  • Hey everyone, I've been using these S/M Fox Titan Pro D30 elbow guards for a few weeks. So here's an update video on the good and bad! They came recommended by Arnie and the community. Cheers Jono

Crash update: Slid over onto my right side due to flippery wet bitumin. The slide was about 15m (~50ft) long. The worked very well. They didn't slip however It gauged a spot on my inner elbow. It was quite deep and bruised.
I replaced the upper velcro with a stronger / coarser hook velceo. The strap secures much better.
The lower straps are starting to stretch out already -> May 2024 about 6 months of use.

I have the same pads, How did you replace the top Velcro? Did you sew on stronger Velcro on top of the existing Velcro?

Secret Sauce for hot or cold weather: Silk Thermal long underwear. Silk has a great quality of wicking heat and moisture away from hot spots. Seriously.

You just made me remember how cool it was riding the Sherman-S with street tire, i was thinking of putting back the street tire on the Sherman-S when i receive my Lynx which has the Kenda offroad

Hey mate, This video was with the Kenda! I put it back on to prepare for the Lynx :) to see if I could enjoy / get use to it. Really enjoying the K262, very surprised!

How are you liking them after a few months of use? I just purchased the knee guard version of the Titan Pro D30s and am tempted to snag the elbow guards at some point:).

Hey mate, i've added a pinned comment on the video with an update and crash report!
Do you prefer the Titan Knee Guards vs the Leatt dual axis?

@jonoeuc Good timing! I actually received them today and had a chance to ride on and offroad with them. I've actually been using some cheaper Scoyco motocross knee/shin guards prior to this, so I can't fairly compare them to the Leatts, unfortunately. After first putting them on, I was really impressed with the build quality and the comfort. The coverage was notably better as well. A little stiff compared to my Scoyco set, but obviously a huge bump up in protection. After riding on and off road for a bit, I was bummed to discover that the added bulk was awkward to get used to against the EUC. More concerning was the way they interacted with my Grizzla pad set really pushed the inner edge of the shin guards into my shin. They ended up being quite painful to do jumps in or hit a lot of rough trail sections in. On road they were notably better, but I still felt my Scoyco set were way more comfortable and far lower profile. I'm definitely bummed because I really wanted to love these! One benefit of trying these out is that they really confirmed knee braces just wouldn't work for me. I just can't get used to the added bulk.

Thanks Jon! Very helpful. Did you say your wrist guards are small size?

I heard that they have a tendency to slide forward the hand, is it true?

Slightly and more so when I first got them. Now I know how to fit them better. One of the tricks is to pull the forearm sleeve up towards your elbow before cinching down the velcro. Also rotate them down under the elbow slightly more than I thought. Hasn't bothered me since.

I haven't had any major spills yet myself, *knocks on wood*, but do you choose to not wear hip or chest protectors, or does that just depend on the ride for you?
I have hip and chest gear, but I realized they don't provide protection via sliding, since they don't have any plating. I'm curious how those will peform in a crash anyway, only providing impact protection.
    Cheers, safe riding!

Hi Nightshade, Ideally I'd want chest plating and shoulder guards. I was considering retro-fitting plate armor to my backpack straps. The Boblbee backpack is the priority since it's the best spine protection. It will outperform all integrated jacket and body armor spine protectors.
My hip protection is under the jeans - Leatt Impact Shorts 5.0 D30.
The Jeans are a single layer Armalith material - better than Kevlar. recommended after holding up perfectly in two slower-mid speed slides.
The ability to slide is paramount for road riding. Impact protection is better suited if you're riding trails and off-road?
Thanks, mate. You too! Cheers Jono
