I want to love the commandos because they're such a cool concept, but they just don't seem very good. 7 points nearly buys you a Force user crew (it actually does with The Child, if you accept the disadvantages) and they just don't seem to do much. I've played against them a few times and they barely mattered.
@@Dasharr Yeah definitely, but it just depends on the list. In a swarm list, they can potentially strain a ship to help push in some damage or like in this Gar list they can be an extra 3 die attack with a single mod. If your opponent takes time to shoot them over a ship, it is one less attack on your ships. It just really depends on your loadout

I may have to give 2.5 a go, I don’t like the loadout value and new rule set but I forgot how much fun this looks
I recommend trying it. Give it a bit though, I was someone who was trying to stay positive about 2.5 but I wasn't digging it at first but it's growing on me again. Still some things I don't like but I'm giving AMG time to make more adjustments.
