Just want to say the Interview section was what made this for me - great, natural conversation rather than interrogation, good lighting and implied respect between the two of you. Well done mate this is your strength.
Great first show Mark, i really enjoyed it! Awesome interview too with Daniel. Gonna make sure to shoot my album to you when its finished. Guitar is not dead! - just needs some new blood, rock on man.
I still don't know if telling (and disregarding) that ALL other guitar channels (and clearly pointing to Andertons) are boring is a smart move to get some attention.. By doing so, you better step up your game! Because arrogance + amateur show = pure cringe. It would have been just funny if you were humble. I'm not sure Norm would agree with your behavior because: who would give money to a general manager who spread negativity? Maybe when you grow up and gain some confidence in your show, you wouldn't feel the need to put the others down to feel yourself better.
Literally nowhere in this video does he mention Anderton's. What's interesting is that I subscribe to Lee's channel, watch both his and Rob's videos and I still don't get it. Are you proposing that only Anderton's does the stereotypical "let's compare this cheap ass Chinese guitar to a Fender Custom Shop guitar and see what we all think?" videos? Are you really that ignorant to think that only Anderton's does those types of videos? There are literally hundreds of guitar fanatic youtube channels that do this kind of shit. Why is it that you think Anderton's has some sort of patent on it? They don't. I wasn't even going to respond until I watched the entire video here and discovered that literally nowhere in this video does Mark call out Anderton's. Am I missing something or am I just retarded?
Loads of respect from my country Pakistan, my love for country and blues music makes me shiver sometime and I can listen to all day and night! Will be tuned for more episodes. Congratulations!
K: 1 - Loose the Anderton’s ditching. Makes you sound cocky and unappreciative of their audience who might also follow you. There’s a market for everyone in the guitar world, cheap and expensive, and it’s totally cool to provide accessible content, especially when it’s high quality and fun. 2 - Get a decent set of voice mics. 3 - Don’t pretend your format is unique when it’s not. Nikki Sixx channel was actually pretty similar. On the other hand I totally get and encourage the TV format ambition. It’s super cool. Great show overall. The content is super interesting, the guest is great, and the playing is tasteful as can be.
Yeah, he’s got a LONG way to go before he’s as interesting and well done as the Andertons shows. They come off as modest, charming, self effacing guys you’d want to hang out with, and not pretentious know it alls.
I like this guy okay most of the time, but when he has the same level of success as the guys from Andertons, then he can poke fun. They may be kind of dorky, but they are both exceptional players (far out of this guy's league)
Earlier I expressed polite dissatisfaction of the audio, and that Mark/Jen need to up their game, but I failed to acknowledge that I enjoyed the content overall and Jen's multi-camera setup and subsequent cuts/editing. She didn't get thrown off by the bright window behind Daniel, either. I'll bet this show grows really well as Mark and Jen create, and then settle into, a groove. Much admiration for the fun and hard work you must be having/doing. Bravo!
I'm glad you're doing this. I discovered you and Norms about a year ago. It's been a daily watch ever since. I'm looking forward to seeing what you have in store here. Best of luck.
So glad this guy was brought on as the first guest. He’s an absolute beast of a player. You called him for what he is, Mark: a master of the Telecaster.
Love you guys, but it's REALLY time to step up the production, Mark/Jen, as others here have said. Echoey audio from an on-camera mic is not the way to go. You do NOT have to turn all Hollywood, or ruin the vibe of the show, to do a basic upgrade that will improve the enjoyment. 500+ Guitars-of-the-Day in a storage room, fine, but now you're taking on something quite different and it should show. Please up the skills just a bit. Thank you. I'm a big fan.
@@vince3804 OK, "dood"...Say what you want, but there's absolutely no doubt that some of the suggestions here actually need to be said, and many people are commenting on the same thing. They obviously prepared (got a guest, had a logo made, etc.) and one of the things that continues to be not quite right is the audio.
Agreed. They’re also in the entertainment business, so they should have boom mics that are accessible, as well as mixing equipment if they want that. It’s the small touches that will take this to the next level. And it’s the small stuff (hissing in the background of the audio, uneven lighting, etc.) that will keep the show from snagging a bigger audience. None of this speaks to the quality of the content. It’s more in presentation. And in entertainment, presentation matters. Love you, Jen and Mark! I’m confident you’re gonna nail it after a few episodes.

Hey Mark and Jen - great first episode. I'm looking forward to seeing how the show develops. The interview with Daniel Donato made it for me - a really nice relaxed vibe and genuine interest in your guest. I'll definitely check out more of his playing.
Love the content. Love the format... but please, please, please invest in some sound reflection control, better mics or both. Hope to see more in the future! :) :) :)
I thought the jam with Daniel in Marks living room sounded good, but yeah, the room where he has the green screen needs to be properly treated for sure.
@@israelcox3570 Oh yeah, the natural reverb of the room on the Jam sounded great, but the spoken word stuff needs to be a lot clearer. Especially if Mark wants it to be to the quality of other stuff on UA-cam. :)
Nice show. I definitely agree with the need for a mic. One for and you and one for Jen. She needs to be on screen and share in the revenue from the show. No need to call out Anderton's. If it wasn't for me finding their video's and getting hooked on guitar video's, I probably wouldn't have found Norm's GOTD and thus this show. Chill. Good luck.
I'm no expert just a listener. It's your first show and you get a pass. Taking shots at others is never a show of confidence, do your thing and the rest will come. Always enjoy listening to the young guns in their natural state with their ideas of evolving into something of thier own. They are ones that will keep the past alive. Someday we'll see this young man in his ganduer and remember these times. As for the technical issues they've been clearly stated before and yes the laughing is a bit much. Overall enjoyed it, let's see how it goes. I'll be tuned in next week.
A fun casual show with a great musician and you were totally focused when he was demonstrating his picking style. Great fun I can’t wait until the next one.
Great show to both Jen and Mark! If you're open to suggestions: - I think the news segment takes away from the show. Visually it doesn't relate to the rest of the show and topical news doesn't age well. Although the show is ostensibly about guitars, it's really about aesthetics. If you can match what we see with what we hear, you'll be successful. - The sound could be better. I realize it's your living room, not a studio, but you can get acoustic panels relatively inexpensively that'd really improve the way it sounds. - Consider some establishing shots. Pan over guitars, the books on the coffee table, the wine glasses, unfocused long shots of Mark and the guest, etc. Emerald City Guitars does a great job of this on their channel.
Hey Mark, always love your store videos, this is another level and a fantastic complement to what you do and who you are! Thanks for hitting the bullseye for us nerds, love from the UK
You’ve gotta get a proper mic setup man this show is gonna be awesome but a mic setup would make an enormous difference.
Tony Montoya i totally agree. Great show but i turned it off as audio was horrible
I agree. Pro audio = Pro show.
Although, pro mic's are always the way to go.... even this audio could benefit from some compression and noise reduction.
That was the first thing I noticed too.
Absolutely!!! Get a mic setup properly and it wil be perfect!!!

TMZ has that wiggily camera. They do it on purpose for Style. I have to close my eyes gives me a headache. LOL
Love Daniel’s sharp pickin’ over the ES’s muted thump; thx for giving the players what they want Mark, looking fwd to more of these. Cheers for going the extra mile and bringing in real players and up n comers. Diggin’ DD’s hybrid double stops. Also in closing, I like that you’re hittin the sauce on these and the RJ pic with the snark had me rollin lol...
This show would be way better without Jen laughing in the back... It's not guitar of the day ffs
shut Jen up
I think it's the bubbly or cocktails.
Great start Mark and Jen. Big DD fan here too....I'm really looking forward to more episodes!!! Thanks for what you do!
Frank Stallone hates the Mark Agnesi Show
Sylvester Stallone does not though.
@@GeorgeElliasVideos he's undecided at best
I fuckin love it, ya jagoff!

Thanks Mark, dig the background and logo. Appreciate what your doing here 🎉✌️
I forgot to add....Champagne around the coffee table, while pickin' guitars.....You're doing it Right!
m cmdrpiffle gravy!
Very exciting stuff Mark and Jen! Loved the rant btw... Made my day!
"Cosmic American Music" was a phrase coined by Gram Parsons in the early 70's. SAME music! Wish that was mentioned in this video :)
Loved it, well done. Can't wait for the next episode.
and jen-no need to giggle at every word
@Ronnie Hudson no its lame
@Ronnie Hudson You're a dick. It's lame.
Hi there!!! Great show....lovin‘ it and can’t wait to see more!!!
Keep on Rockin !!!
Bro, if Jen doesn't stop cackling and butting in off camera, good luck keeping subscribers.
The bar back turned you off of the big screen at one of the larger establishments here when people kept voicing their anger.
Just sayin.
You do you though bro.
😉👍
Great first show. Loved the guitar playing and the rant. I’m all in. Can’t wait till next week😎🎶🎸👍
Loving the show! But Mark, please, invest in lapel mics!
This is pure gold. I love it, please keep it going.
so every show/review on youtube its lame you say? .... man you really need to check john bolinham from Premier guitar.. and learn from him... a lot...but first to me humble .. but in not sure if one can learn that...
Damn well said bro! 😉👍
He sounds really coocky to me.
Great To See Ya Rock And Rollin' Something Else. Wish Ya Luck With The Show.
Chill. Good luck.
:)
Hey Mark and Jen, I really enjoyed this. Congrats and well done. Looking forward to future episodes.
If you're open to suggestions:
- I think the news segment takes away from the show.
