook Settings --> Apps and Websites --> and then I should see StreamYard settings where I can change it to Public.. but when I go to Facebook --> Settings --> Apps and Websites, I don't see any Streamyard app option... Kind of going round in circles at the moment.. surely I am missing something.
@@ExposureLondonOfficial i had the same issue with streaming to youtube. My comments didn't show in the tab. I hope someone has an answer to this problem
That’s really odd, you should just see it populate inside Streamyard automatically. Do you have another stream planned or scheduled in the next little bit? Would love to check it out.
During my live streams on facebook when people make a comment or ask a question some users it shows there name and profile picture but some show just facebook user how can i solve this.
Hi Loki, absolutely yes, it’s super easy. You can click on any comment from your viewers to then show up on screen live. It’s a great way to keep your audience engaged by involving them in the livestream that way. It also pulls their profile picture and name.
@@robertbalasabas Thanks Rob! Do you have to manually do this, or can you just have all the FB comments being displayed throughout the entire stream? As a performer, it is difficult to manage at the same time. Thank you!
Question: How do I see the names & pictures of people commenting on streamyard? Do they have to a sub or is that a streamyard upgrade? Thx👍🏼 Great channel👌🏼
That should happen automatically, unless you're in a Facebook Group, then you have to ask your group members to authorize their profiles to show up. Good questions, thanks Carol :)
Sorry, I don't provide that service. But there's some options out there that handle this... one option is Nick Nimmin's site that has ready-made overlays for Streamyard.
Just saw your post on facebook, and looking forward to checking out streamyard, I have a lot of followers on many platforms, so this would be great if it works as I hope
Amazing! Hey Johnny, let me know how it works out for you. Make sure to subscribe to the channel, I talk a lot about Streamyard :) Which channels/platforms do you plan to livestream on?
@@robertbalasabas I have over a half million followers on twitter, and many on facebook pages, which is one question, can i send to more than one page, I have 5-8 of them, youtube where i only have about 7000, instagram, and wondering about wechat if it can be added. I need to use stream deck to coordinate as I am a one man shop also . Yes, I subscribed and hope you did my channel as well
Great video! Question, if I want to disable comments so no one can comment, do I have to go into each platform and disable manually? Thanks in advance.
Hi, just wondering if you can help. We use streamyard for our live videos and have done for a while with no problems. Recently, half way through, comments from UA-cam just stop. Twitter & facebook ones continue. Any idea why? Streamyard were not helpful lol x
Thank you! The steam yard UA-cam tutorials are super not helpful - can’t even find one on how to make subscriber notifications show up on your stream 😤
Every time someone comments on the stream, their name just says "Facebook User". Is this because I'm using the free version? I'm streaming inside a Facebook group btw. Does this change when I stream on FB pages or is it one of the limitations of the free version?
Hey Kyle, I'm pretty sure that's because you may be streaming into a private group, or the facebook user hasn't authorized Streamyard to display their name. Do you schedule your livestreams ahead of time?
Rob Balasabas ohh I see. I may try to stream on public to see how this goes. I just go live whenever I want to. It’s not really a career at this point. It’s more like a way to kill boredom.
Hi Rob, Thanks for this video. I recently signed up for Streamyard and I was showing social media comments into my live transmission. However, comments with different languages/fonts had not been presented correctly in the audience side. Meaning, the comments show fine within streamyard feed window, but not on UA-cam and Facebook. Any thought?
+Ashu Ethio Studio hi Ashu, good question. It could be a number of issues. This question might be best asked in the Streamyard Fb Group so their support team can look into it for you. I’ll try to pay attention for comments like these when I stream again to see if I can show different characters on the screen. What languages are you trying to show?
@@robertbalasabas Thank you. I will bring this up this weekend. The Language is "Amharic" and it is showing on StreamYard Screen fine. The issue is it is not showing correctly on people device when they are watching the live stream on Facebook and UA-cam. They see bunch of small square symbols. I did a bit of research after I post this question and it might have something to do with if one has the font installed on their device or not. It can also very well be that StreamYard is handling the comments as text and the just don't handle other fonts.
Thank you for the video! I have a question as I'm a newbie to StreamYard. If i'm on a broadcast, can I invite others to join WHILE the broadcast is happening? Or, do they have to be invited and ready to go before the thing gets started?
+Andrew Poletto hey Andrew! Really good question. Guests can join you anytime before OR DURING your livestream is happening. That’s a really good question. Andrew are you in my fb group? You should join us, we talk about this all the time in there. Any other questions I can help with?

Do you know if you can use this to stream in multiple private Facebook groups at once and see all the comments at the same time?
