I think for her morals, she got pretty far and ultimately, even if that part of the modeling industry doesn't want her, then there's always more opportunities that DOESN'T require relinquishing your morals. And it's safe to say that this show most likely helped give her bookings and recognition, which is far better than never having gone on the show at all.
If you’re modest, or feel scanty clothing are against your morals, maybe modeling isn’t for you. Don’t take up a spot and a chance that someone else would kill to get.

For perspective: If Ann was 99 lbs at 6'2", her BMI would be the same as a 5'7" woman (my height) weighing 79 pounds!!! Even at 105# I was told it was unacceptable, dangerous and couldn't be natural. That said, I reserve judgment. There are naturally thin people. However, a BMI under 13 is EXTREMELY underweight, emaciated. *sigh* I am concerned Ann like most "naturally", extremely thin women likely drastically underestimates what she eats whilst "eating what she wants".
Much like people don’t become overweight while eating a healthy amount of calories (barring extreme medical issues), they do not become this underweight without consistently undereating.
I stopped watching when The Jays and Nigel left. I feel like Angelic should’ve kept her crown! She worked hard for that shit. Jael was one of my favs. She’ll be truly missed.

I remember so well of that Headache episode of Tyra yelling at Tiffany🤦🏾♀️ The reasoning for the screaming may have been due towards the potential that we all seen for Tiffany. To become a High Fashion Model and Tiffany grandmother whom was struggling financially. Helped Tiffany out financially to be on that ANTM Show.
Ms. Banks was signing autographs at a mall near my home when I was younger and I was in a rush. I walked in and rushed passed her she looks at me and I stared at her with no expression. She never took her eyes off me until I was out of sight. I thought it was strange as if this person couldn’t believe I wasn’t impressed by her. I didn’t realize who she was till I got to my car lol.
I teared up watching this videos because I loved this show growing up and you never really know what people are really dealing with in their personal lives
I find the entire show full of bullies and body shaming, gaslighting, racism, lack of empathy, and mind games. What did we see in this show when it first aired? Not good. Terrible.
I absolutely LOVE Jael. She was my favourite on her season and I really wanted to see her win in everything she did. She was an absolutely beautiful soul and it’s such a shame that she was plagued with such hardships that she had to face but came out on top. I’ll always admire the fact she beat her addiction. Cancer is a horrible thing, my own father passed away just short of two months after his diagnosis as well so those pictures of Jael really do hurt as my dad basically looked the same way (I’m even writing this with tears in my eyes right now). Really wish she was still here, happy, healthy and succeeding, I feel like it’s what she deserved and I wish I could just give her a big squeeze and let her know how much she is still loved. When it comes to someone like her, I really do wish there is an afterlife and that she’s finally found peace ❤️

That all didn’t come along till very recently. The modeling industry is beginning to open up to all body shapes/sizes now, but back then, yes, you had to be size 0-2 to model. Not only that, that’s her role, the character she plays. She’s not supposed to be some sweet old lady who sugar coats things. She’s supposed to be blunt, and a little outlandish. That’s just the role/character she’s playing. Whether you love her or hate her, she plays the part well.

For perspective: If Ann was 99 lbs at 6'2", her BMI would be the same as a 5'7" woman (my height) weighing 79 pounds!!!
Even at 105# I was told it was unacceptable, dangerous and couldn't be natural.
That said, I reserve judgment. There are naturally thin people. However, a BMI under 13 is EXTREMELY underweight, emaciated. *sigh* I am concerned Ann like most "naturally", extremely thin women likely drastically underestimates what she eats whilst "eating what she wants".
Much like people don’t become overweight while eating a healthy amount of calories (barring extreme medical issues), they do not become this underweight without consistently undereating.

He’s only a forensic psychologist and his license expired many years ago. Don’t make the mistake of assuming everyone in psychology is empathetic or would make a good therapist- his skills lie in determining whether someone is telling the truth in a criminal context.
@@Creepystalker102 Agreed & it is my belief that no matter what position someone holds whether it's in nursing, government, teaching or even child protection they are all just as capable of being less empathetic than one would expect from someone who holds those positions. But, when they exploit other people's trauma, well being & mental & physical health for their own gain while portraying themselves as being empathetic & genuine, I find that disgusting, especially when they seem to create more trauma in the process. But to do it publicly is beyond repulsive. I personally could never respect someone like Dr. Phil.

Angelea Preston's story is sad: she shouldn't be reprimanded by ANTM because of her past, especially considering how most people assume that's within the lifestyle of a model anyways..

I absolutely LOVE Jael. She was my favourite on her season and I really wanted to see her win in everything she did. She was an absolutely beautiful soul and it’s such a shame that she was plagued with such hardships that she had to face but came out on top. I’ll always admire the fact she beat her addiction. Cancer is a horrible thing, my own father passed away just short of two months after his diagnosis as well so those pictures of Jael really do hurt as my dad basically looked the same way (I’m even writing this with tears in my eyes right now). Really wish she was still here, happy, healthy and succeeding, I feel like it’s what she deserved and I wish I could just give her a big squeeze and let her know how much she is still loved. When it comes to someone like her, I really do wish there is an afterlife and that she’s finally found peace ❤️

I think the numbnail of Jael as she was dying of cancer is the worst. If you were dying of cancer, is this the photo you would want the world of youtube to remember you by? Especially when you had some amazing modeling photos? Whomever made this choice has never had to create a loved one’s funeral program. I have done too many. Samantha Buchholz Keep in mind Janice is old school. Back in her day of modeling, people weren’t “body positive” like today. The whole “body positive” and “body shaming” weren’t even a thing. That all didn’t come along till very recently. The modeling industry is beginning to open up to all body shapes/sizes now, but back then, yes, you had to be size 0-2 to model.
Not only that, that’s her role, the character she plays. She’s not supposed to be some sweet old lady who sugar coats things. She’s supposed to be blunt, and a little outlandish. That’s just the role/character she’s playing. Whether you love her or hate her, she plays the part well.
That's just Janice. She knows the industry inside and out..and in her day she was a real top model and she was gorgeous.
