Looks like it’s missing to accommodate the not original muffler. Original panel has a dimple for the exhaust and affixed to bottom of chrome bumper. I had a 1970 914-6 just like this one in the early 90’s. Amazing car. Wish I still had it. Great video!
@@paulauksztulewicz4803 No, the original panel, called a "snow plow" didn't have a dimple. It had a hole cut through the panel for the tailpipe to exit through. Very rare these days and terribly expensive. I have a restored one and turned down $3500 for it last spring.
@@pg9144 I see there are two types on back of 914’s. Hole and “dimple” indented to fit over pipe. Maybe my 1970 914-6 I owned had a 914-4 “snow plow” on it? Regardless, even 25 years ago they were hard to find. I got mine for $25 at the VW Porsche swap meet in Pomona, California.
You’re referring to GT flares on the 914-6 GT, very few came with those from factory. This car is a factory 914-6. The “-6” is indication of six cylinders (instead of 4 on standard 914) and had no relation to the body

That's not a 914-6..no fender flares it just a 914
