Thanks for uploading, I've been looking at building two budget PC's with this exact spec for my nephews, wanted to be sure it could play 1080p at decent FPS, solid entry level gaming PC.
@@Lacter12 Then it's DEFINITELY an entry level PC. Since even older GPU's such as 2060, 2070 and 2080 cost the same or more than a 3060. You can get a the prices lower by going with a RX 6600 and a Ryzen 5 3600. I personally wouldn't cause the price difference is maybe around 80 euros in total. But i can absolutely understand some people going for it and actively support it even.

I have my PC with these components. I bought it at the beginning of 2023 and it is a beast! I can play everything at 1080 60fps. I recommend it 100% if you want to play competitive Fortnite for example, or games that require more resources, since it runs them in perfect conditions without problems. 10/10.

Nearly all our shit is the same and i have done a little overclock to my RTX 3060. our CPU and GPU is the same but only ram is not, yet even with some overclock you get the amount of FPS I will never get. I have 8 gigs of ram, does it really matter alot?
Yes you can notice in Eldin ring and days gone the CPU isn't reaching at least 50% , Moreover, in FPS Games works fine but in story and open world games it does a bit of a bottleneck with the CPU

how come ur i5 10400f isnt bottlenecking like mine. I have the same specs but when i play like watch dogs 2 on high settings my utilization is at 100% or when i play fortnite i cant even achieve over 144 fps without stutters and dips.

Is there a specific reason why people are testing these cards in 1080p low settings? like we would buy a rtx card to play with the worst graphics possible?
I tested it in low settings only with eSports games, if you don't know high fps = low input lag giving you a more responsive game even if you have a 60hz monitor its an advantage, AAA games are tested with ultra settings

Most people are playing for fun, and I don't think it would be fun when their eyes bleed in 1080p low settings in a 2k monitor. I wonder if the Nvida Geforce 3060 is a good video card to play games with in the future. On still reasonable mid/high settings with at least 60 fps. Like GTA 6 and all the other new upcoming games from Call Of Duty and many other games....
considering the 1060 still holds up pretty well years later, id say presuming the 3060 will hold up for a good few years isnt too far fetched, though looking at nvidias price to performance ratio these days its kind of hard to convince yourself otherwise

@@farel8162 I'd go with the 10400f but on a motherboard that still supports 12th gen if you plan to upgrade again at some point. You get 50% more cores and slightly worse single core performance, you'll be glad for the extra cores on modern games.

@@vertigocs7345 Man, this CPU supports higher RAM. Its memory controller is locked at 2666 because of the Intel's marketing. They want people to buy the newest products. I run i5-10400f with 3200 RAM and everything is fine, the CPU supports it and is faster thanks to it.

So I have a question, if I buy a pavilion prebuilt with a 3060 and an i5 for 650$ but I have to upgrade it right away is it worth it
If you buy it try and get an i7 10th Gen to pair with it and it will perform really well

It is good, if you can not spend more for a better cpu stick with the i5 10th gen. Overall its a decent build

with 12 gigs of vram, i would bet it would last at least 3-4 years. the 3060 is such a good gpu, especially for future proofing.
You will play everything on high settings years into the future as long as its 1080p.
