Writer and Activist Matt Rothschild

Matt Rothschild has combined a lifetime of activism and writing. He is currently the executive director of the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign. Prior to joining the organization at the start of 2015, Matt worked at The Progressive magazine for 32 years. For most of those, he was the editor and publisher of The Progressive.

Tax churches, there is nothing special about them or worthy of the huge gift given them by this. How many millions or billions go untaxed. If they paid taxes we could already have new roads, better schools, free college. Just by treating them as the business that they are. Personally I believe that is how they fit into America. I don't quote the bible much but, Jesus said you must pay your taxes to Rome. I doubt Rome gave churches a tax break, so they paid also. What changed.
