- I just got off stage from performing my song, We Were Never Friends live on NBC in the live rounds of Americas Got Talent, what a ride! It was such a blast and a totally valuable experience to work with so many of the talented & kind people at AGT. As most of you know, I never saw myself participating in something like this but I’m so glad it all happened. If you’re new to my channel, I’ve been playing and making music here for a very long time so feel free to explore and I hope you find something you love :)
If you are watching this shortly after the performance, there may still be time to vote. There is an AGT official app that can be found for your phone and you can also vote with any device at nbc.com/agtvote - It's my understanding that you can award up to 10 votes, (possibly with both methods) to each of the contestants but the voting ONLY TAKES PLACE for about 8 hours after the live show. The results are announced Wednesday night on the live results TV show. If you are here after the Wednesday result show, then it’s been decided. Hopefully, I’m already busy figuring out how I want to deliver one more of my songs on AGT but if not, I hope you loved my performance of, We Were Never Friends.
I know a lot of you have been supporting my musical journey for years and you can be sure, I'll be making music the ways I always have and can't wait to release more of the songs I've been writing and recording. I should also be playing in the UK for the first time in the coming months so, I’ll see you across the pond yet in 2022!
I’m 18 years old and I’m a professional musician, songwriter & artist based out of Nashville. I play lots of instruments but the ones that I’m hired to play most often are drums, cajon and bass. I’ve been posting music related videos on UA-cam since I was 9 years old and began playing professionally at 14. I’ve always loved music and I’m grateful that it’s also become how I now make a living. This channel started as a combination of my fascination with drums and UA-camrs and it’s now turned into a much larger music and music business diary. My goals haven’t changed all that much over the years and stay pretty simple. I’d love to keep making music and hope to keep getting better at it.

Mia, you were brilliant. I keep hearing comments about your singing. These people apparently have never played on stage. Its easy to get winded playing one instrument. You play all the instruments while running from spot to spot and singing. There probably are not many people in this world with the talent to do this. I heard your best and you are an amazing singer, you are an incredible song writer and a fantastic performer. You deserve to move on. Keep your head high no matter what happens. Your fans love your talents.
Hey Russ, thank you man. I've got no problems with honest reviews and understand what I do & how I do it isn't going to match everyone's taste. A songs vocal range, the stage size & choreography, opening with a drum solo, running & playing additional instruments, all contribute to what I can and can't give to any vocal performance. I was happy with the performance and had a blast and that's really about as specific as I get for goals on any given show.
There have been hundreds of gigs and hopefully, there will be thousands more. I'm happy to hear when someone likes my art because I feel like they get a tiny piece of the joy I got when I wrote or played the song myself. If someone doesn't like it, they don't get that tiny gift, but either way, it doesn't cost me any more. How great a job or way to spend your time is that? It's how I intend to spend my life :)

I love how you are not phased while standing in front of a huge crowd, but you think twice (maybe more) before riding down a hill. Great job last night, and please give your Dad a standing ovation for being there for you every step of the way.

Thank you Martin, I just got home and digging into my socials after the trip. I had a blast both times I was out in CA working on the show. I'm thrilled they let me do original songs even knowing that's not exactly what the show or some of their audience is accustomed to. If you're here, you may already know about what I do but if not, there are years of songs and videos to dig through if you're interested. Regardless, I appreciate the kind comment and you taking the time.

You got my vote. I think Axl Rose said it best, "We're not here to make harmonies or pitch perfect sound, It's Rock n F**king Roll man. It's meant to be messy" Sure it was messy and and your harmony wasn't on que, but that's rock n roll. And you did an awesome job putting on the best 3 minutes of your life. I really hope you make it through the finals. I think JoJo Siwa will have a big influence on her friends audition. But when or lose, you got to the big show and got a lot of eyes on you in the music world. So if not winning, it may open up another world of possibilities. And I know your willingness not to let anything get you down, so either way, keep rocking the F**K out it. Your time is just around the corner.

I couldn't watch the show from my computer, even with a VPN connected in America, and I can't vote either without downloading the app. I feel so sorry for myself, but hopefully you will be able to show us your performance in another vlog and will then have mercy on those of us who couldn't be there. But I'm glad to read that you enjoyed it, I would loose all my means, I was even scared for you, but you seem to be strong and brave, and I'm sure you performed at your best.

I think you killed it girl. Regardless of what happens going forward, you got to showcase your talent (which is extreme!!!!) to over 6 million viewers. I was studying this old college trigonometry textbook from 8pm-10pm very frustrated all these complex graphs and equations just mortified and petrified me and then I looked up and by 9pm saw Mia blasting her true colors through the whole rafters on AGT!! Magnificent performance of "We were never friends"! You're going all the way to the top, I can feel it!!

Too many steps to keep track of I'd guess? How was your voice by the end of that performance? I mean on the live show, not in this video, lol. What you have give us here is pure gold!

I had to spend any down time not speaking towards the end because there was some wear & tear but that's the job. No excuses and no regrets - I had a blast, I think I found some new people that love my art and I'm just getting started :) I can do the SS dates if I don't do a 21 date tour over there that overlaps. As you probably guessed, I rather do the 21 but one way or another, I should be in the UK in 2022 :)

Of course there are more people that love your art. Even with many other fans I have connect with over the years, it blows my mind how many people I still hear about for the first time when friends have followed for age. Mia! 🥰 From that 'other side of the pond'!! Just watched the live performance on AGT ... wow a great original and the energy you brought was out of this world. What really sets you apart is the fact that you write, you play, you sing, you shine and at the same time you are genuinely enjoying it and that connects ... you're a one woman rock machine ... OMG Mia what's not to love about you and what you do. I would dearly love you to go through because I think this is what music and talent is all about ... I think sometimes the talent shows have lost their way with what their whole reason for existing is - the originality, the excitement and the sheer skill - fantastic stuff. Raw, emotional and mesmerising. Regardless of the outcome it brings you to the attention of a massive audience out there who, if they have any soul, are going to check out what you do and love it as much as I do. As I've said before you are already such an accomplished artist and well on your way to the top ... you are already a winner girl .. unstoppable and brilliant. Covers? :D Thank you Andy and I agree with you that the talent/reality shows aren't really about finding creativity but I knew that going in. I'm happy to do my thing and find the people that connect with my art regardless of what the tv show does with me. It's all upside IMO. By the way, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be touring in the UK as a sideman for an artist in oct & nov so I'll try to make sure you get more deets on that :)

That was a raw, energetic performance!.....the way rock n roll supposed to be! Was it perfect? No. You said it best when you told Simon "that's rock n roll man." There was a comment somewhere that you claim to be a multi-instrumentalist, but, you only play drums & guitar! That was such an ignorant statement! If you make it through (finger's crossed) I think you should throw everyone a curve ball by performing "Last Dance" behind a grand piano! That would shut up some of the naysayers! BTW, I loved the drum sticks & ukulele "throw aways" & the pick flick at the end of the performance🤘 You have our votes....Rock on!

AGT production did you wrong with all that neon pink or LED pink lighting just washed out the camera lens and it was hard to see you perform at times.

The show is rigged! That’s not fair at all, the shows name is America’s Got Talent, Mia you have more talent than anyone else on the show. You are a great singer and multi instrumentalist. We enjoyed your performance,, I totally disagreed with Howey’s and Simon’s critique. Your not only polished you can tell the level of experience you have on that stage. No doubt you perform a lot and AGT’s platform may be big I guarantee you reach more on the social platform you’ve been using. Your writing is great and will only get better which is the exciting part for music lovers like myself. Good luck not that it even matters because your already a star!
