I remember when the news came out of his death and being literally, 'gob smacked'. I couldn't wrap my mind around it, much as when Peter Duel committed suicide on New Year's Eve, 1971. I understand how most remember Paul from the F&F movies but to me, his part in, 'Pleasantville' is what I will always remember him for. I remember that time.
Superb video, never really a fan of the movies but he seemed like a good guy and the fact he died whilst essentially doing a fund raiser says it all, those last 60 seconds must have been terrifying, my dad always used to say, slow down son, better to be late in this world than to arrive early in to the next one, RIP to both of them.
I pray that for the 60 seconds they were alive they were unconscious and didn't know when the car exploded. Just peacefully slipped away. God bless them both and their family's. 🙏😪
In the original video, you see Paul Walker Stand up in the flames for a few moments before he falls. He was most certainly conscious enough to try to get out of the wreckage but what happens when someone is engulfed in flames are the lungs take in too much heat and fumes and quickly overcomes you because you simply cannot breathe in a fire. In the photos taken by the Police and the Fire Department after the fire was extinguished show Paul's body lying outside of the car face up. Meaning he was trying to get out. Roger Rodas died on impact. He was luckier than Paul in that respect. I wish he had died immediately too. I take comfort in knowing that when a person is in shock they don't feel anything or even understand what's happening to them. These ridiculously overpriced death traps shouldn't even be on the road. Porche should have been made to be held accountable but as usual big business gets a pass.
The ride was to see what was going on with the car because it had been acting up that day. That's why they were driving and Paul almost didn't go. Just a tragedy all around. If you read the autopsy report Roger was dead on impact. Paul was technically breathing but with his injuries the chances he was conscious are slim to none. So while he may have technically been alive it doesn't seem like he felt a thing. Which is a blessing in this tragedy. RIP Paul and Roger. You are missed.

After I saw the footage of the crash site with that fire starting so quickly, it was clear they had no chance. I think people believe they are invincible and nothing will happen to them. Speeding on that winding, narrow road with that car, I think more respect should have been given as to how dangerous a car that was being driven. Cars like that are run in professional racing events where firesuits, helmets and harnesses are worn driving cars like this at high speeds. They certainly did NOT deserve to die, but they shouldn't have been going that fast in that car on that road. Was SO sad seeing Paul's co-stars showing up at the scene. Not a dry eye in my house. If anything good can come out of it, MAYBE a few people slowed down on that road, or anyone driving that car model slowed down a bit and maybe had second thoughts about speeding on open roads. Thankfully, no other vehicle was involved in the crash. Makes you realize how precious life is.😥

That "17' " mark is most likely a City marker for a triangulation point to a specific location in the street for something they needed to find later; probably something that was paved over that needed to be raised after the asphalt was laid. We do that all the time in construction to find something that has to be buried during construction and exposed at a later date so things like sewer manholes, water valves, etc can be re-located and their boxes can be placed. (You might notice that street boxes and covers have a circle of fresh asphalt around them... this is why. They are covered with the initial pavement and then uncovered later, a box and lid are placed over the utility, and then new asphalt is placed around them.)

The reason why the Carrera GT is so sought-after and special is that it is seen as the last hoorah for a lot of sports car purists. It had no traction nannies, no stability control, a manual transmission, and a V10 that screamed bloody murder all the way to 8,400 rpm.15 Nov 2020
@@wildheartxxx135 Its very sad indeed, and it is possible that might of been the case. My theory is that he gave the keys to his friend that day for a test drive of this car/beast, and that the guy floored it and lost control of the vehicle. I assumed Paul, had professional training from a race driver/ stunt driver and knew how to handle this skittish race car very well. The guy who was driving it didn't have the driving knowledge of what to expect from a racing car with 6-700 bhp. Paul would of taken that car up that patch of road on many occasions with no problem. By handing over full driving control to someone else sealed this very unfortunate event. Also the road was not designed for racing in the street as the street furniture is lethal on impact at high speed. A race track is safer on impact because the crash barrier is softer! and able to take the high speed impact safer.
If you can't drive or take good care of a car like this, it's gonna bite you one day. I had the luxery of driving a Carrera GT a couple of times, and it's not the ferocious beast everone is talking about. Until you're driving it on or over the limit it's when it's becoming scary, and I that's a difficult line to cross

Insightful words when you mentioned, how death is real and how short life is. As if death can't happen to you, but no one is immortal. Many people don't seem to realize this, so they can take needless risks with their life, and end up losing it. His life gone in a blink of an eye, and there's no talking it back. I was just like you and in 2017 I finally managed to save and fly over from the UK to visit. It was sureal after coming so far, there was no one there as it was a weekend, it was so peaceful and I just stood for a few minutes to pay my respects.
Your Dad was a smart man. I've never heard that before I like it!
I pray that for the 60 seconds they were alive they were unconscious and didn't know when the car exploded. Just peacefully slipped away. God bless them both and their family's. 🙏😪
Sad Paul was able to feel the fire after awakening according to the medical examiner report.
The driver died instantly, his brain was showing. Paul felt some of the pain. Hopefully not as much as I think.
Similar to like kobe right?
@@Meriale46 It does not show him stand up
The ride was to see what was going on with the car because it had been acting up that day.
Really, if the driver knew there was possibly something wrong with the car tgen it was extremely irresponsible to drive that fast.

Well said
After I saw the footage of the crash site with that fire starting so quickly, it was clear they had no chance.

Their death has nothing to do with speed and it was NOT an accident, they were murdered,Paul was murdered!
