Post-consumption lifestyles:
How will our consumption and our lifestyles have to change as we transition to a post-fossil society? Do we already have to do without now? What will we gain, what will this new quality of life look like? The sociologist Juliet Schor has long worked on issues of the economy, consumption and the American lifestyle. The focus of her work is environmental sustainability, responsible consumption and its impact on the economy and lifestyles. She is, among other things, the co-founder and chair of the "Center for a New American Dream".
