Your videos over the years have given me confidence to tackle almost any job on my 110 including the current chassis swap but I still go weak at the knees with every gearbox or transfer box video!

That transfer boxes is definitely getting so much needed and deserved TLC

Other than buy a new bush and for those of us without a friendly JP machine shop nearby could you rub it down on wet & dry on a flat surface like you do with series gearbox 3rd mainshaft gear bronze bush until free to turn?

      Good one Peter!
I did flat this off with 800 oiled wet and dry on a bit of granite prior to going to JP's, but I was getting nowhere.
Thought there may have been a high spot
Quickest job I have had done at JP's!

It’s called a roof conversion tent . It is not a roof top tent , the roof was removed to put the new roof conversion tent in place .

I always complain about the stupid sizes of boxes they use for sending parts over, sometimes three times the size of the part. Its easy for them but for us we pay so much extra volume for nothing.

      Indeed!
I changed my strategy for parts supply when I stopped buying direct from Britpart
Lots of companies do drop-ship, and you can pay Canadian taxes and duties at the checkout
So I suggest the customer buys parts from LR Direct (for example) and ship parts here for me to fit
So I lose out of a bit of markup, BUT the customer knows exactly what the price of goods are AND shipping

@@BritannicaRestorations that is another way of doing it. But most of the times customers has no idea about parts, part numbers and the difference when you need genuine and when a pattern part will do. Cheers Mike.

I try to give them the best information on parts, and get the best quality they can afford - costs exactly the same price to ship

hi what is the best ratio for a v8 when doing long distance cruising on relatively flat roads?
