People who don't like the outcomes? People who hate bats? Who knows, and who really cares about people who feel the need to let the world know they're not happy about something, instead of just moving along to find something they do like. I never look at the likes or dislikes, so it fails to affect me in any way. People who dislike stuff are irrelevant except in their own minds.
@@SundaeSaurus I learned that on this channel. I learned that other people's issues aren't mine and they can coexist beside me without affecting me. I have my own issues; I don't need to feel responsible for other people's issues.
“ ‘My little sweetie’ you say? Allow me to introduce myself!” It was adorable how sweet he was once he realized you didn’t want to hurt him, and you gave him some delicious juice and glucose. I love these creatures!
God isn't helping the flying foxes; Meg and others like her are. I appreciate the work they do without presuming they'd appreciate my religious sentiments.
@Liza Tanzawa I hear what you are saying. But I'd rather not transpose when people assume their religion/god to be the default. I know there is no harm intended, and that the OP wanted to express good wishes in their own language. I made my earlier comment to help the OP and others hear that Meg has stated elsewhere that she is an atheist and that God-talk is not de rigueur here. (She is more than capable of speaking for herself, but I happen to feel similarly so I took the opportunity to bring it up. I mean, ultimately this is Meg's channel and I'm sure she has better things to do than repeat herself responding to each prayer/angel/god comment :P) Diversity is beautiful and I am content to let other people have their faiths. At the same time, I don't have to be grateful for the un/intentional act of erasure that occurs when they assume their gods are mine. It makes me uncomfortable, and since I know that's probably not their intention, it's a nice opportunity to let them know how that impacts me -- this leads to more intercultural understanding I think. It can be harmful to deny the autonomy/difference of the person you interact with. I don't go around challenging people's faith out of the blue, that's their business as long as they're not hurting anybody. I'm happy to engage/discuss respectfully with people who see things differently from me, and I have lived in theocracies without breaking out in a rash :) I have friends of all kinds of religions, and I have friends who are atheists. I like well-wishing and positive thinking and solidarity to be sure. But it's not respectful to put your deity on someone else, especially when they have asked you not to. This is especially true in the case of proselytizing religions, and for those of us who have family histories in which people were forced to assimilate to other people's god worship. Anyway, those are some of my thoughts on the matter. Peace :)
