How to Make Primitive Fleshing Tools

We're making Primitive fleshing tools for cleaning and preparing Animal hides. These Scraping tools were used by Native American cultures and we're making ours from Deer Rib Bones. These Fleshing tools will be a great addition to our Primitive tool collection.

would it be possible to make these without the scouring rush, just using sandstone?

How can you dry and harden fresh deer bones quickly to be able to make knives and tools?

If I want to have tools quick, I cut the bone out and scrape it to clean it, and maybe dry it out in some shelter for a few days before working on it. But you could begin working with the bone right away for making tools as it is sufficiently hard, and it will dry out and fully harden soon after and become fit to fully use.

Where can i get sand stone? N the stone to sharpen it with?
