    After about 300km and a few months of testing I wanted to share my first opinions on this pair of shifters from Sensah. You can find these shifters on the famous AliExpress website (The Amazon of China) I was skeptical but pleasantly surprised on what you can find on AliExpress.
    I would think twice before always going for Shimano and of course for certain more affordable parts I prefer the well trusted Shimano but Sensah are definitely worth trying if you haven't tried them.
    Stay subscribed for further updates on this pair of shifters. I also heard that you can put these with a 10 speed but it's not built for this it's a 2x9 speed.

    I'm the same. I can't stand flat bar bikes. Can't seem to do any distance with them. Great post.✌️

    Idk if theres a 10spd variant of the ignite but mine was strange. When I'm in the heaviest gear, i can swing the lever in until i hear a single click and the derailleur moves to a lighter gear so that technically means it can support 10spd. So I bought a 10spd cassete and tested it. And suprisingly it works *kinda

      I thought that might be the case! Thanks for testing!

    Which cables do they come with? brake and gears?

      If I remember correctly I think it came with both pre installed, if not both then definitely it came with the gear cable.

    I used Sensah Ignite Shifters with Shimano Sora front und rear derailleur and wasn't too happy with the performanse. No matter what I tried, I ciuld never make the front mech to work perfectly with the shifters. It was always rubbing the cage of front deraileur on last 2 speeds and when I set it up not to rub on last 2 speeds, then it was rubbing on first two speeds. It is doable to make it work but if you seek perfection from shifting like I do, you'd better use Shimano with Shimano components. That is why I swappped the shifters for Sora and now it works flawlessly. I order the Ignite deeaileurs and I plan to use it for building anothet bike with Sensah shifters
    Other than that I am also impressed with Sensah. Build quality, performanse of rd etc. I use Sram on my other bikes and it is hard to tell if Sram is actually any better than Sram but is of course much more expensive.

      Yes I have found this dilemma. But one work around I found is you make the 3rd click the adjustment you need to push the front mech further out, then it rubs far less. But is it a big job to get the shifting to work flawlessly. But for the price point you literally can't find better, even 2nd hand shifters aren't near this price point. They work well enough for my needs 😉

      Yeah, you got the point., 80 or 90% of normal causual riders won'/t even norice rhis small rubning in last two gears. I am pretty much obssesed with perfection and that is why I decided to swap for Shimano Sora shifters. Nevertheless, I am pretty much convinced that Sensah shifters will work absolutely perfect with Sensah deraileurs. I will build the bike for my wife with Sensah components so I will test it from the first hand.

      I'm having the same issue with my shifter. Ignite + Tiagra 4600 = rubbing on low or high. Have you built the other bike you mentioned using the Sensah FD? Any difference?

    • @hugosantana7253
      @hugosantana7253 Місяць тому

      After some research, I learned that the Claris R2000 and Sora R3000 FD have a different pull rate cable (1.4 vs 1.7), so the shifter pull more cable than the shifter needs to. It's the same as Tiagra 4700, GRX and 11s FD. So you'll need an FD that uses the old pull rate for it to work properly, such as the Sensah one.
      For my case, probably it's due the cage width. Funny that I've never had this issue with MTB FD. I used 11s FD with 9S chain for a long time with any issues at all. Maybe there are tighter tolerances in Road parts.

      Hi there, i’m quite new to cycling and looking to convert my flat bar to drop bar on a budget - i don’t quite understand what you mean by rubbinging? what specifically is rubbing? if you don’t mind me asking🙂

    Hi, can they go with 3 speeds in front?

    • @TheOneGoodRoad
      @TheOneGoodRoad  2 місяці тому +1

      There are three "clicks" so in theory it could work with three speed but I would just go for there 3x9 speed shifters

      @@TheOneGoodRoadThere are 4 positions. Two for shifting and two for trimming (it moves the derailleur slightly to stop chain rubbing). It will not work with 3 chainrings.
