Elliot, you just got a new subscriber! I was casually searching for reviews on this notebook, which I ordered. And hot dog, you're awesome. Keep on writing.

Just bought a few in the Black Friday sale, seemed the best value available. Thanks.
I should add that even though the paper doesn’t dry your fountain pen ink instantly, it’s an excellent paper for FP ink! No feathering or bleed through etc.

Thank you! I was worried since this is fairly expensive for me and I bought it mainly for fountain pens lol

I don't think it's designed to be used as a softcover notebook on its own, but as a (re)fill for a separate cover. Midori sells its own leather, paper and plastic covers that fit these notebooks, but book will fit in any A5 notebook cover. I use mine with an A5 brown leather cover from Amalfi, works perfectly.

I used some grayscale Tombow dual markers on a diagram and they didn’t bleed through. None of my fountain pen ink has bled through, not even a Sharpie. Saw a little ghosting from a Pentel Brush pen but no bleed. So, the paper is good to go for me.

Phew I was a bit worried since I bought this for my first fountain pen

There's no bleed-through but ghosting is terrible and that could be a deal breaker for some people.

Correct, very hard to use on both sides.

That's very true, but to be honest, as a person who has around 15 of thee A5 Lined notebooks, I really like how the ghosting looks for some reason lol.

have you tried a .05 or .07 Sharpie or do they give out too much ink for you?

@@theelliotchan Thanks. Sharpie's give out a LOT of ink so wondered. They're no good on Hobonici Techo (bleed thru)

Is it okay to get one of these cause I forgot to buy a calendar in January?
Need to become more organized. As a former olympic style fencer I need to become disciplinarian.
