The it's "racist or it's anti-racist," mentality is so juvenile and lacking in nuance and complexity it's infuriating. It is a tool for shaming those who don't just jump on board and accept their view on these issues. It removes the need for debate, the need for research and scholarly work and it removes any responsibility from those who deem themselves as "victims," to try and change or improve themselves.
Actually it’s the opposite…that mentality is too complex. Life is simple. Judge people on their action not race. No research necessary. The extra complexity being added by schools, media, etc is what is keeping the race conversation relevant
@@Frilleon I agree to an extent that is true of our interpersonal relationships. However, when viewing things through the lens of history that is when I believe more nuance and complexity enter the picture. For example, "America is built on stolen land by stolen people." There is so much about that statement that glosses over a vast number of historical factors that are important for understanding slavery, the treatment of the native Americans and many other issues. First and foremost being that A. It isn't just white Europeans who have engaged in slavery or even profited from it. In fact, it was competing African tribes that killed and sold their own people into slavery in the first place. B. There were many competing native American tribes during the initial founding of this country. Many sided with the Europeans and assimilated into their culture to protect themselves from enemy tribes who they had been fighting with for a long time already to that point. I've already written too much but history is not black and white, good or bad. Yet that is how these left thinking people are trying to paint their picture of the past and founding of the United States. To say it's problematic is the least you could say.

As a Black man, I cannot wait for books like "White Fragility" and "How to be Anti-Racist" to be seen by history in the same way as "The Communist Manifesto" and "Mein Kampf".
You may have a long wait. If history is any guide, the ideology will persist despite its failures. Look at Critical Race Theory and modern wokeness. It's straight up Marxism. It's just switched out class for race as the primary organizing factor in society around which everything revolves. You would think Marxism should be as dead as Julius Caesar, after it was seen again and again for a century to fail, and to generate only poverty, oppression, mass death, and waves of refugees. But it's alive and well, and making inroads in our society and its institutions. The founders of BLM can openly proclaim that they are Marxists -- they don't even attempt to hide under an alternate label, and wear the name proudly -- and the movement is feted and pandered to by our media, by academia, and by the democrat party.

It is a tool for shaming those who don't just jump on board and accept their view on these issues.
It removes the need for debate, the need for research and scholarly work and it removes any responsibility from those who deem themselves as "victims," to try and change or improve themselves.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Thank you! If you're a victim of everything, then where is the responsibility for you to improve yourself? Zero effort should never = a reward!

Racism is non binary. Most preferred pronouns for racists are they, them.

John Stossel speaking out. Thank you!
I love how people who are paid to stand on a stage and complain about how hard they've got it... Can do just that, without reprecussions by the very authority figures they're rallying against. Kind of seems like "Oppression" is a luxury.
The division and resentment Kendi and DiAngelo preach are obviously useful to the ruling class... after all, the ruling class are the only people propping up these frauds!
@@DeflatingAtheism
Well... When you're right, you're right.
@@DeflatingAtheism The ruling class is almost totally democrat. The Bloomberg organization did a study, trying to prove the old democratic dogma about "The republicans are only for the super rich. The democrats are for the poor man". I heard this bullshit from my in-laws for years, and they actually believed it. When given evidence that this wasn't the case, they would just repeat it again - as if that would somehow make it true. Anyway, about the study... The figures were cross referenced from the US Census Bureau and the IRS. The results of their study didn't support their old dogma, so they tried to bury the study and act like it never happened. The results showed that 65% of people who made more than $500,000 per year were registered democrats. It also showed that 83% of people who earned less than $100,000 were registered as republicans. So much for their chant that the democrats are for the poor man. You're right. The ruling class of democrats are propping up these race baiters.
Right, you mean the oppressors let him on stage to speak?
It is a billion dollar industry.
I have pretty much given up doing any more than writing UA-cam comments stating that I have given up trying. It has been forty years since the Civil Rights Revolution and yet we have a current period with more rioting, protesting and racial strife than we have had in decades.
Yeah, it would appear that whatever we are trying to do as far as race in society, we might want to consider trying something else.
The government is bigger. The government hands out $$$ unequally.. its a zero sum game You beat the other or you lose. Its that simple. And who is losing.. whites. Simple.
Mind you, that is rioting, protesting, and racial strife all based on lies. A bunch of misinformation and misrepresentation of statistical data where people don't ask the underlying "Why?" questions. Quite frankly, after Obama's presidency, race relations got worse because people listened to him and believed misconceptions about things like Ferguson. How we went from steadily improving race relations and polls in the 1990s where young black men and women said racism was little or no problem in their daily life, to now people protesting police killings of unarmed black people when that number is in the teens annually... It's all incredible how much these extremists have pushed the narrative in a manner of five years.
Obama himself said that the civil rights movement got the country 90% of the way there in terms of racial equality and that he wanted to close that 10%. The extremists want people to believe it's exactly the other way around.
Tackling victimology in all it forms will go a long way.

We are witnessing the birth of a brand new religion, based solely upon one's skin color! How crazy is that?!
Wouldn't be the first time ever. It's really unamerican though.
I suspect most Americans will reject it in the end. Scientology is a joke and this is way crazier.
I'd argue it's not a new religion. Racism has been there since the creation of America. The black extremism just got more visible and louder.
@Kyle Reese Subhuman Incel Yes, I've heard of them. I was only attempting to refer to the most current ridiculous phenomenon. As I stated, this phenomenon is quite new and the ones you mentioned have been around for a long time.

My pastor wanted everybody in our church to read Robin DiAngelo's book, "White Fragility." I reply-emailed to the entire church immediately asking why Communist literature was in my church bulletin. The church leadership took a few weeks to look into everything and got back to me that they completely agreed with my objection and that they have told the pastor to stop using the pulpit to promote his own personal political views.
In my city in a park near my home some young people spray-painted four Communist messages on different parts of the pavement and railings. One was painted over immediately, and two were recently removed about 8 months after they had been put down. There is still one message. As John McWhorter says people do catch up with these lies and as long as we have time to counterargue, we can completely prevail because liars have nothing going for them except stealth surprise shock and awe... Keep the faith share conservative resources keep talking keep sharing keep putting it out there and the truth will prevail.
You should have told them satan has a great place for them in hell and begged the rest of the church to come to jesus and find a real earthly Shepard. But instead you wrote a letter. Guess who is gonna keep winning?

John Stossel brave and determined voice of reason. We live in the time when common sense is not so common, when thinking is offensive and feeling is confused for understanding. Scary. This is what George Orwell was worried about. “War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.”

Most colleges are liberal.
Education is only as good as what is being taught and learned. Being educated shows the ability to learn but not necessarily the ability to critically think. Learning and thinking are two different skill sets. Learning without critical thinking is indoctrination.

Given what Kendi has said about ALL policies being either racist or anti-racist and his de facto definition of racist policy as "any policy that leads to racial disparities in outcomes," I REALLY want Kendi to step up and show solidarity in the fight against vaccine passports in those leftist governed cities where mandates are imposed. It's his Achilles heel, in that he must either denounce it outright or acknowledge that his entire world view is faulty. His silence on the matter is deafening, since the question has been floated by him by many prominent people with absolutely no response thus far. In the end, it proves that their rhetoric is not aimed at creating equality, but is simply an opportunistic grift designed to gain power, influence and wealth. As if the avowedly Marxist BLM leaders owning million dollar estates weren't enough proof of that already.
