we flew KLM from LAM to AMS 2 months ago. Economy Premium.. we had an excellent experience. Above United Economy Premium and AirFrance Economy Premium. The 787-10 we flew made the biggest difference. Good video! we are subscribed!
Thanks for your kind comment! Good to hear you had a nice experience with KLM and their new Premium Comfort (Premium Economy) product. We also love it! And welcome to our UA-cam channel. :-)
@@SK-gs8vs we paid $1600 per person for a family of 6 for March/April dates. For summer these same seats are 2500+ depending on airline. Yes, I would pay $2500 for each ticket. Anything into the $3k, I would look into a good deal on business class. Next year we are planning a trip to London, Paris and Barcelona. Tickets are not coming down in price thus far.
Thanks for this. We’re flying this route and in PE in September. Looking forward to trying KLM after flying with Virgin and ANZ in their PE classes historically
I see they’re using the Collins Aerospace MiQ seats. It’s becoming a popular seat choice as AA, Delta, and United use MiQ seats for their own PE cabin.
Enjoyed the video. Flying LAX to Amsterdam in a week. Looking forward to the class of seat. Pre-ordered vegetarian meals so I hope there is no mix up. Were the headphones given out decent? If so I won’t bother bringing my own.
Hello! This is such an amazing video. Thank you for sharing it with us! I would like to ask how much is the legroom do you get in premium economy? Like can a 6 feet plus size person can easily in premium economy seats? we are travelling from Toronto to Amsterdam and this would be our first time travelling in premium economy with KLM. Also, i would like to know where do you plug in the headphones? like I don't see any such thing in the video. Thank you :)
Thanks for your question! And good to know you enjoy our videos! It’s a bit hard to really evaluate if the seat is comfortable for you as everyone has different preferences. The Premium Comfort seat width is 18.5 inch, seat pitch is 38 inch and recline is 8 inch. Our blogger on this trip is 6’4”, with a regular build.
Thanks for the question! No the lounge access is not included in the Premium Comfort ticket. You can purchase entrance at the lounge desk with cash or miles (entry may be restricted during peak times).
The song used in this video is amazing! It brings so many happy vibes to me, love it. However I can’t find the instrumental version used in this video. Could you help me out? 🙂 Thank you!
Thanks for the great video! I'm flying in the same seats (Row 15) in August. Was the recline restricted at all because of the bulkhead behind it? That is my only concern, otherwise the new Premium Comfort seats look terrific.
Thanks for the video! In your opinion, is it better to take the last row seat as you did or the first one? I think you'd have more space in the first row but I don't know if they let you keep the small bag in front of you
You’re welcome! For the front row seats it’s not allowed to store bags in from of you during taxiing, takeoff and landing. The legroom for the front row may be bigger, but you cannot put your feet under the seat in front of you, as there isn’t any. So, we would recommend the last row.
Mooie video!
@@InsideFlyerOfficial thanks for replying! I'll be traveling from New Delhi to Amsterdam so was worried if they had a foot rest for the front seats too.
This wasn't really so much a "review" as it was more of a commercial advertisement for KLM; cute video but you missed providing key information including check-in process, seat specifications, meal and drink options, cabin service quality, in flight entertainment options, etc. etc.
Thanks for your comment! The video is an extra next to our in-depth review article. You can check it here (in Dutch): insideflyer.nl/review-klm-boeing-787-10-dreamliner-premium-comfort-las-vegas-amsterdam/
Personally, I think it’s definitely worth paying extra for Premium Comfort. But how much, is depends by person of course. The amounts you mention seem on the high side to me. But when demand is high C will also be expensive.
We had a horrible experience with KLM this summer. We booked Premium comfort Calgary to Amsterdam but when we got to the airport the plane did not have this class of seat. We were downgraded to economy comfort, KLM won't give us back the money we paid for the Premium seats, in fact they say that economy comfort is "similar" so that's that. Disgusting service.
Thanks for sharing your experience! That’s too bad to hear. Premium Comfort and Economy Comfort are not similar at all. We recommend filing an official complaint with KLM Customer Service (online or call) to get some kind of compensation.
The trendy fashionable people have taken over airplane food. I fly First and Business most of the time.......and man I just wish they'd have a nice cold simple deli sandwich. I am looking to go to Premium Economy and equivalent now because I just dont care for the 'fancy' food. I'd rather save money, still have somewhat of a comfortable seat, eat fruit and cheese on the flight and go on more trips. I can eat delicious food every day when I'm not flying. Oh well. No more hot towel lol.

Do you think the Premium Comfort is worth an extra $1300 per person ($2600 a couple) for a 10 hour flight each way?

I just booked my seats in Premium Comfort LA to Amsterdam. Great insight, now I'm pleased with my seat choice!
Great to hear! ✈️
Thank you thank you so so much !!!!I wanted to ry this new class !!!
You're so welcome!
Great video! Really enjoyed it 😊

Used to travel this route every year on klm. Seeing this I gotta say I miss the 747 😢

Please check the description. The music is from Apple iMovie. (Summertime Rain by Little North Fork)

is there a website where i can see which flights have this specific premium economy?

Yes, it also has a footrest!

Is there an air vent above every seat?
As far as I can remember, there’s only a reading light. No individual air vent of any kind.
How come that KLM did not improve toilet comfort as we have to cross quarter of the plane to reach it!!!!
Good question! I believe all the toilets are the same.
so sorry that KLM has no "Royal class" anymore. That was their First Class. Meal here looked very much satndard. No champagne? Thnx
Thanks for your question. We experienced the meals as quite good quality. There’s no champagne in Premium Comfort, but you can get cava.
