Grabber blue was actually released originally in 1969 on the boss and Mach 1 models but I do fully agree that it's a great color and Ford should have used it back then
The most hated Mustang when it first came out was the fox body Mustang people just didn't know how to take it but eventually it caught on and stayed in production longer than any other Mustang body style

REALLY!!!!! The 1994 and 1995 mustangs with the 5.0 engines were the best, The engine will outlast any newer ones I assure you if well taken care of. They also will produce alot of power with alot of fun to drive....

I have an sn95 and i'll admit it took awhile for it to grow on me, but you are right, with the right mods you can make it look more muscle-car-like if you will, you could even point out the traditional mustang body features from the muscle car days. I'm still modding mine and its coming out great, remember that its about to be 2018 in a few days at the time i'm typing this and these look RARE on the streets now. The new edge, not so much.
I just pick one up almost a year ago... a nice staggered rim setup and it looks real good. Still see tons of the new edges, I've got a cobra and you see even less of those :D
Mine took a while getting used to. But in my defense, it had red interior and a white top!!!
My first and only Mustang currently is a '95 Mustang GTS. Only mod is a MSD distributor cap and cat delete. Love it so much.

I love my 96 cobra! It’s been such a good car to me,I have had the stock T-45 trans rebuilt after blowing it up racing a big turbo mazdaspeed 3,and has had very good reputation around my neighborhood keeping up door to door with 392 chargers,beating ford Lightning’s,335i’s,2003 Mach 1’s etc and all I have done to the car is Intake,gears,and muffler delete,just had my rear end rebuilt with new 3:73 gears,and moser 31 spline axles. It’s a beast on the street and very very very fucking loud! Nothing compared to my brothers 95 gts in performance tho,it’s got a trick flow top end kit with all the supporting fuel lines and pumps,with a vortech v2 si-trim putting out 430whp on the stock 302ci,built by Brian at B&DRacing
My daily driver is a 98 Mustang GT in Atlantic Blue Metallic that I bought for $4200 with 107K miles on it. It came with some sick, wide Strada chrome wheels on it. It was a California car that must've sat in the sun because some of the paint under the clear is faded in spots but, after a cut, polish and wax it looks pretty good. I lowered it 1.5" and added 1.5" wheel spacers in the back and man, it sits the way a Mustang should. I basically replaced every front suspension part you can(except a tubular k-member, which is next on my list) and replaced all four corners with red, powder-coated calipers, ceramic pads and cross-drilled and slotted disks. With it being lowered, it handles better than a new car.
The intake manifold had a coolant leak so, I replaced it but, it turned out it only needed a new gasket. Oh well, now I have a new manifold on and a back-up, if I ever need it. The only engine problem I've had is the drive pulley delaminated. Other than that, the engine is strong and doesn't burn oil. I live in an apartment and did all the work myself(except the drive pulley) in a parking space. The SN95 is the easiest car I've ever worked on so, if you're mechanically inclined, get a hydraulic garage jack and some jack stands and get to know the SN95! I get compliments on my ride all of the time so, I don't think people hate the body style!
I had a 94 and a 95 GT. The 94 was bright yellow and the 95 was teal. When done right they look SICK. Stock they leave a little to be desired.

As a 90s kid, I love sn95s. I remember I had a remote control car that had this body style with the horizontal tail lights and it made me love mustangs. I used to see these all over the place as a little boy, so I have some sentimental value. I currently own a 4.0 s197 and my next mustang is most prolly gonna be a pushrod sn95 302 and build it up.
I never understood the hate for the SN95s and New Edge GTs. They always looked good to me, the main problem with them was just lack of power from the factory. They're plenty reliable and fun daily drivers. The Mustang II by far is the worst. At least their suspension is good for street rodding...
The new edge was never hated ..you dummy .. it was a great success that got the catfish Camaro out of production.. the most loved mustang is the new edge
no one hates that body style, they hate the power plant it came with after the 5.0L
4.6L SOHC garbage engine, ford should had used the DOHC as the basic V8 and developed something else for the svt.
Thats the way it was at first, but now the aftermarket has finally picked up and the 4.6 2v actually has a lot of merits. The damn things are near bulletproof, and they take boost like a heroin addict. The 2v is good for 450 hp to the wheels on boost, but some good forged rods will get you as far as you want. If you think about it, the 4.6 2v is the reason we have coyotes now, otherwise the mustang may have just died out. As far as using the 4v as the base, well it would have been badass, but oh well.
TenchFries it should have been DOHC 4.6l for base v8s and 5.4l DOHC for svts
Andres Solis agree it's hard to get power out of the 5.0 in that year . That's why 5.8 or 7.5 is better

JOHN RAU actually it’s not that hard to get power out of the old 302ci 5.0...trick flow has a top end kit with 11r 190cc heads that boosts the stock 302ci 215bhp to 430bhp and still on a stock 302 bottom end
I prefer the new edge look over any other mustang ever. The sn95 is my 1st GT mustang and I still love it to this day, It really doesn't look that bad
These cars are getting harder to find and will increase in value

That's why I snatched up a buddy's 94 cobra for $1,300, it definitely needs TLC but it has about 10k in performance parts on her. Only reason I got it that cheap though is because he was selling it to someone and they quit paying and that's all the dumbass owed him so I gave it to him and did a repo on him

To find an sn95 in very good shape on the street nowadays is rare. People beat the hell out them and a lot are not taken care of well. I have a 94 Sn95 and not even 100k miles
I got a 94 cobra a little over a year ago and recently got to start working on it and the previous owner let it sit for over a year and rot away. I'm not a ford person by far, I hate them mostly but deep down I'm a car enthusiast so I couldn't let it sit there and keep rotting until it finally got scrapped or something. It has probably 10k in performance parts on it and I'm still trying to figure out what he fucked up and get her running like new again and I'm not far from having her purring like a fresh pussy lol
They are cheap af so people that have no business owning them end up with them and destroy them
i bought a 95 gts, 37k miles, no rust, no dings on exterior, runs great, 7k. car is practically perfect.

My dad has had a 74 Mach 1 since 75. As a kid I called it a bucket of bolts but it grew on me and now I appreciate it. I imagine most people that don’t really like the sn95 will appreciate it latter on in life.
People can hate on the 94-95 Mustang all they want. They still have to accept the fact that it's the year that saved our beloved Mustangs from the chopping block.
If these don't exist, then you would've ended up in the same "dark ages" that camero and firebird fans had to endure.
I love the 94 style, it's one of the top styles of mustangs in my opinion

Brandon green 99-04 had the 4.6 with pi heads and pushed 260hp and 305tq when I was in high school my friend had one a always dumped the clutch on it I used to think it was faaaaast asf especially with all that torque
Been waiting a long time for a video like this about the SN95.
dmc52 even though everything he says is incorrect. Never did Ford want to cancel Mustang. Grabber Blue came out in 1960's and Ford never bought out Mazda. Ford only bought 25% of Mazda hoping to save on shipping Ford's overseas by putting a Ford name plate on Mazda cars and also saved tax purposes too. Also 94-98 Mustang By had 215 horsepower and Cobra had 305 horsepower not 250. This guy is an idiot.

The SN95 and New Edge are the same platform. To me the New Edge is a better looking car.
Carolina Man motor wise and power potential is the same? Same 4.6L? I'm new to fords. I have a 230whp cam'd prelude that's probably good for 13.5 but I'm starting from zero here with the Fords.
Carolina Man my plan is for it to be a 1/4 mile car. So far my list is p1 heads,cams,long tubes,straight pipe and tuned with some radials. Can't forget the 4.10 gears.
The newedges were a definite upgrade on style way more sleeker. But I still like the older sn95's and smile when I see one that doesn't look like it's been to hell and back lol. Just got an 04 mach1 4valve and it's one of my favoret bodystyle mustangs besides the 69's.
just to correct the record Ford was not going to kill the Mustang and replace it with the Probe. Actually the Probe was going to be the next generation Mustang. Enthusiast lobbied long and hard to keep the mustang from going FWD (this was pre internet folks) and the Probe was ultimately born as its own entity. The Fox chassis was carried on and updated with something like 40% greater stiffing, suspension retune and of course the body & int redesign. At the time the tail lights were one of the few points of contention on an otherwise widely cheered redesign that got Mustang back to its styling roots. I prefer them as they help to counteract the 4x4 look from the rear.

Yup, cause 94-95 SN95s had the horizontal 3 line brake lights instead of the vertical 3 line brake lights like all mustangs before it (and after). I love this quirk about these cars and that's one of the many reasons why I bought my Rio Red '94 Cobra ...love this car...and I also own a 67 GT, love the 5.0 Cobra just as much as the classic.
Ford introduced grabber blue back in 69 I wasn’t a fan of 94-98 body style but I recently picked up my 95 5.0 and really like it
I had the 94 V6 Auto. 145hp in my dreams felt more like 120hp. That car was zombie slow.

I’ve owned 4 fox bodies and a SN95. The SN95 is a better platform than the fox (4 wheel disc, 5 lug, better interior etc) but the fox was so popular in the late 80’s and early 90’s, it took a while for the SN95 to catch on. Good thing about SN95 now is they are fairly cheap compared to fox and new edge. I think they look sick lowered with 18s.
I have a 98 GT! California special! Pushing 517 hp at the wheels baby! Tuned and dynoed by the mighty Shelby motor sports! Severe bolt ons and so much overhaul went into it. Thanks for the info.

C4MP ive had a lot more luck with 5.0 ive had 2 gt's and one lx and to me it was way easier to work on ive had 2 new edge and its been a nightmare i love the new edge body but my next one will be a 5.0
I had an sn95 5.0 before I purchased my old 2v 4.6 and the 5.0 is much better, 2v had full bolt ons and tune and still wouldn't beat my sn95 with gt40 head and intake, and my 5.0 has 200k miles and my 2v had a rebuilt engine that got knock after 4 months of owning it, my sn95 never gave me and issue

Grabber blue is from back in the day also. Just so you know it's not a new color. Introduced in 1969...
Of all my favorite Mustang body styles, my #1 choice will be the SN95. With the New Edge, I’m not a fan with the square back. I fell in love with the Mustangs when My dad let me drive a grey Fox Body,when my sister got in an accident and that was rented. As soon I started the engine, I instantly fell in love. From that day I was so determined to get one. When I saw the SN95’s on showroom at our local Ford dealership, I was so close to postponing my wedding just to buy one (I’m so glad I didn’t). In 1996 I rented a red one, when I drove my wife to Key West for our 2nd Anniversary to Key West that year. I finally bought my black 1995 GT in 2007, a had few major problems with it (non engine related), it’s still running good even today.
I own a 95 5.0 plenty of aftermarket performance I love my car and the body style
The style is awesome. It’s the lack of power from the factory that people don’t respect. But, that just makes it a great opportunity to change minds real quick if you add some power to it, and there are many ways to do this.
I loved my 94 blk/yellow convert. Got lots and lottos comp. before I sold it.
They weren't going to get rid of the Mustang name, the probe was going to be the next Mustang.
I love the sn95 especially the Cobra's but the 5.0 94 and 95 would be my choice the non pi 4.6 was anemic. Everybody talks crap about these and the cheap interiors etc but when this car came out it was incredible looking! Just a huge change from the fox and set the tone for things to come. The other bonus now is that these are incredibly affordable. Cool vid!!

Elijah Sanchez true that, they posted 225 which only put them back to pre 93 5.0 hp. The sn95 was heavier than the old foxes which still wasn't much of an improvement. The 99 was a huge difference which you know. They detuned the 93 5.0 to 205 hp to make the 94 at 215 look better on paper even though it was slower. Don't get me wrong still great looking cars!

@@johnrau2873 actually wheel covers ruin steering wheels by rubbing them raw much faster than without. Plus theres a thing called a junk yard that has them for cheap as shit or do like I would and re wrap it yourself and you get whatever material you want on it
sn95s are great. i like their 90s styling then and now and they're just a refinement of the fox. prices of these have been steadily rising.
the sn95/new edge was the last mustang to have any originality. they've all been great cars since 2005 but they've been stuck in "make it look like a 68" since.
sn95 are something special IMO, still insanely light, with all the goodies of the foxbodys, not to mention the 4v 4.6's.
I have a 97 GT with the full PI swap on the nonPI block. Plan on rebuilding and boosting, or swapping a 5.4 DOHC
I have 2 foxbody, 1 convertible lx 5.0 auto 55,xxx and a lx hatchback 5.0 5speed and now I bought a 94 cobra clone sn95. I’m just going to keep collecting these 5.0s. Out here in the Bay Area they the value went so high on them.hopefully I’ll get a ssp next

man I have a 96 gt 4.6 bbk long tubes bbk o/r x pipe bbk throttle body 4:10 years on swap and I walk on 5.0 all day my buddy has a 89 foxbody with full bolt ons ( yes including gt 40 heads) and he is running 3.73 and I pull on him ever time even from a dead stop I do t see why there is so much hate on the 4.6 I've had nothing but good things to say about it. it has 276 hp ( and if you know these cars that's pretty good) I guess ever can't have good luck with them
This review was done in an automatic which I’m assuming had stock rear gears. Not saying that’s not how should be tested but it’s a whole lot better with a t5 and a 3.73 rear gear.

I own a 94 Cobra and in stock form it can hang with most cars on the street up until coyotes or other things like that pull with it. As for the body style my girlfriend likes to say my mustang got stung by a bee 😂 but I love it to death. My first car. Not only taught myself to drive stick but taught myself to drive at all in it

My first car that I nearly died in! Not the cars fault.. My friend was driving (big mistake). And he decided to pull out in front of a fully load Semi truck going 80mph! It t-boned us, almost splitting this car in half! Fractured both of my legs, all the way up and down! It was fun while I had it 😅

Im a huge Mustang fan i dont hate them ,but lets admit they are slower than previous 87-92 models .I do like the fact that they came standard with disc brakes all around 5 lug and 17" wheels also handles slightly better also .
I have owned 6 fox mustangs and 1 sn95.the body style and interior are much nicer on the sn95

You mentioned 94/95 tail lights sell for $400 if not more. I think you may be mistaken with the Export versions of these tail lights.

with the interior part the gts model was the best model of interior that ford could ever have chosen for the crystal white paint
Man red interior is my favorite. Problem is they always fade.
People hate on the sn95 pretty bad but at the end of the day the oh so glorified new edge mustang was built off that platform. And the sn 95 was built ofg the foxbody which is the golden child of mustangs.

Grabber blue came out in the 70s. Some Mavericks came in grabber blue.
Why does it sound like that? You alter the exhaust? My 94 GT sounds much smoother.
Ford probe GT nice little kick out of a V6 yup damn I do remember thoes days quiet well lol but yeah im so glad they kept makin the stang yup and later brought back the 5.0 later on in the 2011s yup good stuff but yes im looking at a 94 right now so yeah body styles cool with me 😁

Hate for the SN95 is this guy's opinion, I don't see evidence it's widely reviled (except the 2v 4.6 engine, which garners a lot of hate).
Recently the 4.6 has been getting a LOT of attention because of how much it loves low to moderate amounts of boost. I have a feeling the sn95 may become the next budget drift car soon.
Only years I like.
