Gandhi started to actively participate and take lead in the freedom struggle from the year 1919-1920 when he took membership of Indian National Congress. Till 1914-15 he was in South Africa. From 1915-19 he organised peasants and workers Satyagraha against excessive land taxes and not working in freedom struggle. I did not elaborate this in the video because the video is not about biography of Gandhi but his concepts of Satyagraha and Sarvodaya.
