    I love paused front squats for the quads, RDLs (DB or barbell) for the hamstrings. Awesome videos, keep it up!!

    Joe, good luck with your hypertrophy training. I like high bar squats, front squats and belt squats. All hit the quads when performed correctly. Thank you, Robert Burwell. Cumberland, Robert Burwell

    Wish my gym had a hack squat machine, one of my favourite movements for quads. Although, I saw some of my best leg growth when I trained the Olympic lifts and their variations. Lots of clean & snatch pulls from the floor, along with heavy back & front squats, deadlifts and push presses really got good growth in my legs.

    So you only do 3 exercises per session? Hacks, Squats and Ham Curls? What exercises do you do on Day 2?

    For legs I think natural powerlifters pretty much have it figured out. I build my legs 100% through squats and deads, never needed to do a leg extension in my life

    My favorite hamstring exercise is definitely rdl, i get the most growth out of those , plus it’s a good accessory if you want a stronger deadlift

    • @patbateman4202
      @patbateman4202 4 роки тому

      @@its_james_fitness yeah, once you get to a certain weight on rdl's your grip is bound to fail, even with straps unless you have really good grip strength. that's why i feel good morning is superior.

    I live on a ship (Atleast for now) - what replacement exercises would you do for the hack squat and leg curls ? I’m already deadlifting , swings , back and front sq and I’ve recently added in some oly lifts. I would love to try the hack squat !

      Check out Barbell hack squats with elevated heels. They're not exactly the same but they absolutely smoke my quads

  • @darkmaterial95

    Do you have a good replacement for Hack Squats? Not all commercial gyms have them so an alternative would be good

      Leg press works, smith machine high bar squats, maybe even front squats too if you are capable of doing them

    Yeah... you look like hypertrophy is foreign to you 😋
    Edit: hamstring = hamstring curl with Suspension trainer
    Quads = high rep walking lunges

    Do the exercises need to be in order that you have? I normally prioritize my compound movements first

    • @morgancheadleofficial
      @morgancheadleofficial 4 роки тому +1

      Kirk Johnson the idea of this sequence is to allow the quads to be overloaded first, so when you move on to squats the quad stimulus is not limited by lower back fatigue rather than actual quads.
