Good video brother! There are so many things that impact tone.. I notice that many guitarists don't focus enough on guitar maintenance!!! It's not enough to have a "good" guitar, I would rather have a perfectly setup, intonated, fresh stringed squire vs neglected custom shop whatever haha. Many of the musicians I jam w really don't put any focus or effort into this aspect and I would strongly encourage it vs buying the next pedal or whatever. Time and effort put into maintaining your instrument is critical. Love your channel dude, keep rocking!!!
@@WorshipGuitarLab for sure.. I highly recommend having guitar fret leveling/crowning done by a professional every other year or so. Some guitars need more love than others though lol, PRS is best I've experienced from the factory. Gibson frets always feel off to me until crowned.. makes a huge difference. Strings may be the ultimate tone investment though haha. I usually change after every other service but I'm a sweaty animal and pretty hard on strings! Putting your guitar funds into this stuff is more beneficial vs that next overdrive that sounds slightly different than the last haha..
Great video! I have a $200 Ibanez RX40 from 1997 that still looks brand new. I’d like to change out the pickups (HSS). Do you have any recommendations for which pickups to install? Thanks.
ah man, wish I knew exactly what to recommend. For strats and tele's I've always loved Loller pickups. A past strat I had Texas Specials which were amazing but not sure I'd be an expert on what to recommend to you for that one! Congrats on the Ibanez though!!
I see plenty of people use Deluxe Reverbs and twin Reverbs for worship and was wondering, Are their Tonemaster counterparts any good for the genre. I know it may be a silly question but Id rather ask a wacky question than make a wacky mistake.
@@thisiscellaich noice thanks. I feel like it would be the most logical choice in a sense that it can be used in just about any setting (big stage, bedroom, practice,
Love the new lighting set up and background!

So true Daniel! It's crazy how much new strings & good fret action make a difference

Great video man, and great points. Learning how to not draw attention to yourself is such a valuable thing for musicians and singers alike.

I have a tonemaster and it works great with me. I can run direct and the tone is pretty good!

@@brez1093 Yep! That's why I got it. I do a lot of stuff outside of P&W, so it fits both bills for me.
@@thisiscellaich which Tonemaster do you use
@@brez1093 I use the Deluxe Reverb! Even that sucker can get crazy loud. Can't imagine the twin or the super haha
You left out strings and picks make a huge difference in tone
Great point! new strings work wonders
