This was one of my favorite videos! The fall colors are beautiful! Ellie actually smiled when you called her a wild woman!😂😂 Olivia giving Riley kisses was so adorable! Fall camping is the best! Your dinner looked delicious!
I'm so glad! We had an amazing day there!
In Canada puffball mushrooms are a delicacy! You slice them up like steak and fry them up in a pan with butter and steak spice and they are unreal!
baby's so cute with that tiny helmet😊 i remember when my daughter was a few months old.
Thank you 😊
I'm new to seeing your videos. They are so relaxing. I live in Michigan. Lakes EVERYWHERE!
First time seeing Olivia. Your wild rice soup looked amazing 😋❤
God has blessed you three w a beautiful nature loving family💚💙
He absolutely has 🙏🏽 Thanks so much for coming along!
I have never seen a mushroom that large, so cool! Do chanterelles or chicken of the woods grow in Minn, like they do in Calif and Oregon? Love those. So nice to see your little family enjoying the cabin without snow! lol Autumn is gorgeous.
Great 👍 video Great to see 👀 the whole family fantastic awesome beautiful
Glad you enjoyed it!
BTW, I live off grid 1,000' place, heat wood... 9,000' Colorado mountains just doing what others thought I couldn't.
Hello Jack, Rylie and Olivia, what a nice video, Olivia is so precious with her little helmet. I have to say, they are the biggest mushrooms I have ever seen, they look like overgrown Puffballs. Your toasted cheese and the rice soup look really tasty. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much John!!
What a dear family you're blessed with! I appreciate that you all are living such a wonderful, appreciative lifestyle in God's creation. Too many people are cut off from "vitamin G" by not experiencing green spaces. I grew up on wild rice recipies and still have it whenever I can.
Those mushrooms are definitely edible and great tasting. Skin them and cut them into squares. Cook them like you would any other mushroom.
So cool. Definitely need to do that next year 👍🏽👍🏽
This looks fun 👍
A blast 👍🏽👍🏽

Human: You are a wild woman!
Dog: 😁
😂😂
Fantastic! I think it is beautiful that you thank our wonderful and merciful Lord God before having lunch. It’s a good teaching for your little one. May our Heavenly Father bless you and your family forever, and thank you for your very appreciated interesting videos. 🙏🏻❤️
Those are giant puffball mushrooms Jack! As long as they’re pure white inside, and not yellow or mushy, they’re definitely edible. You can slice them thick and grill them, or use them like pizza crust to make pizza. If you find any large, hairy, white balls growing out of a tree, that could be lion’s mane, another great mushroom! And if you have any large, old, oak trees in those woods, you might be able to find maitake(or hen of the woods). Those are excellent. I’m sure there are lots of great fungi in those woods! You might just become a mushroom hunter Jack!😊.
That’s what I hear! So cool! I really need to do that next year!!
@@TinyCabinLife believe it or not, there’s lots of edible mushrooms that grow in the winter…wood ear, witches butter, Enoki, oyster mushrooms. Of course, each one takes your own personal research and caution must be taken. Anyway, God bless you guys Jack!🙏
Great video. Those are the biggest mushrooms I have ever seen, so cool. I enjoy seeing you and the family hanging out and having fun. 😊
Wow so those ginormous mushrooms are edible? As a keen cook I would just love to get hold of one, looks utterly delicious and would feed an army, lol! I'm just terrified of poisoning - the recent case in Australia in which 4 died is so scary. Some funghi are so poisonous there's no antidote to the toxin, even if you get to hospital promptly.
There's a wonderful vegan cook on UA-cam called Derek Sarnos, who makes the most incredible meals with lions mane mushrooms. He grows them himself. Check him out - he's owner of the biggest global brand of vegan ready meals and sauces called 'Wicked'. In his YT videos he creates fabulous vegan feasts in his home kitchen - always with his adorable black labrador Frankie by his side!
@@glamdolly30 yes, definitely have to be careful with wild mushrooms! Giant puffballs are pretty easy to identify…edible as long as they are solid white inside and firm. Growing your own from a grow kit is a very convenient and safe way to go. Just have to do your own research and be 100% positive with identification if you’re going to wild forage any mushrooms. Stay safe!
Enjoy so much when you take us to your cabin. Beautiful there.
Love your family and of course Ellie!!
Thank you so much!
God bless your family💖
😊🙏🏽
These videos are my favorite
😊👍🏽
Sounds relaxing I love it
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video! I really look forward to the rest of the season. Keep an eye on her head with that helmet though! My friends son broke her nose when she holding him once with his.

Love the percolator coffee 👍🏽
New to your channel....
Where is "down here right now" ? Absolutely gorgeous there....... As it is here in the North Georgia mountains Fall time.
My nephews son of now 14 mo's also where's the "helmet"
You and yours are wonderfully blessed.
The helmet helped Olivia so much 👍🏽 So this is in central Minnesota near the twin cities. We’re fortunate to have been able to build this on my parents land which is near our home. So we get to come here a lot
Where do you go to use a bathroom? Seems now that you have a family, you could add another A frame to enlarge this cabin. What a wonderful life you have.
Thank you so much 🙏🏽 We have a little composting toilet that we use down there. I’ve also been thinking of enlarging the A Frame a bit. We shall see!
lovely , lovely family and lol sweetipie Ellie all covered in burrs omggggg that's everything!!!!🤣🤣
😊🙌🏽
Love you guys all together !!!!
😊🙏🏽
Love that a frame beautiful my grandparents had an a frame house in Pennsylvania are you off the grid
So cool! This cabin is off grid, however we don’t live in it full time
Aww hope Olivia gets sorted soon ❤
Me ha encantado el vídeo... me gusta mucho cocinar al fuego, lástima de que con estas vidas modernas tengo poco tiempo para hacerlo. Superlike for you... love your baby ;)
So glad you enjoyed!
❤❤💙
I want to buy small piece of land In the woods in Maine so I can build something like this
😊👍🏽👍🏽
Recipe?
I’ll try to find where I got it. I found it online 👍🏽
Beautiful wife beautiful baby…
😊🙏🏽
😂😂Ellie cracks me up! “You are a wild woman!”
I know of a couple babies that wore helmets when they were babies. It really helped. ❤
Loved it!!❤
Haha Ellie is the best! And we’re already seeing progress with her head 😊👍🏽
Omg I had my wine ready to relax and watch your video, my son kept asking me, did he upload yet? Not yet, but when you did omg ,to see all of you guys together at the cabin, what a treat, thank you again 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Wow that’s so cool!! Thank you both for watching!!
This was a really delightful video...seeing the woods in their glory, Olivia and Riley enjoying themselves, the lovely hike and the campfire at the end of the day. Ellie was so good as usual. Thanks for bringing us along. Take care and have a fun week...
Our pleasure!
Such a beautiful baby... She's just so bright eyed and takes everything in as she goes.... so precious 🧡🌻💛
Thank you Jack for another great video. It was great to be back at the A frame cabin, it's so beautiful there. Ellie is just so adorable ❤. Little Olivia is so cute. Thank you Jack , can't wait for the next adventure. ❤

Thank you so much!
So awesome your all back together!!!! Would love to spend a night in that awesome cabin!! Great vid my friend!!!!!!!
Thank you so much! We had the best day 😊
Such a fun video with the family. You have a very sweet one. Thanks for taking us along.
You are so kind 😊
Great video! I love seeing you all in the A-frame. Olivia is doing well, and the helmet will help. I love to make wild rice soup. I follow your basic recipe We use a lot of wild rice, I also add potatoes, and cheese. Thanks again Jack and family!
Sounds like great additions! We might have to try potatoes next time!
I love seeing families spending time enjoying one another. It's easy to get caught up in the daily grind and neglect recharching. My kids are grown and grandchildren nearly so. I homeschooled my children and we incorporated nature into our learning. Those were my happiest and most fulfilling times. Keep treasuring your time with your family. ❤
Absolutely 🙏🏽❤️
My favorite, the a frame cabin. Loved seeing Olivia and how vocal shes getting. Thank you for posting these videos. Being in bad health and not being able to get out and do anything, i live vicariously through you. Thank you, bless you and cant wait for the next one.
Such a glorious day you had with the clear blue sky and the autumn foliage! It was a treat seeing all four of you, yes, four including Ellie since she's family too! Little Olivia was adorable in the little bear outfit too.
Thank you! It was such a beautiful time together 😊
Hi Jack, Riley, Olivia and Ellie, it's good to see you back at the A frame, Olivia is so adorable she wants to be in the conversation,I can see Ellie was having a ball, it's beautiful the fall foliage and the clear blue sky, awesome video thanks stay blessed
Felt good to be back!
Look at you, surrounded by the glory of nature, and your three gorgeous girls. Soup looked yummy! There's so much love in this video. You're a very lucky man - you're all lucky to have each other. But something tells me I don't need to tell you that!
Thanks for sharing your family day. That A-frame home is fabulous, I never saw one before, it looks so cosy. Warmest wishes from the UK.
Thank you so very much! We are certainly blessed 😊
You bring such joy with your videos. I am housebound through I'll health. I live the adventures with you. Makes me feel part of the world. Thank you so much. X
So sorry to hear about your health but I’m glad that these videos help you experience nature. Thanks so much for sharing that 🙏🏽
Oh yeah puffballs as long as they’re solid white in the middle, you’re good! those look past prime ,but you should do some research get a mushroom book that woods there probably has all kinds of edible mushrooms and it’s so fun to learn because you really stop and get a different understanding of what is underneath your feet in the woods it’s crazy fun lol
Absolutely! We really have so many here! 👍🏽
You must be so much warmer than we are here in Georgia, down to below freezing tonight, there was snow in the Smoky mountains already, God bless your beautiful family.
I'm in the north Georgia mountains and we are looking at 27 degrees. We are just gonna turn up the electric blanket a little bit more. 😂
Just got our first snow a couple nights ago!
@@TinyCabinLife We are due for a big snowfall. I miss it. We had a white Christmas in 2020. It was beautiful.
What a beautiful family. God bless you.
Thank you so much!
Your videos are so relaxing we camp six months out of the year and I could not feel more Blessed , you have such a beautiful family looking forward to seeing you next week ❤️
So awesome! I don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t do this regularly 👍🏽👍🏽
Ellie just cute, awesome to see ur family, food looks yum, thanks for inviting us, u and family have a blessed day❤
Thank you! You too! 🙏🏽
It is absolutely beautiful there! Good to see the whole family & Ellie again. Olivia is such a cutie❤
Thank you so much!
Another delightful episode, always good when the whole clan are together. Baby Olivia looks too cute with her little football helmet & Ellie being her usual messy self, enjoying the wilderness. Life can't get any better. Happy Hallowe'en all 🐕 ⛺ 🎃
Happy Halloween to you too! And thank you so much!
When you are eating dairy products do you ever think about the suffering and death a dairy cow experiences ?
Dairy cows are forcibly bred/raped every year so they will produce milk.
The male dairy babies/calves are killed shortly after birth because they don't produce milk.
The female babies are taken from their mothers and kept in isolation until they can be forcibly bred to produce milk.
The babies are literally stolen from their mother, they are not allowed to have their mother's milk.
Dairy cows are very maternal, they cry and grieve for weeks after their babies have been stolen from them.
Dairy cows are literally milking machines.
When they are approx 5 or 6 years old they are completely worn out, used up and they are sent to slaughter.
Cows would normally live into their twenties.
When one really thinks about it, you can't help but question why are humans drinking another species milk.
The cow is not your mother.her milk is not your milk,it is designed to grow a baby cow.
Research the dairy industry, see the cruelty and suffering you are paying for.
Consider buying non dairy cheese, butter milk.etc,no one should have to suffer and die because of your food choices.
Be kind, live a nonviolent life, be vegan for the Animals, they are sentient beings just like us.
Those are puffballs. Those look a little m past their prime. If you cut it and it’s white in side, they’re perfect to eat. People slice them and use them as crust for pizza
That’s so awesome! Next year for sure!
Puffballs eatable when young when they get big and go to spore don’t eat
Good to know!
😃 11:36 Going to the sun road! We went there earlier on in our adventure! What a great drive in Glacier National Park 👍
So cool! I miss it!
Love that tiny A-frame and camping in the fall is the best. Seem like Ellie gets all the burs that my brothers dog gets at the tree house
I'm surprised u didn't harvest the mushrooms, they'd been good with the meal cooked over the open fire and kept some for the freezer for later use
those big white mushrooms are good to eat cut them 1/4 inch thick and fry them up with butterwhen they are white thru
Oh she looks so cute with the helmet on ❤ Have a great time.👍
Agreed! 😊
god bless your family bro new sub from manila
Welcome!! And thank you so much 😊🙏🏽
You are blessed to have a beautiful family. My children are adults now( except for my HS junior) and they grew up spending their summers and winters at our lake house. Our primary ( an apartment)is in the city but it was wonderful to escape to a beautiful home in the country. Hubby and the boys would go fishing, make kites, build fires, hike, and we'd all swim in the lake. Sadly, we had to let it go because taxes went sky high and so we kept our apartment in the city. I enjoy watching your videos because it takes me back when my family was young. My sons love the outdoors and I'm glad we exposed them to a beautiful type of living.
We are blessed indeed 🙏🏽 Just trying to soak it all in
Mushrooms looks like giant puff balls. Great fried up in butter. So good.
👍🏽👍🏽
Agree puffballs! I cut them up and bread them a fry them in a little oil. Delicious!
Next year for sure!
Love that you pause to say Grace & give thanks .. beautiful video .
What a Beautiful family you have! Olivia is Just Adorable! What a Great Adventure in Life She has to Look Forward To!
Grill cheese and tomato soup is great
Giant puffball mushrooms are edible. Some say they have no real taste of their own and just absorb the flavors around them like tofu. Others have described their taste as rich, earthy, and nutty. If you're lucky enough to live in an area where they're sold, you can pick one up at the store, fry them in butter,
Definitely need to do that next year! 👍🏽
Great to see everyone! I noticed the helmet, My Granddaughter had to wear one. Hers was white purple skulls on it.
Good morning Jack, Riley, Olivia & double ear rubs Ellie ! The time of the year is so beautiful with all the vibrant colors ! The meal looked so delicious ! Glad you all had such a wonderful time ! Keep up the great work & keep smiling !
Good morning! Thanks so much! We had a great day down there 🙏🏽
Our son wore the helmet for a flat head too. You can find places that will wrap them in a design. His was Avengers. 🥰
Ha that’s awesome!
Happy Halloween to Olivia! 🎃 Love when your at the A frame! And with the whole family 👨👩👧🐕 My husband and I just got back from Martinsville Virginia. Race weekend 🏁 83° beautiful foliage there🍁🍁🍁 Got home to 40° weather🥶 May have snow flakes ❄❄ tomorrow 😫 That soup looked so good. I could go for some right now 🥣 Well stay warm. Happy trails 🤗🏕💕
She was a little bunny for Halloween! 😁👍🏽 We have snow now too!
Thank you, Jack, for inviting us into your A Fram Cabin. And introducing us to your lovely wife and Olivia.
Our pleasure!
Love every video you make Jack 👍
Thank you so much 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Tip for you. Get yourself a splitting log and you will save your axe and your knees.
Cut a log about 14-18” in across and about 20-22” long. Strip off the bark and stand it on end. Then you can use it as a hard surface to split your fire wood. You back, knees and axe will thank you for it.
Good call. We have one for splitting the firewood. Not sure why I don’t use it for the kinding as well 👍🏽
Bro..I was just finishing off a bowl of that. The Shorelunch brand has it at Menards.
The woods are so beautiful and I love to hear the birds singing. Beautiful family!
Such good times as a family in such beautiful surroundings. God Bless.
Puffballs, they are edible. We always sliced and fried them. Younger ones are better.
Great channel you guys..
Thanks so much!
wow... those are some huge puff ball mushrooms... the one you were messing with I think is past its "prime" and I wouldnt eat that one... but the smaller white ones... you can slice into mushroom steaks... fry it in butter and garlic salt..... mmmuhhh
Love your show , there is something special about it.
That means so much!
Não entendo o que vc fala, não sei ler inglês 🤔🇧🇷
Dovresti allungare la cabina visto che ora siete in 3 xche è un Po strettina...cosi
That rice soup is a French Canadian soup!! Comes from a time when there was no extra money!!
Olivia will be camping with her family and have fun and watch out for the animals
Lovely Ellie who is the actual attraction as to why I like watching this camping etc.
It’s great to see the family enjoying a beautiful fall day. 🍁
It was the best 😊
Another wonderful video!
Thank you!
Living in the mountains of Southern California, that's one thing I really miss about my native Canada: The changing color of the maple leaves.
You see the occasional maple tree here, but very few. Lots and lots of pines.
Regarding Olivia, did you know that there were Native American tribes generally referred to as "Flatheads" who engaged in a practice of cranial deformation to purposely flatten their foreheads?
They considered it attractive and would begin it shortly after birth. They would sleep on their back with a board pressed against their forehead, with a hinge behind the back of their head.
Lewis and Clarke wrote about it in the early 1800s.
Interesting to think about what different people on different continents over different centuries thought was attractive.
Blessings to you, Riley, Olivia and Ellie.
That’s so fascinating! I could certainly understand that! Different cultures have different takes on beauty. It really is in the eye of the beholder 🙏🏽
So great to see you all back at the A frame, in such beautiful Autumn weather. I hope Rylie is feeling as fabulous as she is looking, her inner and outer beauty is shining through! Sweet Olivia is sooo scrumptious, honestly as cute as a button, so bright and thriving with all the wonderful adventures you are having with her. I loved watching her "having a work-out" as you and Rylie ate your soup-which looked delicious! She is rocking her helmet with panache! I so enjoyed your lovely videography, capturing the delightful environment and of course the cosy cabin vibes. Dear Ellie almost stole the show with her antics, she certainly is living the best life with you all. Thank you Jack for taking us with you on another wonderful cabin trip and sharing your world with us 🙂
Wow thank you so much! I will certainly tell Rylie all of the nice things you had to say about her 😊 Ellie too!
I am fast...LOL
Have you ever been to Wyalusing State Park in WI along the Mississippi River? We just got back from camping there. Peak color was beautiful.
Those look like giant puffball mushrooms. They are native to MN.
I love your little A Frame Cabin. 😊
Know any good spots in Canada?
I haven’t! I’m thinking of exploring some areas in wisconsin soon so I might have to check it out!
MERRY CHRISTMAS! Central Kentucky, I found a 27 pound Puff Ball but was not sure about it. So I took it to the University Of Kentucky, Horticulture Dept. I called two days later to ask about it and they said they didn't know about it because they ATE IT! Thank you. God Bless and stay safe.
Wow! Crazy!! Thanks and same to you!
New subscriber and loving your video's. I do have to comment about Olivier your beautiful daughter. Most babies now have a flat back of the head as we've been told lay babies on their backs. Years ago we were told never let a baby sleep on their back, they may vomit and choke. So they were placed on their stomachs and sides. My beautiful had a flat back of her head, we were told not to worry as all will work out fine as she gets older. She has just turned 19 and no flat back of the head since the age of about 2. Just to put your mind at ease. Now want to look back over your previous video's.
Glad to hear her head rounded out! Olivia’s is already starting to look better 😊 Thanks so much for watching!!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful family with all of us. My son who is now 26 with his own daughter, We used to watch Rock the park all the time! We would go camping in the upper peninsula of Michigan and people would always ask where are the rest of our family was?? 😂 Because it was just my son his dog and I. Tent camping is the best then we saw your travel cabin. Amazing !!!!
Now we watch you here and love it.
So awesome!! Thank you for watching for so long. That seriously means the world 😊
Awww you have a beautiful family. Living out your dreams is such a wonderful experience.
Agreed 😊🙏🏽
Love watching you guys. Ellie's the cutest doggie and the funniest. God bless.🇬🇧
Thank you so much! Same to you 🙏🏽
I did it ! I pick this up this week, I had a local pallet company make me an oak base, poplar sides, and top 4'8"w x 6'h x 8'L shipping crate.. lol, yes, indeed...
I'm going to call it "the crate escape " which I swear I thought of before I Googled it and found out it's either a liquor store in New Zealand or England.. lol..
I'm going to have 400w solar, 3 100ah Redodo batteries,my spark mini potbelly stove, all electric cooking, and R/O water treatment system.
You could say that what I'm making is more of a bugout setup or emergency needs parked next to the house or off to the woods.
Video to come soon
Heck yeah!!! Right on! And I love the name
