Thanks for the info. I normally do astrophotography/milky way photography but this is my sons senior year and cash is definitely tight so I'm going to do his senior portraits. This video is definitely giving me some good ideas.
Great practical advice and I like how natural your sample photos feel. I liked the sitting poses in profile with space above the young man; I think that would be great in the spring and fall. I’d love to see some suggestions for getting natural smiles from younger kids. I mostly get clenched teeth and wide eyes.
Thank you, ladies, I'm an amateur photographer with professional equipment. I shoot a lot of sports but have volunteered to shoot a friend's son's Senior pictures. This is all awesome info.

This is really great! One of my challenges is that i am so short and when take pics of my subjects they are taller than me. I always feel like I need to stand on my tippy toes. Is there a suggestion on how I can be taller than the subject?
I am a Senior(AGE) Photographer, No real experience with individual Male or Female subjects, so I am thinking of shooting Portraits with Friends & Family. Need to build a reputation of appealing Portraits, which would include a variety of well captured POSES of my Portrait photography Subjects. I just watched and enjoyed your U-Tube video of Posing suggestions. Whatever Poses I capture, I want to have relaxed & Natural subjects. May I possibly use your Posing video for my subjects to get an Idea of how they might look, and feel relaxed & Free?
Not always but we do notice sometimes that some poses don’t work well for certain people and we just avoid those poses throughout the session. Really good question!

@Holden Winston I would suggest Flixzone. Just google for it :)
Biggest Takeaway is to simplify and get a variety of poses just by changing up 1 thing! Y'all are brilliant!!!
keeping the shoulders squared was a very helpful tip!
I’ve taken many senior pictures but I’m having a little trouble making senior guys look relaxed. This is awesome information! Thank you so much!
I’m so much more confident for an upcoming senior shoot! Thanks ladies!!!
I love your tip about keeping the shoulders facing forward and the one stance ideas! All guys are different...some more relaxed, others not so much.
I have my first guy senior session next week. This was really helpful thank you!

Great video!
Do you pose your subjects based on their body types? For example, you might pose a tall basketball player differently than a short stout kid. Thanks!

I don’t see the link you are referring to for the cheat sheet.
