It only takes one shot from the lightbow gun's wyvern wirebug skill to mount a monster no matter the size as long as it is not the quest target. Just for those of you who like riding monsters.

@Okay M8 It's technically the "death/faint" after you hit Zero on your health. You'll be carted to the spawn of the map back at camp. Hence carting. You get 3 tries only- then Quest Failed.

The game also dosent tell you you can get more room decor from the lottery, or that if you kill enough of a monster you unlock the ability to buy a scroll of it for your room from the argosy.

Correcting the mounting advice: don't ram the non target into the target, use the non target moves to deal big damage.
No they are actually right you attack until your meter is full and then ram the target monster to run it into walls you deal almost 400 more damage with this start then just beating them up with another monster
@@mr_potato_aym191 why not just beat up the other monster to get it's materials and then ram into it and smash it into the walls
When capturing, you can also do it in reverse. Throw tranq bombs, then set a trap
Seems a bit counter intuitive if the monster is being extra feisty and takes too long to lure to the trap
This is a really amazing game.
