- Have you ever considered improving a 1911? One might wonder why you would want to improve an already flawless design. I thought this myself, but this desert eagle 1911 has proven incredible when put side by side to a Mil spec 1911!
I hope you can check this pistol out be it at the range or at the expense of your bank account!
Thanks for watching and have a great day!
I own 1911's made by Colt, Springfield Armory, Sig, Smith & Wesson, Dan Wesson, Remington, Taurus, Kimber, Ruger, Rock Island and Magnum Research. The ONLY 1911 I own that I think is measurably "better made" in terms of accuracy and machining quality would be the Dan Wesson Specialist. The M.R. 1911C is a super pistol, especially at this price point.
I would agree as I have a Dan Wesson Discretion 45acp. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
Have this exact pistol. It's absolutely phenomenal! I have the Bul Armory government 1911 in 9mm also. Both have maybe the smoothest slide to frame I've ever felt. Quality is superb for the price no doubt. Thanks for the look!
First thing I said about it the day I bought it. I went in there to buy something way more expensive but it had me at rack lol. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
I have the Desert Eagle 1911C (Commander) engraved on the slide. The quality of the machine work, fitment make for a shooting experience of second to none. The Magnum Research 1911 is without pier in the mid tier price range. I have had several friends buy the MR1911 after shooting mine and the only thing we were disappointed with are our Kimber's.
I was the only one lucky enough to find one with Desert Eagle 1911C on the slide.
We love ours as well. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
So I’ve had it for a week. Put about 150 rounds through it so far. The first shot went squarely into the bullseye at 10 yards. I can regularly knock down all the plates at 20 yards on command with it. I am destroying the center of the target. The trigger feels like 3.5 to 4 lbs. with a super crisp break. It handles like a Ferrari with the G-10 grips front and back strap checkering. No issues so far. Love it. I like my other 1911, but this is the best shooting pistol I own.
I thought I would not like the blacked out sights, but I’m shooting it very well. Love it. Mine came with two mags and a knife. I have a ton of Chip McCormick’s and they work well in my experience. Magnum Research/IMI hit it out with this one. Shoots like butter.
Glad to hear it’s performing well!! The sights can be a nuisance if you have a preference, but if it isn’t broke no need to fix it. Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you haven’t already
Bought mine off someone for $400 2 years ago. Best shooting gun I have and that includes ones I've had barrel and trigger work done to. By far the best bang for your buck in the 1911 market!
No question I believe that very underrated. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
Just picked up mine today, can't wait to get it to the range. Thanks for sharing.
Yes sir you won’t be disappointed. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I bought mine a month before my dad passed (he helped me get it) in september of 2020. I love it to death such a smooth shooting and accurate pistol I got the blued version not the stainless. Only con I had with it was the sights not being night sights but I quickly changed them out for some tru glo tritium and never looked back.
Bul Armory makes some awesome pistols. I prefer the blued as well. We have a blued video up as well. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I agree, a very well made 1911.
One of the best out there! Please subscribe if you haven’t already
Bul Armory has been part of my life for a couple of decades. The first gun of there's that I tried out was an M5 Commander, which amazed me at the time. Today's 1911 iterations are much better!
We love them never have had a problem. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I have been extolling the virtues of this firearm to anyone who would listen for five years. It was the first of my manufactured-by-BUL purchases and mine has been a range and competition pistol. I stopped logging the rounds at 15K, thinking it was no longer important. I have nine other 1911s, some more than double the price, and none of them are noticeably more accurate. I can't remember how many mags came with it, but I have at least fifty .45 cal mags so not an issue.
They have been nothing but reliable for us, we did have a couple faults out of the 3” but other than that smooth sailing across all makes! Please check us out on rumble if you haven’t already and have a great day!
This helped me tons. I have a commander on hold and was looking at a colt commander. For he money I’ll go with h magnum research
Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you haven’t already. Let us know how you like it!
I have a blued 10mm one of these. It is extremely smooth has an excellent trigger and operates very reliably. I also have ruger, kimber and rock island 1911 but the bul armory is my favorite
Absolutely they are 100% the most underappreciated and underrated 1911 on the market. Thanks for watching in for comment and please be sure to subscribe if you have not already.
I just brought this Pistol Desert Eagle 1911G, Today, Beautiful Pistol!!!!
Yes sir and smooth as silk. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I missed this video when it first came out but. Just wanted to give my two cents, I bought the 3" lightweight version of this in 45cal. 25oz, bull barrel 7+1. I own 1911s from colt, Springfield ronin, emissary, ect and this bul blows them all away. Smoother than all of them. put all wilson combat bullet proof parts in it, rosewood grips, and sent it out to be two toned. It's my favorite carry gun hands down.
It’s a very underestimated firearm very smooth and accurate as you mentioned
just ordered mine yesterday. it was so much fun trying to find a place that wasn’t out of stock lol. the one i ordered has the desert eagle name running across the slide also. i can’t wait to hit the range with it once i get it in 😊
Let us know how it shoots for you! Glad you were able to finally get one, please check us out on rumble

I use Wilson Combat magazines. I got 2 factory mags with my gun and they are not that great so will use them for spares. This is my first full length guide rod 1911 and I have no issues with it. I know some people do not care for it and none of my other 1911's have one. It is a great shooter and worth every penny!! I am going to get another one in 10mm next.
Yeah WC are the best. We like the pistol a lot. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I have the 5” stainless and it came with two mags, 2021 vintage. Have the blued 3” also both in 45 acp. Both outshoot my 4.25 9 mm 1911 and 45 acp Springfield range officer target. Great value for the price.I installed a fiber optic front sight, not sure accuracy was improved.
They are almost pistols. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
The mags are excellent if they are mecgar mine work with every 1911 I own several in different cal. never a hiccup! I have bul 1911 who makes the desert eagle 1911 and in 9mm no problems no issues with the same mags on 9mm either mec gars are great and very well priced have them for several guns.I agree the front sight needs a orange or white night sight.
Never had issues with them either. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
These guns from magnum research are the hidden gems of the 1911 world. Your getting a series 70 ultra clean trigger, with a bobbed hammer and extended beaver tail. G10 grips, decent adjustable sights, and front and back checkering for under $1000. Thats insane in the 1911 world. A similar gun from smith and wesson or springfield would run you $1400 to $2000 easy and those arent even considered high end 1911's. Insane value from magnum research i have the 1911 U in .45
We have consistently said that this 1911 and all by MR are underestimated gems. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
You’re wrong. You can find a comparable S&W E-series 1911 for the same price or lower. The warranty alone makes the S&W better. Bul has a 1 year warranty lol
@@teelowteelow356 Go look again, their comparable model in a 3 inch 45cal. Which is what I own. Costs $1353 msrp. So you might be able to find it for $1100 or so retail. I payed like $875 plus tax for mine. Warranty might be better but you're gonna pay more upfront. It's basically the same gun but the frame on the smith is scandium instead of aluminum.
@@mkII. where are you getting a three inch model? Nobody ever said anything about a 3inch 1911, the topic of this video is the government size 1911 in the video. The Bul in this vid is not three inches. I’m taking about the steel frame .45 S&W 1911, model: 108482. I have no clue what you are trying to say lmao
@@teelowteelow356 well you obviously didn't read my post originally then so why are you even commenting I can't help it if you're stupid lol. If you go back and read you can clearly see at the end of my post I say I own the 1911 U in 45. The u stands for undercover which is the 3 inch version.
I traded My Springfield Garrison for a Bul Armory 1911 with bull barrel. The trigger feels awesome. Racking the slide is effortless! I can't wait to try it tomorrow after work. I hope it's good. It came with two mags. Great video. This is hopefully going to be a pocket rocket.
Love the MR. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
@@GSquaredTactical Mine isn't good. 45 plus malfunctions in 1100 rounds. It's back at BUL, so we'll see how it goes.
Was that over the entire 1100 or just in the beginning.
@@J1Z06lmao! Should have bought a more reputable brand
@@teelowteelow356 Hindsight is 20/20 lol
Just bought the compact version, undercover model. It’s a jamomatic because of the magazines. The magazines rattle around and don’t fit well. I happened to have 2 spare Colt mags. They fit snug and work well.
I heard that about the 3” and we was very fortunate to only have a few hiccups with factory mags but I never used factory 1911 mags anyway as I only use WC so it’s been good for us. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts. Please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
Well made brother
Yes sir for sure. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I have it.
I love it!
Yes sir likely the most underrated and under appreciated 1911 on the market. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
Good info. Thank you. I looked at this same exact 1911 at my local gun shop yesterday and even took a photo of it with the price tag so I could research it. It has a price tag of $899.99 at the shop. What magazines would you recommend?
Always Wilson Combat if there’s a better mag I haven’t found it I have a safe full off then. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
Wilson combat. They fixed my kimber ghost. Flawless feeding
Wilson Combat
hell yeah..
Yeah
Just put on a set of Kensight novak sights to make it perfect. No big deal. a great improvement.
Sweet!! Yes this is a sweet firearm. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I just brought that one home, mine came with two mec-car mags.
Heck yeah! Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you haven’t already
I compared the MR to the SA Garrison, the MR is hands down the winner!
Yes sir
Great content
Stainless comes with one mag
Non-SST comes with two mags.
The MR1911GSS is on my radar now!!!
I’d recommend the Wilson Combat mags anyway.
I use nothing but WC mags. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I've never used WC mags, but I swear by Chip Mccormick mags!
@@jimtheedcguy4313
Wilson Combat has different sizes/styles but 47D is for the 5”government model has the polymer follower which eliminates feeding issues.
I’ve heard a lot of people swear by them but I’ve never checked them out
I have a new in the box blued Desert Eagle, bold slide engraved, paid $600, new old stock 4 years ago, Commander size, I've never shot, also have a SR1911 Ruger that I carry in the vehicle,
The DE is hands down a better made gun, better fit and finish than the ruger and I'm a ruger fan, own several other types of rugers, paid over $850 out the down new 5 years ago, the slide groves are different on the SR1911 also, I tried polishing the flat sides of the slide and a lot of imperfections, pits etc showed up also, I was just all around disappointed in ruger for that price range at the time, the advertised quality and model of the gun.
I could have bought several others including Taurus and Springfields (stainless) for the $400-600 range at the time.
Yeah the only Ruger 1911 I ever had rusted like my LCP ll did. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already

most folk have their own mags.. but yep.
Yeah the ones that came with are not my favorite, I love those kimber mags! Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you haven’t already
I heard the later models don't have "Desert Eagle" written on the slide.
I believe that is correct
The Allen is in there to adjust trigger pull.
The screw is there to prevent over travel. Basically it stops the trigger from moving farther back in the track once the sear is tripped. It doesn’t affect trigger pull weight. Thanks for watching, Mike! My apologies I didn’t address that in the video
Check for cancer bro on your throat while you are talking just be safe new sub thanks for all your hard work.
What the heck are you talking about? Lol
This is the gun that I want, what I’ve been looking for and can never find in stock. Any suggestions on where to find it?

The Colt Competition at the same price point has a fiber optic front sight.
As hard as it may be to believe I’ve never had a Colt 1911 😢
Mine came with 2 magazines.
I have 10 Wilson combat magazines and 10 Kimber magazines.
I have heard mixed reports of mag numbers that have come with this model
👍👍

Is this the newest model of these?
Not sure if there is a newer model. This one was purchased new in 2021. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t
Hell no it was the best when it had Desert Eagle engraved on the side of it. It set it apart from the already CROWDED 1911 Market. They should go back to it Desert Eagle 1911
I agree
My triggers were always around a little over 2lbs

@@GSquaredTacticalcheck it out the mr DE1911G10 and gotcha
@busykid2475 Ty sir
You should have bought directly the Bul armory 1911 rather than the Magnum Research version made for them by Bul in Tel Aviv . Buls own comes with 2 Mec-Gar made mags rather than the just one unbranded mag supplied by Magnum & some of their 9mm 1911's come with 10 RD mags instead of the standard 8 RD 9mm mags
Did not know this information but thank you for it! Please subscribe if you haven’t already!
favorite moment "mags are crap ,should come with 2"
😂😂🤣
I have a hard time seeing black on black sights
Heck yeah me too
It's weird that you only got one magazine. Mine came with two magazines, though the gun is in black. Maybe stainless gets only one?
Yeah I’m not the wildest fan of only getting one magazine but it is what it is! Thanks for watching, idk if it’s just the stainless version or what the issue is
@@GSquaredTactical btw, just subbed to your channel. Im looking forward for more content, especially 1911 related content. Im a huge fan of 1911 gs in 45s of course. While im at it, id love to make a suggestion. Maybe you could do a detailed disassmbly of this specific 1911. I have yet to see on here. Is it ammo picky?
It can be yes. It likes a little hotter higher end ammo at least it did for the first couple hundred. I did get much better and I’m sure it will get better with time
@@GSquaredTactical is Federal 230 grain acceptable?
I haven’t personally put that through it. At first we was putting range ammo through it such as White Box Winchester, Magtech, Blazer Brass etc. It wasn’t a huge amount but we did have a few ftf, and failure to go back into battery fully with all the above. I ran about 100 rounds of Federal HST 230 +p and it was flawless and has been since. So if that’s the federal you are talking about I’d say sure
Please Please stop telling people about these . I love mine AND i DON'T WONT THE PRICE TO SKYROCKET
Haha well I hope they don’t because of popularity but I think you may be on to something. I think the 365 is a prime example of that but I hope these don’t go up in price

Ok
Everyone who claims the mag that comes with their gun is not of good quality also complains that they only get one. I don’t get it. Nice gun.

@@GSquaredTacticalFor the price we pay a minimum of 3 should be included. They make good range mags and the Wilson Combats of course for carry. But I just think the only company that needs to make 1911 mags is WC and maybe Cobra.
Yeah for sure. I like Mec gar mags but even their 1911 mags seem subpar
they need a rail for a laser

What does age have to do with anything? Also I don’t know how much 5.50.99 is lol

I love me Tisas 10mm nothing wrong with them at all. Thanks for watching
@@GSquaredTacticalI think he meant $550.99
Yeah
Does it have mim parts?
I do not know for sure. I’m sure there are a few parts in it that are MIM. THAT IS SOMETHING THAT HAS NEVER REALLY MATTERED TO ME AS I HAVE FIREARMS WITH 10 OR 12,000 ROUNDS THROUGH THEM THAT HAVE MIM PARTS WITHOUT A SINGLE FAILURE AND HONESTLY UNLESS YOU WANT TO SPEND A FORTUNE I WOULDN’T HESITATE TO SAY that 80% or more of the firearms purchased on a daily basis has MIM parts in them. That’s something that just really has never mattered much to me and I think it’s just a trend. Someone mentioned it one day and made it a thing to stay away from not understanding that they have been putting injected metal into firearms before I was born.
