  • Feminists for Free Speech presents a new live stream series: Where Are All the Women? A question asked perpetually with regard to the gender identity debate and attack on women's rights and free speech demands to know "Where are all the women?!" We are, after all the ones losing our sex-based rights and sex-segregated spaces. "The women" are, in fact, everywhere, but silenced, censored, banned from social media, and without platforms to speak out. Well, here we are. We are long time feminists who have been banished into political homelessness. We are advocates for free speech, civil liberties, and bodily autonomy, and we will continue speaking out, no matter how much we are bullied, ignored, threatened, silenced, and shouted down.
We are presenting a bi-monthly four-part live stream series beginning on July 6th at 5PM PT/8PM ET.
Our second stream will take place on Wednesday, July 19th at 5PM PT/8PM ET.
Watch all the "Where are all the women?" streams: • Where Are All the Women

Men have lost so much, they have nothing left to lose. I am a man. I have been silenced --- to a great extent by feminists --- so now I sit on the sidelines with my popcorn and beer, and I watch it all burn down. One only fights if there is a chance of a win.

I grew up with 2 friends, twins, who were raped repeatedly by their father when they were extremely young. This was in the late 80s/early 90s. After the mother got CPS involved he moved out, they divorced, and then he came out as transgender and did a full “transition”. After a while he found one of those pro-pedo therapists and a lawyer who convinced the family court judge that the girls should have to go to therapy with him and have supervised visits. The girls told me the “therapy” was always focused on how they, the child victims, needed to learn to have sympathy for “her” (their rapist father) and understand how hard it was for her to be trans. This went on for years. And that was way back before this whole mainstream trans movement. I lost touch with them after the late 90s, but I think they probably stopped seeing him as soon as they were 18 and had the legal choice to cut ties with their rapist father.

I had my first child at the height of the "pandie" and my baby was in NICU for a week. That being said, any type of lactation consulting was useless for me because they were all wearing masks, so I couldn't understand anything (they'd make facial movements, like "if your baby is doing this with their mouth" and then make the movement with their face covered...).
I turned to lactation groups on Facebook for help because I struggled SO badly. I was absolutely shocked and appalled that all the FB groups I joined censored gendered language so much. For instance, if you started out a post with "hi ladies!" or "hi mamas!", not only were you publicly shamed, you were forced to change the language as to not insult the... 0.0001% of the women in the group who identified as men? When other women stood up for us sane women within the group, the other women would shame and bully them. I think one of the groups even changed their name from "Breastfeeders..." to "Chestfeeders..." I ended up leaving all of those FB groups because that sort of thing was damaging my mental health.
I then turned to lactation consultants... but was also turned off that every single one of their websites were "gender inclusive" as well. Their websites all had language like "chestfeeding" and things like "men can chestfeed" "we welcome men".
I finally realized I was on my own. So not only was I totally isolated because no one felt comfortable being around me because of the common cold/flu, but I had no help with breastfeeding. I ended up having to exclusively pump for 1.5 years.

That breaks my heart to read. I’m so sorry you were alone when you really needed the help and caring of an experienced woman. The takeover of women’s services has happened here in Australia and I feel very sad for the young women now not being able to access real support. I had a wonderful lactation consultant in the late 90’s with my first child and that needs to be the norm again. This situation needs to be fought!

I am so sorry for you, I know that before the pandemic three of my nieces were helping other women to breastfeed (in their own area, as they don't live close) if they were having problems or just to encourage them because of the benefits for the baby. At that time I didn't know about this shite or I would have broached the subject, not had many family gatherings since and now I'm not sure how it would be taken as two of the three are quite young, so may be more accepting of the ideology. What really baffles me, is if these people are transitioning because they think they are really men born in the wrong body and have genuine gender dysmorphia, why would they want to have a child or breastfeed, surely that would send them apoplectic, so to my mind, there should be no need to change the language for people who would never put themselves in that position, which leads me to the conclusion that these people are just jumping on the new trend bandwagon. Anyway, so sorry you were denied the chance to feed your beautiful baby as you wanted, I hope we get to turn this around rather than having to go underground to secretly provide mothers the help they need without their language being policed and then attacked at what must be the most stressful time of their lives.

That's really sad. I breastfed my children and the first one was difficult, to put it mildly. I was surprised that such a natural process could be so difficult but what is also natural is for more experienced mothers to help & advise a new mother with the exclusively female understanding of the situation. This has happened down through the ages & only when we are supposed to be so 'enlightened' are we putting the moddlecoddling of attention seeking men in skirts before the welfare, physical & mental of new mums and babies.

The trouble is, people have been indoctrinated to believe they are truly victims and to see everything through that lens. When they hear someone disagreeing with them, they automatically assume that other person hates them and wants to take away their rights or harm them.
As someone who has genuinely experienced lesbophobia as a young teenager I find it insulting and infuriating. There are some recent polls that show gay acceptance has gone down because of all of this crazy push towards acceptance of pedophilia and taking away parental rights and those are conflated with being a lesbian or gay. 7% in a year in one of them. That's huge and alarming.

I attended the Michigan Womyn's Festival in 1996, '98, & 2000. It was a really special, unique experience each time and it really helped me spiritually. A few years back, I looked up the festival online and was sad to see it had been discontinued. I had read online that trans women had consistently tried to infiltrate the festival. I didn't know one of those people had murdered a couple until I watched this video. Kinda tells you all you need to know about the infiltration. I'm really glad the festival ran as long as it did because it was a special kind of unique energy. It would not have been the same had trans women be permitted to attend. (Although I'm sure some may have incognito.) Kudos to the organizer of the Michigan Womyn's Festival. She was really dedicated.

Thank you Meghan, Mary Lou and Isabella. You’ve inspired me again. I’ve been in such a slump since KJK was here in Melbourne in March and the trashing we got. I mean, if that event wasn’t illustrative of where are all the women… we have been here all along and are vilified by our so called leaders, threatened with ostracisation and job loss, we are treated like crazy tinfoil hat wearers and only now the conservative men are standing up, and are quite often continuing with the dismissive attitudes towards us, and make themselves out as our saviours. It’s infuriating and we have every right to be angry and bitter. That said, I do appreciate them speaking up and getting the message out at all - we have to get this gender nonsense stopped but I will not pretend women have done nothing thus far. The fools happy to hand away our rights need to listen to all sides and make up their own minds instead of kow towing to group think.

I am older GenX and find myself kinda amazed at how small and lonely my life is now. I am okay because I truly love myself and enjoy my own mind/company, but I never imagined that I would experience a mass die-off of my friendships simply because I shared my opinions and concerns. Meghan! I hope you will see my comment. You do sound bitter and I understand why!! 😂💜💜💜. However - hear me out: I am a black woman (early 20s) and one time my mom (late 60s) told my sister, “White women are your sisters, too.” My sister flipped out, she was like “hell no!” But with time and life experience she now knows it to be true. You are my sister and Matt Walsh and the like are your brothers and my brothers, even if we don’t see eye to eye on a number of things. Defeating gender ideology will require us to strategically collaborate and connect across lines of difference. We MUST exit all identity politics. We must find common ground and common language. We can’t let disagreements around abortion get in the way of the literal destruction of all humanity! Identity politics is a “divide and conquer” strategy. This is why I don’t identify as a feminist (partially also because it has historically excluded black women and because it so often makes men the enemy.) Men are NOT my enemy. We all sink or swim together. Yes, women and children are the first to suffer, but our lives are all interconnected. That is what Mother Earth teaches us. You can say that Matt and the like are capitalizing off of this but they too have wives, daughters, sisters, mothers, etc and I strongly believe many fight to protect them - the divine masculine! What kind of miracle would it be if conservative men and radical feminist women were to align forces!? We would be triumphant. I guarantee it. I have certainly had to heal wounds inflicted by white women and men of all races. But I can not let personal pathology fuel my politics; I refuse to reduce an entire group of people to their worst history and their worst qualities, especially when I have known their goodness and the potential for reconciliation as well. You are my sister, and sister, I hope you take the time to consider my comment!

I advocate strategically collaborating and connecting across lines of difference. It's one of the main things I've argued for over the past few years. Matt Walsh, on the other hand, creates division. He doesn't care about or respect women, which is why he refuses to support them or be honest about their contributions. My little sister just sent me this video. I’m perplexed as to how pro-women has come to mean anti-transwomen, if you believe that there is a difference between the two. The elephant in the room in 2023 seems to be male puberty. I would like to see our US government and legal system establish definitions. The definition of women can’t include people who have been through male puberty or women’s needs and rights are rendered meaningless. I think that women, transwomen, men, and transmen need to be recognized and defined as 4 separate categories, legally.

It took great fortitude and courage to persist and I'm grateful for Meghan's work. The scenes at the libraries in Vancouver and Toronto were horrific! As someone, though, who has been a social democrat all my life - but who now finds herself politically homeless - I am saddened to see some prominent gender critical women turn to libertarianism. And I don't mean just Meghan. I don't see how a libertarian government would help women and children, when they are all about small government, reducing and privatizing social supports such as health care etc, and removing restraints on corporate power. Of course we all have a right to our opinions - and our frustrations with current political parties. But I don't get it. Waiting for a better alternative, perhaps the Party of Women.

I was similarly frustrated by a recent video Michael Knowles did "debunking" veganism. Take on the real arguments and the best proponents, why don't you? I know some of their content is meant to be more entertaining, but he's being serious in some parts and it's a bit weak. Like Lex Friedman blocking Meghan when he's supposed to be this high-brow, nuanced intellectual? Literally a tertiary search would allow them and their audience to answer the question 'where are all the feminists' but I guess they can't be bothered - and the truth is that Shapiro's audience probably wouldn't like him aligning with feminists, because then where's the dramz? Male nurses are fine. I wouldn’t have had a male midwife for my kids, it makes no sense to me. I had a c-section for my second child and the doctor and nurses were male. It was horrible and a world away from my first (natural) birth with a female midwife. The men were making comments on my age and my body like I was an object, while I was having my son delivered. It made an already distressing situation even worse. The midwife was comforting and talked me through the birth and it was clear she knew exactly what was going on at every stage. It was a beautiful experience. I personally don’t want male carers of any kind, but others prefer them. We should always have a choice.

If you really have been outspoken against the trans issue since the beginning, then you clearly haven't been doing a very good job.
Here's the fundamental problem: the feminist movement, in particular third-wave feminism, was largely responsible for setting the stage for transgenderism to penetrate so deeply into public acceptance. This happened in no small part because the feminist movement was at least perceived to be arguing that there's no fundamental difference between male and female. You can argue till there's no breath left in your lungs that "feminists" never said that--it doesn't matter. That is how the public internalized the feminist movement. If you truly did not mean to implant the idea in the public consciousness that "gender is just a social construct" and there is no inherent difference between male and female, you failed miserably in your message.
The feminist movement also had the specific agenda of overturning longstanding cultural and societal norms. Traditional roles and functions were deemed overbearing, oppressive, or whatever other catch phrases were coined in order to denigrate the existing social order. There's no reasonable way to deny this. Well, congratulations. You got your wish. What we're seeing happen now is the natural and logical end point of the message the public has been hearing from feminists for 50 or 60 years now. Even if men had agreed with you and expressed an interest in working with you to do something about this issue at some point along the way, can you honestly say you would have accepted their help? I don't think you can. After all, it's not like you reached out to them during that time, either. You were--and in many cases still are--too busy demonizing them and declaring them members of the "patriarchy" and making it quite you didn't--and typically still don't--want anything to do with them. Even in this very video, the hostess struggles to give Jordan Peterson any credit for making cogent arguments against compelled speech and seems to feel resentment toward him. If she is a free speech activist as she claims, then she should be in favor of an ally arguing against compelled speech. Instead, she seems to be upset with him. Why?
Also, it's simply a fact that the vast majority of "radical feminists" are (to use US-based terminology) Team Vote Blue No Matter Who, and you have voted, past, present, and future, for the politicians who have enabled, endorsed, and now enforced "gender identity" into law. The vast majority of you will continue doing so indefinitely (you may, occasionally in online discussion, say that you won't, but when it comes down to it, you will). So your words haven't gotten the message across, and your actions have had a direct hand in leading to the rise of transgenderism. You're not blameless for this. Not at all.

    • @meghanemilymurphy
      @meghanemilymurphy  Рік тому

This is more than a red/blue issue. Conservatives in Canada all voted for Bill C-16 just as the Liberals and the NDP did. I fought to speak out and was silenced, censored, marginalized, vilified, and disappeared. No one would even publish me on this issue, barely. I did everything I could, almost alone. (And, if you knew anything about me at all, you would know that my entire career has been centered around criticizing third wave feminism.)
