So this is the first example in science of what a paradigm shift between a reductionist approach and a holistic idealistic approach looks like. It is amazing. We've been looking for this in scientific research. I think the consensus was it would occur in physics, Quantum phys ics first, not biology. Michael's work is a practical expression of a philosophical shift and thought and understanding. Congratulations Michael! Thank you Hans for making it available. And, I admire Bernardo for not being dogmatic about the fine details of analytic idealism but rather allow the process of collective thought to occur among all of us.

@@thomasdavies2555 Sure, the interviewer could have pushed back on him, but that doesn't appear to be the purpose of the interview. It could have easily been longer, as it was fairly short by the standards of podcasts. I think this was just for him to state his case. I'm sure as this becomes more well-known and clinical applications become more widespread, he will have LOTS of challenges from the scientific establishment. It's already used in some hospitals right now, including the University of Toronto, close to where I live, except they call it "Biomedical Systems Engineering". To avoid the label, I guess.
I've been treated there with bioelectric medicine for various problems, and it's pretty amazing stuff. I didn't really know what was happening other than we all have electrical fields that promote healing, but it worked. If it became 100x better, based on the results I got in terms of healing old injuries and 20 years of back pain, including cartilage regeneration, it could basically restore our bodies to a youthful state. IF it was 100x better. Which it is not. Unfortunately. Yet.

We are so blinded by the collective paradigm of our society (well, both helped and blinded… but blinded to the limitations). Here we are conscious beings-and we are trained to look outward to material answers for our conscious experience. I’ve found that this is why deep introspection and shadow-work is so important. Even for a “material” scientist they are only as effective as their attitudes-their own conscious lens or mirror-will allow. Meditation and contemplation are vitally important methods to make the way to truly comprehend.

At the 50 minute mark when he had just explained how cancer cells detach from their neighbor cells and were successfully reoriented in the frog model he mentions implications for therapeutics. You then turned the conversation toward mind meld and consciousness (which was great too) but my primary interest is in the cancer therapeutic potential and how that is being studied and tested and designed into clinical trials, as I have a son with brain cancer. Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.

Attitude toward life itself makes some difference especially to the way we feel this or that - happy or depressed; confident or rather anxious and fearful. However it is not easy to change a deeply entrenched attitude. The mind can be is conditioned but we don't just want to superficially recondition our conditioning. What kind of person is it who knows "in his bones" that regardless of circumstances "everything will be alright". Someone once said the most important question is: Is the the universe a friendly place? What if it is? And how would we find that out? Who was that wise person who said, "All is well and will be well again." What kind of core attitude is this and what allows it to be in a person. What makes some people very resilient and others not so much? Is being resilient a form of intelligence?

    • @byronofcascadia8629
      @byronofcascadia8629 Годину тому +1

You ask how to “find out” whether the universe is friendly…which points us outward looking at something vast outside us. And, as is suggested here, we are trained under a materialist paradigm to look in a way we’ll never see much if anything. I’ve found that those who “know in their bones” have taken some intuition around some experience of the “good, beautiful, and/or true” and contemplated that. Also, you are correct that “it is not easy to change a deeply entrenched attitude.” This is why deep introspection and shadow-work is so important. Even for a “material” scientist they are only as effective as their attitudes-their own conscious lens or mirror-will allow. Meditation and contemplation are vitally important methods to make the way to truly comprehend. .

This sounds like what Alfred North Whitehead worked out in philosophy over a hundred years ago... but then... and since then... Ideas that are not politically acceptable are not accepted without experimental evidence, and experiments are not done because the idea is not acceptable. So grateful for thinkers who break the mold.

  • @rhiegemann

Under stress, the DNA stretches and thus becomes more susceptible to diseases! Meditation, like sleep, helps to keep the DNA small in its original form, so it doesn't make it susceptible to disease! Bioelectricity is also a huge topic for me and this video has hit me like a bomb! I have been dealing with the pineal gland for 15 years and am chasing a phenomenon that I had during a meditation in 2010. That's why I started a group on Facebook in the hope that people would support me in explaining/being able to understand my phenomenon! Dr. Joe Dispenza gave me the answer to my phenomenon half a year ago, because since this event the distribution/composition of the chemistry in my head, which the pineal gland tacts, probably changed! Since then I feel like a twenty-year-old with my 67 years! I'm just writing this because I think you can explain it better❗️💚🇨🇭

51:16 it’s called being social and antisocial. If your entertaining external social stimuli you are connected to the external world. Different people (like different tissue) respond differently but are still ACTIVELY engaged. You could say antisocial people are a cancer but that has wild implications if your someone who wants to apply the reasoning of the level below to this one. Which as Micheal pointed out in the beginning, does not make sense.

The agents that could have this additional effect include statins, metformin, doxycycline and mebendazole - not drugs normally associated with an oncologist’s armory, but ones that appear to work on metabolic pathways that are common to most cancerous growths.
This drug combination has been demonstrated to interfere simultaneously with a number of proteins or signaling pathways. The effect is to kill cancer cells, prevent their multiplication or reprogram them to behave like healthy cells.
Used together, the drugs could change the outlook for the 150,000 cancer patients in Britain alone, who every year are told there is nothing more that can be done to halt progress of their disease. They could also save vast sums spent on chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments that can prove ineffective for the majority of patients offered them.

"a complex system emboldens the unobservable properties of its parts"
We can learn how to govern the parts from observing ourselves, and we can learn how to govern ourselves by watching our parts. If you could imagine scale as a line (its own spatial dimension,) we are observing a growth across it by extrapolating the small, and interpolating the large, applying the self to things.
The self is a point within scale, but we can use large scales to drag the small scale out of its own self, by inflating it with power, like with CERN. we can drag the large towards us by diminishing its projected power, like with telescopes. We cannot know the self of the atom because we are not the atom, we cannot know the self of a planet because we are not the planet, We are lonely, in scale.
How do we become an atom and come back? How do we become a planet and return? Are different selves across scales attempting, or have achieved the same process? Are aliens atoms? Are aliens planets? Is this making me schizophrenic? I only have one answer to the latter-most, and it is ever-so-slightly "yes."

What does Levin think about chi kung? The art of energy. Lots of wisdom traditions found a way to inner silence and peace through energy practices (chi kung, kundalini yoga, kriya yoga, tantra, vajrayana buddhism etc). For example if I visualize connectin to heaven and earth energy I get very strong energy. A later step in the healing tao system. I dont think science can explain this now. I cant really understand it either, except that I am sure it is very real and certainly not placebo for me.

The rather general use of the term hardware is interesting however the genomic factors and conditions whether native or emergent at its computational scale may be better defined as firmware within software and the hardware being what occupies the 3dimensional matter and factors 🤔

@emrysmcwryn7902 it's going to be a long process. Start by being true to yourself and stop caring so much about what every one thinks of you.Remember how mysterious amd wonderous the world was to you as a child and reclaim that in your life now. Be content always, don't worry of the past or the future and always tell only the truth. Use no judgment on anything. Don't seek acceptance from anyone. Realize you are your habits and change for the good. Be persistent in blocking any negativity entering your mind the second it starts.realize that the world will be exactly how you decide to perceive it. Love everyone of the world and every thing in it sincerely. Seek wisdom as though your life depended on it because it does. Treat your life like you were creating your lifes masterpiece. Take care of yourself like you were caring for someone that you deeply loved. Stop judging others and yourself. Know that the only time that something is bad to you or your anxious about something is when you decided it,and only you can control that, nothing else. Be content and stop letting your ego drive you. Know that someone that causes you anger or anxiety is your master when that happens. Take control of yourself and become wise, loving and content. The rest will follow if you continue to keep doing this.

Isn't this showing the relationship between us individually and the human collective. Our individuality is important needs to remain in continuity and communication with those about us. Yet, if the collective is out of alignment, it takes strong individuals to restore the alignment, the light houses.

Very interesting. Makes it seem almost like those kookie people with the "magnetic bracelets" and stuff for healing might have been onto something - _even if that SPECIFIC idea_ does not work by being too simplistic, they may have intuited correctly a new modality of medicine where that manipulation of electromagnetic fields _in some fashion_ could be used to treat and cure disease.

Do we have any way of knowing for sure whether these kinds of electrical "information" networks that work between cells to produce desirable survival results were also extant and "in action" in place in the very earliest of organisms, in prehistoric protozoa for instance at the very beginning of life's presence on Earth?---do we have a way to scientifically nail that down as being trully an active process, at these earliest of early stages of life here, with only fossil remains? Or have we determined that this interactive "group" cellular intelligence also had to evolve over time?----meaning there are signs of, well, "sloppier" (for desperate need of a proper term ) attempts at making biological systems work in the fossil record?
Apologies for the crude simplicity of the questions. I'm just a lay person trying to grasp ideas that fascinate me, which I am not fully armed to engage in in full command of the facts and knowledge actually needed. Thanks so much. ;)
