To this day, this video.. and rendition of this song, brings me to tears!!! Our world needs this kind of Love and Respect for each other right now!!! Thank you Dispatch for being the example ❣️❣️❣️
Does anyone remember the live version of this song that included “Like a prayer” and “What I got” at the end? I know I have it on a CD-R somewhere. If not there’s a hard drive I harvested from my college PC that probably has it and everything else I got from Kazaa.
I was also at this concert. It was an unforgettably great experience. I remember when they 1st announced the Madison Sq. Garden show, tickets sold out before sales were open to the general public. The first wave of tickets was exclusive to something like their MySpace and other social media following. Something like that. They snatched em all up. So, they said they'd also play a show the next night too (Saturday). BAM! Same thing... sold out immediately to a 2nd huge wave of fans. And then, yes... they said they'd play a Sunday show too. I got tickets to the Sunday show (finally!). Literally drove from Ohio to Jersey w/six of us squished in a little Chevy Cavalier. We then parked & hopped a train into N.Y. City. Got there maybe 2 hours early & watched such a great show. Directly after, we hopped back on the train @ Grand Central back to Jersey. We were back in Ohio by morning. Such an awesome memory of the best 24-hour day trip adventure ever!
i dont really care how long it will take for change to happen but at least these people are trying to help. most of the people in the world dont care. im from zimbabwe so this is very meaningful to me. thi song is amazing... thankyou dispatch
Anyone else get stuck in traffic in Connecticut after the last show? We met a bunch of other Dispatch fans at 2AM on the highway in traffic. I was the one playing Camilo on my friends car. Just wanted to say hi. That night was one of the best nights of my life.
I have never been so obbessed with anything the way I was with this concert...i ended up going all three nights. Still months later I get goose bumps watching this.
I'm just getting into this band and I seem to love them more and more. They're pretty awesome. My carpool has got me listening to this flying horses song over and over again and it's kinda starting to grow on me.
i went sunday night and it was the best show i have ever been to such a great vibe that you can only find at a dispatch show! can't wait to get the dvd!!
I was there!!!! 7 of us drove from Minnesota to New York to see these fellas. Amazing, moving, emotional show. I bought the DVD which is also AWESOME!!
5:55 I think at that point he realized that he started and was a part of something far bigger then him, the band Dispatch, and everyone at that concert. This is by far the most beautiful display of human compassion I have seen in a long time. Dispatch 2011 is going to be amazing :D
4 years later and i still revisit this video every now and then just because it's single handedly the most beautifull live performance i've even seen DISPATCH RULZ MAN
If I remember correctly, the opening lyrics in Swahili (?) are a traditional greeting in Kenya that loosely translates to: "Are you strong?" "I am strong." "I am strong if you are strong."
This video is so awesome, one of the best heart-wrenching videos I have ever seen. The kids are wonderful! And the song is beautiful! I love it! The only thing better would be if I saw it live.
This guys rocked harder than anyone else cuz they rocked for a reason, that is to help other human beings! it doesnt get any more beautifull than that :) Brazil sincerely misses Dispatch, best band ever.
Has to be the best concert I have ever seen and I don't know why but it did then and still brings happy tears to my eyes every time I watch this. Already have my tickets for the NJ and Red Rocks shows and may be going to see them at the Greek in CA and Boston too!
One of the best concerts I have ever been to in my life, I went the final night. They played for almost 3 and a half hours and rocked the roof off MSG, I'll never forget it.
I've got to shake chad's hand and you never really know what people are like but he seemed like a genuine and nice person. Ill bet all these guys are. It's a rare thing these days for great musicians.
this song & video is the best thing i've seen all day. i almost wanted to give up on the human race but this concert was filled with so much compassion & love
Best concert of my life. It was such an awesome experience and the fans had amazing energy...me and my boy who went (thought we would just stay up all night wandering NYC until we realized the city does in fact sleep on Sunday nights)...some random kids we met from Boston who were at the show let us crash in their hotel room. Getting my trigger finger ready for w.e. they roll out for dispatch 2011!
every time i watch this video my heart pounds. i don't even know...but this song really moves me. i miss dispatch =[ though i do love state radio and braddigan, i wish they never broke up
listens to the lyrics, Chadwick Stokes doesn't write the craziest instrumentals, but his lyrics are so incredibly original and meaningful that i really dont care about the number of chords he uses in a song
Ok, so songs get boring after you listen to then like 100 times in a row.. BUT. This one doesn't!! It has a fantastic meaning to it, the band are great, and the song is absolutely amazing...
i STILL get chills and teary eyed when i watch this. i remember i was basically bawling when this was happening. just snagged my tickets for the boston show and i am so excited to see them again!

Probably my 1000th time listening to this
July 2023 I’m still coming back for this video!
January 2025🙏
no doubt greatest band ever.... i was at this concert, and just watching this video gives me the chills. DISPATCH WILL LIVE ON FOREVER!!!!

This is hands down my favorite song of all time.
First night front row 16 years ago with my daughter. At 77, still the best concert ever attended!!
I've never seen a song singlehandedly fill everyone in the room with love. It's such a great tribute.
This is one of the greatest live performances of any band all time !
We were at the 2nd night at MSG. At 75, I can say it's the GOAT!
what a god damn performance. miss u pete, not the same without you man. LONG LIVE w/ LOVE, CHADWICK STOKES, DISPATCH & STATE RADIO
i dont really care how long it will take for change to happen but at least these people are trying to help. most of the people in the world dont care. im from zimbabwe so this is very meaningful to me. thi song is amazing... thankyou dispatch
im a grown man and knowing the story behind this band and the song "Elias" and watching this video almost had me crying hysterically.
Anyone else get stuck in traffic in Connecticut after the last show? We met a bunch of other Dispatch fans at 2AM on the highway in traffic. I was the one playing Camilo on my friends car. Just wanted to say hi. That night was one of the best nights of my life.
Almost ten years later, still get goosebumps!
Such a great band. I feel like I've been sheltered for just now hearing about them 5+ years after they broke up.
I have never been so obbessed with anything the way I was with this concert...i ended up going all three nights. Still months later I get goose bumps watching this.
Always get the strongest feelings when I watch this version. A beautiful, powerful performance.
Hold my hand just one more time.
the whole joint was singing
that was a truly moving performance
I find myself listening to this song at least if not more then twice a day. It is absolutely magical.
Some bands touch something higher, ThankYou Dispatch. My all time favorite band. ❤
After missing this for the same reason, I vowed to travel any distance for another Dispatch concert.
I'm just getting into this band and I seem to love them more and more. They're pretty awesome. My carpool has got me listening to this flying horses song over and over again and it's kinda starting to grow on me.

If I remember correctly, the opening lyrics in Swahili (?) are a traditional greeting in Kenya that loosely translates to:
"Are you strong?"
"I am strong."
"I am strong if you are strong."

State Radio is bad ass. Us Against the Crown is one of the best albums I've listened to in quite a while.
