That's why there was a backlash about the unhealthy comments and practices the show encouraged and how they had the platform to push for change but didn't use it.

@Phoenix Girl Tyra was mostly a swimsuit, lingerie and makeup model. She had a few years of fashion modeling as a teenager but after that she was too curvy to be sample sized but not big enough to be plus sized. Doesn't matter because Sports Illustrated and Victoria Secret pay the big bucks though.

Lisa has struggled with addiction as well, she appeared on Celebrity Rehab (according to wikipedia, for alcohol, marijuana, amphetamines, cocaine and mushrooms) but she's still alive.

I just watched cycle 19, and OH MY GOD Kristin was awful to the girls, especially Leila. She literally bullied Leila so bad and it pissed me off how Laura would just let her do it. Tbh they were intimidated by Leila, but Leila has made it as a model so 🤷🏽♀️ not to mention how awful she was to Victoria, who clearly had anxiety issues (although every girl the in the goddamn house was awful to her).

I watched her season when it came out. I was 12 years old and thought she was just silly and goofy. Rewatched the season now in my late 20s and oh my god i didn't realize she was drunk the whole time lol
Why the f would they even let Dani be on the show given her bigoted audition tape? You’d think they’d automatically dispose that trash audition and put someone better in her place.
I said the thing. They did it for ratings. Probably hoping there would be some big fight between here and the girls. They weren't going to pick her to actually move in to the ANTM house.
They probably did it to give her false hope and then kick her out just when she thought she had a chance to be in the house.
Unfortunately you can't hold people's beliefs against them. I do believe its illegal. Nut she def didn't deserve anything and needed to be slapped. Also it's a way of warming other people and kinda self destruction for her on life TV doing that so it will be more justice done to her now.

Actually, Alexandria didn't push Brittani to tears. Brittani and Molly acted out in front of Nigel Barker on set, telling Alexandria that she didn't deserve to win the challenge that day. During panel, Tyra confronted Alexandria about the situation, Brittany and Molly started rolling their eyes and Tyra asked them what was up. Brittani admitted that she didn't feel that they chose the right person to win the challenge and both Tyra and Nigel put her in her place, which is why Brittani walked off stage.
That situation wasn't Alexandria's fault. Alexandria was minding her own business, wasn't bragging, wasn't saying anything about it and was even sitting on the opposite side of the room after the photo shoot.
Thank you!! Now she's not innocent, because she was a bit harsh, but that incident wasn't her fault.

Brittani and Molly weren’t acting out, though. Have you seen the episode? They were talking quietly to each other and Alexandria yelled across the room “I can hear you” which is when the conflict started.

She got in so many fights on both her seasons (9 & 17), she relentlessly bullied Heather on season 9 for being different (heather had aspergers) to the point where Tyra said if she'd been aware of it Bianca would not have lasted so long, she was basically the villain of cycle 9 :/

I watched that episode years ago. Yes stunning Robin could be annoying with the Bible,however the industry was trying to get her to go against her belief on getting semi naked. They,were mean to her and it was best for them to let her go. Shannon,Robin and Ms.lizzie were all Virgins on the show and they became great friends. Because of their beliefs.

Robin never claimed to be a “militant Christian,” and she primarily expressed her faith through prayer,band Bible study. Showing a “militant atheist” a single Bible verse hardly amounts to forcing their beliefs on them, and is certainly less forceful than making your atheism into an identity.
I had a big love hate for Jade and definitely loved her towards the end because she became more vulnerable and open in a good way.
If you're an ANTM fan, LightingUrMind has a great channel devoted to just it. She has several different formats she follows, like "How TF didn't so and so Win?!", or "Hard to Deal With...". They're just clips from the show, with a little written commentary thrown in, but it's nice to be able to watch an entire season worth of shows, in about 45minutes. Now I haven't watched Top Model in years, so her videos are a good way to look back.

Based on things she said, and videos she posted, it seemed as though she has a lot of mental health issues, and often times would go long stretches without uploading, so it could have something to do with that. Or maybe she received too many copyright strikes, and UA-cam deleted her channel. Either way, sorry to see it go.

Haven't found another channel devoted to ANTM that was that in depth. To each his own, I guess. ☺
Alexandria didn't push Brittani to tears. Brittani flipped out at Alexandria during an ad campaign in front of Nigel Barker and the panel of judges called Brittani out on it. They said that they didn't care how Alexanria acted in real life, that business was business and she shouldn't have acted that way in front of clients. This caused Brittani to have a panic attack and walk off stage, so in reality, it was Brittani's own doing.
Maybe the fact that Alexandria won A FREAKING CAR that made Brittani's jealousy exploded. At first Brittani just kind of pissed that Alexandria won the challenge but later she became extremely mad when she found out Alexandria won a car, not to mention it was the newest, latest model from Ford. Brittani just can't hold it any longer and started to through a tantrum toward Alexandria
She was jealous. If Alexandria hadn't won the car, nothing would've happened.

I disdained Bianca. She was very obnoxious. When going through comments related to ANTM or RPDR, I fear that these shows teach young girls (and boys) it is okay to be unpleasant. They teach you that that kind of behaviour means confidence. It does not.
Mads : Bianca loved throwing it in everyone's face during All Stars "I'm a working model" as if no one else was. And don't get me started on her hissy fit when she was asked to pose in a bathtub. " Would Tyra do that? Would Beyonce do that?" As if she were at their level.

The one thing I got a kick out of with Bianca is that her cycle, when she didn’t do the flying/pose challenge and Heather one, Heather would’ve picked her but instead goes with Chantal who stood up for her the night before from Bianca and Jenna. Then she tries to sabotage Jenna in the Four Beauties challenge and Jenna wound up winning and picking Chantal again. Karma is a bitch and Chantal got to reap those benefits 😂.

She was portrayed as a mean girl but in reality, she was just blunt. Some people can't handle honesty, they like things sugar coated and Alexandria didn't sugar coat things.

Not true, plenty models actually gained weight during the weeks they were there. They make their own meals. But a lot of wannabe models have been put on a pedestal all their lives and find it hard that there are others that can compete with them when it comes to beauty or likability. There are usually a few big egos that stir things up and devide and you´ll get problems in any group of people that don´t know eachother and have different life styles and opinions that have to live together and can´t get out for weeks.

Definitely agree with pretty much most of everyone on the list, especially #1! Don't know why Alexandria's up there though. I mean, sure she had her moments here and there, but I do think she really was misunderstood for the most part. I can think of at least 3 that were much worse than she was that didn't even make the list...such as Bianca, Melrose, and Natasha.
