I came up with a (relatively) easy way to clean mine. I use a Swiffer. It has a long handle that reaches. On the pad, I put a small microfiber cloth. It fits nicely, and the edges fit into the Swiffer holes. Spray a good streakless glass cleaner from the automotive store or department, Wipe forward and back to wet. Change out with a new clean and dry micro cloth to wipe in same direction. It works great.
You can't clean what you can't reach. We recommend trying out the Reach and Clean Tool and leaving that other one in the house, but it sounds like you've got a good process!
