Always disconnect the negative instead. Those universal battery terminals are an open circuit waiting to happen.

Negative is what I would normally take off when working with electronics. but we don’t want any active voltage possibly going to our fuses. But if I’m incorrect you can elaborate more I’m always willing to learn something new. Thanks for watching!
