I bought this 2 TB disk from Ninja V but with the latest firmware 10.54 and a Sony A7S3 (ProRes RAW) camera this disk works with errors, when watching a video, the disk turns off and there are still various errors. Atomos wrote that these errors happen only with their 2 TB disk. The question is, do I need to buy another smaller drive or will this error be fixed with firmware updates?

Can assimilate scratch convert Prores RAW to CinemaDNG? Or is it only available on Assimilate Play Pro?

Go away scratch. The user interface is atrocious. Add proper support for RAW WB and ISO inside FCPX for all supported cameras.

Well, sadly I don't work for Apple, so I can't add anything to FCPX. But we're doing these videos for a reason - to get you acquainted with SCRATCH. The UI is actually incredibly fast, once you 'get' it - that might take a moment, but hey - take a look at the previous two videos introducing the UI. It's really simple once you got the gist ;-) .

@@mazzeaderhold4045 I'm sure it's great, but I've already paid for Resolve Studio, and I'm paying for Adobe Premiere (I'm using Windows unfortunately so no FCPX). I'm not going to pay another monthly subscription or a large one-off fee for Scratch. Also look at this UI - you have to be joking.

@@WonderBoggle I’ve been looking at this UI for the better part of the last 10 years :-) .
I know it can look daunting, but do believe me, once you used it for a couple of days,
you’ll understand why things are laid out the way they are - and that it’s incredibly fast to work with.
You know, it’s like an F16 Falcon - you don’t learn it in a day, but once you master it, it’s fucking amazing to fly ;-) .
Else - of course, I understand - not everybody is looking to buy yet another piece of software.
That’s totally fine. All we’re doing here, is show you how to work with ProRes RAW in SCRATCH.
What’s to complain there? We literally took every little thing ProRes RAW users asked for to heart
and implemented it - which you can’t say about either Resolve, or Premiere.
We were the first application outside of FCP-X, that supported ProRes RAW.
Because we got a ton of requests by our users - so we went ahead and made it happen as fast as physically possible. And immediately after the release people asked us, whether we could add more debayer modes - so we did that. SCRATCH is the only tool on the planet that allows to debayer ProRes RAW straight to
RED WideGamutRGB/Log3G10, or Alexa Wide Gamut / LogC - or even ACES.
Next, people asked us about white balance controls for ProRes RAW - so we did that.
We implemented these long before Apple did with FCP-X.
I can honestly say that SCRATCH has the best ProRes RAW support there is - and it is
      100% based on user input.
So if SCRATCH is still not for you, that’s alright. I get it and am happy to accept it.
If you want all of what we did for SCRATCH in Resolve, or Premiere - by all means, talk to Blackmagic and Adobe. But what’s the point of asking for that here under this video? Seriously, I don’t get it.
It’s not like either Atomos or Assimilate have any influence on what BMD and Adobe do with their software.
All I’m telling here is “Hey - if you need to do this and that with ProRes RAW, there is an app that can do this - on Windows and OSX - and it helps you do your job and I'm happy to show you how to use it.”
I mean - it's an offer, you don't have to take it.
Lastly, one more note, just about Assimilate in general:
When the crisis hit, we announced all of our software for free - until end of October.
Not just 3 months free, but 7 months!
Not just for “existing customers”, but anybody - no questions asked.
Not just one license, but as many as you want.
Name any other software company that did this for its users (and non-users, I might add).
This in particular enabled a lot of people to work with ProRes RAW (especially on Windows) in the past 7 months. Assimilate is a great company, which sticks close to its users and listens to them and cares about them. That’s gotta be worth something, right?

@@WonderBoggle I downloaded Scratch to play around with it. It's awful. You can't drag in clips from the Finder, and doesn't integrate with macOS hardly at all. I will never use Scratch. Add support for Prores RAW adjustments for all cameras in FCPX and forget about Scratch.
