I'll settle it the Xmax is far superior ....built much better quality ...rides smoother....way better gas mileage....plenty of storage.....easily goes 87 mph all day long .....just a smoother motor than Honda .....no comparrasin !!!!
My personal views: Both scooters Honda ADV350 & Yamaha Xmax300 are very close competitor with having each advantages. All the technical sharing for these two scooters is sufficient. By having a large displacement engine capacity of 300-400cc, it should be equipped with at least 15L fuel tank capacity. Of course, with a large engine capacity, long-distance riding will be more fun. Therefore, the need for a tank with a larger capacity is an advantage.
I hope i can buy one of these scooter bikes i preferred the Honda ADv 350 because the design is very nice, excellent suspension, fuel economy and high value after market sales.
If honda would sell the adv 350 in the states, that is what I would have bought. But they don't think we would buy them. Luckily, yamaha sells the xmax in the states and my local yamaha dealer got three of them in 2023. Expensive, at $8,000 out the door with license and tax. Nice bike, keeps up with any traffic.
It is 1000 bucks more than in Europe. Anyway, the ADV has not so good rear shock absorbers, and worst wind protection than XMax. I was in between ADV 350 and Forza 350, and if I would go for a scooter, that would be the Forza, even if it looks more conventional, but it has better seat, foot rests, and wind protection, and better electric windscreen, and it is cheaper. The ADV wouldn't manage anything more than a dirt road. ADV is just a marketing logo, that is not an adventure bike. Even the X-ADV has issues with any offroad. So, don't get confused.
@@selfreliantpatriot1776The ADV 150/160 is a fun bike and it will go about 63mph, but that's as fast as it will ever go because of the set from factory speed limit. I had an adv 150 and I was fine at first but soon ended up having the throttle pegged wide open when ever on a highway and that was often not fast enough. I traded the adv 150 in for an xmax 300 after 1 year. The xmax can do any reasonable highway speed. Being a longer wheel base and larger tires it handles close to a real motorcycle. It is a bigger bike and a little more difficult to manage.
I was in between these two, and I ended up the adv350 due to its riding position, better suspension, plus the looks. The adv350 specifically has slightly better after sale price too..

You are basically telling me that upside forks are worse off than telescopic ones...ok, try to get that xmax of yours through hills and bumpy roads, I really hope your bike is still in warranty mate. Moreover, look up on forums for long time Xmax owners that converted to adv 350 to get a rough idea before blasting out your baseless opinion.
dude that honda looks really ugly .comparison with xmax2022 model is day night.i know its all about taste but come on the adv is ugly as hell.its like a box and at the side look is so facken weird lol.the 2023-24 xmax is worst than previous model but still is way better than adv350.i was waiting honda change a bit the look of 2024 model but nope.at the end of the day both dont worth the money that they costing.both bikes have terrible suspensions and please dont tell me that honda adv350 have good suspension because i test it and i can say even yamaha have better suspensions and overall is rolling better than the adv.

Adv is definitely better in terms of suspension, smoothness and comfort. I owned a xmax for 3 years. After buying the adv, the same roads felt so absorbed.
As a owner of 2023 versions of both- XMAX 300 (in Thailand) and ADV 350 (in the UK), if i had to get rid of one it would probably be the ADV. @KA-zy6rt 1 day ago Reason being if you don’t mind sharing? Reasons for this would be.....I prefer the looks of the Xmax, the riding position suits me better on the Xmax (ADV is more upright and the wide bars feel weird to me). Storage is better on the Xmax, the ADV has only one side pocket which is unlockable, Xmax has two with one being lockable. Underseat storage is similar but the ADV is slanted forwards so everything under the seat slips to the front in a pile. Power wise-they are very similar but the Xmax seems to deliver it smoother at low revs while maneuvering, the ADV is a bit more on/off with the power delivery. There is a bit more room on the Xmax, i am 5'9" and there is not as much room on the ADV when i put my heels on the floorboards and toes on the slanted footrest, it is not uncomfortable just not as much space as the Xmax. The ADV has some things i prefer over the Xmax.....The seat on the ADV is more comfortable, the ignition control rotary switch lights up for ease of use in the dark, Xmax doesn't. Fitting a rear carrier and top box is far cheaper and easier on the ADV. The battery is under the seat and easy to access, the Xmax needs bodywork removed for access. The ADV does not chirp away as soon as the key moves 1 meter away like the Xmax (i removed this highly annoying feature). The ADV is a very good scooter and may well grow on me, some of the things i mention may become less of a problem as i ride it more, i have only put 400 km on the ADV but have put 6000 km on the Xmax.
Glad to hear about the roominess of the Xmax cockpit...I'm 5' 9" as well. The battery placement is indeed odd, as well as the rear design not being very accommodating to a top box...definitely going to limit options. One thing that i don't like is the colour option here in Canada...Henry Ford Black. I guess I can ride my Forza300 one more year and see what colour we get next year, or perhaps paint it a nicer colour. Also...really looking forward to getting away from that silly Honda horn/turn indictor orientation. WTH, Honda?
@@dariomladenovski7047 Wind protection is something i do not think about, in Thailand on the Xmax i have a tiny sport screen. It's 30 plus celcius all the time and i'm in shorts and Tshirt. In the UK on the ADV i have also changed the original screen to a smaller sport screen as the scooter is just a fun sunshine toy, i go most places in my car. Of the two, i would say the standard wind protection is better on the Xmax due to its size compared to the tiny screen on the ADV. Adjusting the screen on Xmax is a 1 minute operation, with a screwdriver, the ADV is 5 seconds via two pull out hand levers.
@@dariomladenovski7047 The bars on the ADV look great but are as soft as butter, i put a riser kit on mine and chewed up the bars in the process. Same with any accessory bracket you attach to the bars, leaves gouges in the soft material.
@@1966johnnywayne The horn and indicator position are indeed rubbish on the ADV, the indicator switch is too small and you have to search for it, no issues with the Xmax. The back box kit for the Xmax means changing a lot more on the Xmax, the grab handles need to be replaced, and a carrier fitted which is not cheap. The ADV is simpler, the carrier plate attaches straight onto the original grab handles. Cheaper and easier on the ADV.
The ADV looks really nice, but what on earth is going on with the windscreen. It should be better integrated like the Forza, then I would definitely go for the ADV cuz suspension is much better but exactly same engine as the Forza. On the other hand I don't understand why the Honda doesn't give the new Forza digital instruments like the ADV or new Yamaha Xmax 🙄🤔
By far Xmax I paid $6299 out the door for this beast !!!! I'm 100% happy as can be....I added a windscreen spoiler and now there's no wind buffeting. This scooter is the best by a long shot.

the new optical headlights in xmax works better than the old model? In old model, the high bean simply don't exist... I really want to know if using the new model ("X" format) the high bean works as expected.
Yes you have to dim them they are so bright.....completely different from older models.....in fact they ate bright on dim and unlike the older models, the beam is wide showing all of the road ......they did it right for 2023.......I told dealer that I wanted them to adjust them for me before I left dealership and they adjusted them up a tiny bit
I know a few people who have sold larger scooters and bikes to downsize and get an Xmas 300 ..quick enough , great on juice , huge underseat storage and so comfortable you can go touring on them. ; )

This is a aples with pears comparison. The Xmax 300 should be compared with its counterpart, Forza 350. The ADV 350 plays in a "different league", or it is "from a different movie".
I am agree with you. I have a xmax 250 anyway.. But i often go to camp on rural roads or paths. That's why i think to get adv 350. As i found out SYM adx 300 will lounch in 2024. So i can not decide which one is better.

The Yamaha Xmax 300....I'm 6'3" 205 lbs and I have all kinds of leg room !!!!! It's the smoothest of all scooters and I've got it up to 87 with more to go AND it gets 75mpg going 70mph ......it's crazy for a 292cc motor, but the Blue Core is a different motor that is more efficient ......Google 2023 Xmax 300 ......you will see about the newly designed concept !!!!!

The extra screen of xmax and its bluetooth connectivity makes it easier choice for me as I travel a lot on unknown places to me on my weekend ride.

I am agree with you. I have a xmax 250 anyway.. But i often go to camp on rural roads or paths. That's why i think to get adv 350. As i found out SYM adx 300 will lounch in 2024. So i can not decide which one is better.

The Yamaha Xmax 300....I'm 6'3" 205 lbs and I have all kinds of leg room !!!!! It's the smoothest of all scooters and I've got it up to 87 with more to go AND it gets 75mpg going 70mph ......it's crazy for a 292cc motor, but the Blue Core is a different motor that is more efficient ......Google 2023 Xmax 300 ......you will see about the newly designed concept !!!!!
