I’m not sure how much time you’ve spent here, but Vegas is absolutely a commuter city. After living here 44 years I could maybe count on one hand the number of people I’ve met that regularly do anything without a car. There’s a couple golf cart communities, but it’s not much. So point being, Southern Highlands is one of the most convenient spots in the city based on the points in the video.
I understand what you’re saying, Vegas is tough to live in without a car. We really don’t have reliable public transportation either. That being said, southern highlands is literally within 15 minutes of everything you’d need and more (with a car). Even a high rise on the strip would be less convenient.. walking distance to casinos and dining but not groceries, dog parks, running, big stores etc..
@@SoHiVegas I've seen a big drug store on the strip in a video. I think it may have been Duane Reade or Walgreens. I was hoping there were at least a few supermarkets there too, in case I ever move there. I guess my Las Vegas thoughts are not really feasible then. I kind of changed my mind a while ago, but now I was starting to wonder again.
Love it! Thank you for the insight on the neighborhood. It sounds like Southern Highlands is the place to be!
No, see my comment after yours, the only other one here now.
I haven't watched yet, but if it's the kind of neighborhood where you really need a car then no, it's not convenient.
Ok I'm about half thru and this is just for people who have cars. Or want to constantly deal with car services.
