Lol shows you that you know nothing ....the first one needs a chambered mid resonator to clean up the note the second one needs a mid mounted straight through resonator or a chambered one the size will dictate slight changes in tone as well as how baffled the resonator is.
Pipe instead of a muffler actually loses horsepower and can cause a hole in torque because mufflers are put at sections of exhaust where 'waves' of fumes need decompression. It's much better to use straight-through muffler of the same capacity of a stock muffler. Cheaper but suboptimal solution is to add a bypass pipe about 75% diameter of the standard going around the muffler.
Just because it's louder, doesn't mean it's better. Straight pipe just sounds like one big ass exhaust leak but at the tailpipe. A nice muffler will change the whole character

definitely better, but you may want to consider a good resonator in addition to that muffler. it'll help get rid of excess raspiness.
