in my experience the cohoot nest maxes out after 5 hunts, so you can sync it with your meowcenaries, making it easier to remember

I was concerned about sunbreak, but I actually kinda like having to play through all the monster again. Feels cool to see master rank sets and the fights are significantly harder from what I've played so far. Everything slapssss

For the white owl, there is a easier way to reach it.
Behind the outpost (where the admiral is), there's a stairs, leading you to near the first wooden platform (next to the tracks of the train)
Thank you for this! I was not prepared for the changes coming in Sunbreak - I was honestly expecting (and completely content with) some more monsters with Master Rank, and a new hub. This video was very helpful.
One cool thing that might be obvious to some but I didn't see people talking about (figured it out by accident) is that you can switch scrolls by using the D-Pad menu. So you can just leave the swap scroll icon selected and just press up or down on the dpad mid hunt to swap with one button press.
I'm still testing it to see if it feels more natural than the regular method.

I would love more sunbreak gunlance content. Gear and silkbind reccomendations for the different styles, different builds to specialize in things like part breaking and how to get the most stuns out of the weapon.

Yo, about the Cohoot Poogie replacement. You were right. I've gotten three Rathian mantles today from shiny drops in four hunts lmao
There is another Exploding Entrance zone in the Citadel. Zone 2, when you go down the hill to the tunnel under the castle.
Cahoot nests are actually every 5 hunts. Which make em synerfies perfectly with meowcenaries.
For the jungle secret area, I saw the island first, and then spent a solid half hour looking for the method to find the way onto it.

Go to the cohoot nest every 5. Or check it every time your pets return. It will be exactly full. that's the best indicator when they return from gathering go check the 2 nests. It even has a different look when its full

On the citadel you can find a tunnel or pit that leads to a tower and partway up the tower there is a hole that can climbed into for a secret room
If your crashing on loading game / start up and you have mods it's probably that. I have UI scaler and had to delete it, then it Worked

I recently bought MH for Steam and I've been having a blast. I should've given it a chance a long time ago.
Bought a switch lite just for monster hunter but with rise I wanted the oled. Just bought it and now I can finally get into Rise on my monitor.
There's a second cohoot nest on top of the big structure in the middle of Elgado (I'm pretty sure it's in the middle anyway, I'm not super well acquainted with the new maps at all yet)
I did not realize this was actually the Poogie replacement and was confused as to why there were two at first lol
Check the quests for resetting pet skills - you get 3 pets to memory 8 to complete the quest, and the reward basically pick and choose 100% of your pet skills forever for free. There are also quests to change out palico support skills, you can change everything except the first and last one - this made is so much easier to have perfect pets for my hunts
The last one is legit everyone should do. Take your time in farming monsters and materials in Sunbreak. I am doing exactly this so that I can be fully prepared for the next challenging Master Rank

The barrel bombs don't have to be mega. I just tossed the small ones and it worked.
So are rampage weapons just done with. Cause that would be kind of a let down.
I think this video is a good place to ask but. Does anyone know how to change the key bind for the switch skill swap? The weird 3 finger combination for mouse and keyboard I can’t get the hang of. I tried looking for videos but can’t find anything since keybind videos are months old.

Such a great update! Bute has anyone else had a very Bad bug, where your palico changed their abilities??? This happened to my starter palico as I used the New ability "Lostrommel" (I dont know the english Word,its the one where you randomly use a skill). And now the abilities are completely different! 😵 I reported it to capcom, but haven't heard of them yet. Hope that will be fixed in any way. 😕

I guess I didn't catch this with Rise... you're saying if you keep doing quests etc while you are MR capped, when you complete the next Urgent Quest it will retroactively reward the xp you got while capped? I always figured it was important to clear the Urgent Quest asap so you could keep contributing towards your MR (or in my case HR).
Yes and no; in base Rise, at least, your HR is locked during the initial ranks, until you finish the main quest lines. I think HR 8 is the last. If you hit a cap before this point, you will NOT accumulate/bank more ranks. After this point, however, your HR will be capped at a few different stages - I believe the first is HR 20; when you reach these stages, you can keep doing quests, and they'll count towards your total HR once you clear the quest to reach the next cap (or completely uncap, in the case of HR 100).
Don't quote me on this - I might be wrong, but this is how I THINK it works.
@@eivind261093 Yes I can confirm this. I remember when I was HR20. I played other hunts without touching Urgent Quest for quite long because I want to wait for my friend to catch up. Then we hit the Urgent Quest together to find my HR suddenly went far above my friend, like 28 or something. So I believe this is the case, the Rank progress is not wasted, it was just not visible, but as soon as you unlock the Rank cap, it overloads.

I can’t find anyone else talking about it but does anyone know what the deal is with the rampage weapons sharpness types, they seem to have been changed, type IV has been the go to previously, it removes a bit of raw but adds white sharpness but now type I also has a decent chunk of white sharpness but also higher raw, is type I just the flat out best one now? I don’t know why I’d use type IV any more
Doesn't really matter anymore, since rampage weapons don't go into Master Rank.
That's also probably why you don't see any talk about it.

Can you play without the base game? Or just like in the MhW, you cant play icebourne without the mhw game itself

The bombable areas only need Large Barrel Bombs, not Mega.
I miss poogie but owls are my favorite animals so I´m not even a bit mad to have a cute little baby owl to pet instead

They're rampage skills in the form of a unique decoration, so you can just choose which one you would like

last i checked, those scraps are all i needed to craft them (i recall having *plenty* of Lazurite jewels).

Do you really bank MR before you uncap it? Unless I'm mistaken, you didn't bank it in base Rise, did you?
you didnt before HR 8 but every cap after that u did bank afaik
I have been doing Sunbreak on PC, where I was still at the HR40 breakpoint quest and when I did the quest, it bumped me to HR50 quest upon completion and then when I did the HR50 quest, it jumped me to the 60s. So you do bank rank.
did all MR 1-5 quests just to end at MR6 without any banked EXP. Such a let down. but i just needed to do 2 final bosses for MR10. maybe an exp boost instead of straight banked.

@@JimJamTheAdmin will be up to 100. after clearing the final boss you need to reach MR 10, 20, 30, 50. Maybe 70 afterwards bc i still need to hit MR50
you dont need to waste MBB on those secret areas. Small barrel bombs work just fine.
Do you main Dual Blades? I'm not sure but it feels like the demon gauge takes longer to fill after the update.

There is a decoration for bow charge plus, i saw it in a review. But sadly i have no idea when it will be unlocked. As a bow main i'm very interested in this too.. didn't want to play the entire expansion with the mighty bow feather ^^
@@Flo_1209 I'd be a little sad if it's super endgame but I'm honestly just relieved to hear that. From what I hear the big endgame is hard core, and I don't wanna be multiple hundreds of points of defense lower than everyone else for that haha

As someone who lothes the rampages and never wants to play them again, I want to to know what is my incentive to play them? Do you get anything that make them worth it? or are we basically phasing them out completely? Same for Apex's, why should I ever fight them again?
there are no rampages in sunbreak, same with apex’s i believe

Is Master rank cap unlocked after beating final boss? I mean, like in Rise vanilla, is it worth doing every quest before final boss? Or should we rush the final boss to unlock the hunting rank cap, then doing all quests to upgrade our MR?
EDIT: Got an answer from the Discord Gathering Hub. Rushing Final boss then doing every quest is better; because like in Rise, rank points are not accumulated.
I second this question. Did you bank rank in base Rise? Because I didn't think I got any extra when I unlocked the cap.
You get all the xp after the cap so it's preference.

Why they are not acumulated? Every time I unlocked cap I immediately got some levels, so I think they cumulate even when you are at cap.
