I was 16 years old in a small Texas town. She was also 16. My parents forbade me from seeing her, she was Mexican you see and in the 1950's Texas it was Taboo to date out of race. Soon after our forced break up I joined the military and her family moved back to Mexico. 20 years later while on vacation in Mexico, I saw a beautiful Latina selling seashells on the beach as I approached her, my heart sunk and I almost fainted, it was Maria, the girl I once loved. She smiled and started to weep. As luck would have it, neither of us were married at the time. A year later we were married and we now have 6 children and 12 grandkids! This song reminds me of our love. True love is real under the stars.
I saw what might have been four years after we broke up. 😢 We got😮 together in our older years. We got back together. Got engaged and were driving home 4-22-23. A drunk driver hit us. Killed Bill.😢😢😢. God and Bill saved my life. Bill put my side of the car into a ditch as far as he could. This song resonates once again. I loved him then. Never stopped loving him. We got back together. Our first date after. He asked me to marry him. Nine months later he's gone again. This time for good.😢😢😢😢. Until we meet again, the true love of my life. DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE.
Everyone has that ONE person in our past that we wonder where they ended up at, it doesn't matter if it's 25 or 60yrs later we wonder . If only for brief moment in time we would love to know. Our first love, YOU can never forget ❤️
that's where this song takes me to every single time i hear it........ wish sometimes that the decision i made back then, never happened, but theres no way to know what might have been, sad, but good memories
I had 2 I wondered about over the years since JR/SR High. I'm in contact with both of them now. One is single and the other says "I'm never getting married unless..." Yeah, his current squeeze is mad, it's not her.
@@alwayssmesame with me. I was 17 and found out I was pregnant the beginning of Junior Year. He was 16 and asked me to marry him and he would raise her as his own. Her sperm donor was a military guy. He's always been in her life. Plus he was literally the only person there to support me when my middle daughter passed away. Came to her viewing and the funeral the next day.
I cried. I think almost all of us can relate to this song. There is always "That one that got away" and when I watched the video again.... I cried again.....
January 17, 2024 marked 23 years since the love of my life passed away. We were 19 and she had been waiting for a lung transplant when she went into kidney failure. I was 2 states away when her mother called me from the hospital and said “talk to her, it’s likely the last time. She can’t speak but she’s coherent.” I told her not to be scared because God and heaven are waiting for you when you close your eyes. I told her how much I loved her and I’ll see her again someday. Then she was gone. This song brings back so much and I have to fight from breaking down. But in the sadness I also find joy in the memories I have with her. Life is so precious and truly God loves us and it’s amazing. RIP Sarah
Wow sounds like my son’s story…we lost our daughter n law January 16th 2022 they have two kids grandson and granddaughter…it’s so hard enough without kids…I’m there for them all the way…. Yes life is precious enjoy EVERY MOMENT while you can…beautiful song💔
How right you are, but I wouldn't trade a minute of the time he and I had spent together. Just remember that just because something is real doesn't mean it's everlasting love 💕.
The line "too much time has gone by, we should just say goodbye, and turn and walk away" hits you differently when you are living this song. Word for word.
Such a beautiful song, sigh...... Just trying not to reminisce about people and things, events that happen over the decades since 1950s... Seems like my heart and spirit have been feeling sentimental and nostalgic in a deep spiritual way
This song touches me in a place I didn't even know I had, a place I had left behind. To everyone else that feels that they have a love lost, congratulations. Hang on to the one love you can find. It's a cruel world, and no one else will care unless you do.
I guess I was a lucky one I married my high school sweetheart and last Oct 2019 was our 40th anniversary, and still love her like I just met her and will till God calls.
My wife of 45 years died suddenly and unexpectedly in 2019 shortly after retiring with us both active, healthy 65 year olds. All we spent our lives working towards and planning vanished that day. I've spent the last two years grief stricken wondering what might have been. This was always my favorite Little Texas song, but now even more so. I'm just now seeing an end to the darkness and beginning to feel alive again. This song still breaks my heart, but in a different, gentler way. Perhaps I too may love again.
I had a friend of exactly the same, retirement was just around the corner and she was gone. All their planning out the window. I turned 65 and my sister forced me to get my SS. I'm glad she did because everything I planned for the next 10 years came tumbling down. While that is not the loss of a loved one, the dreams I worked for had been shattered. Take care, my friend.
I remember when this song came out. I haven't heard it in years. Maturity and growth definitely make you view it differently. It's so beautiful. Definitely makes me think of someone who got away.
What a great song.....what else is there to say? I married the girl next door - we met when we were both eight. We didn't marry until were both 63. I had been in a terrible marriage and her husband had passed away. We often wish we had started earlier.....but maybe, for some cosmic reason, it had to be this way. I love you more than the stars, Linda - these have been the best seven years of my life.
I am actually back with that one that has crossed my mind many times for over 30 years now. We are very much in love and going to build our lives together. This is edited. He passed away Aug 2nd due to heart complications after open heart surgery. But we still have they greatest love story. And we always will. He will always be in my heart until the day I join him in Heaven. He was my soulmate. Now he's my lost love.
Just lost my wife of 22 years, June 09, 2020. Almost every day the pain is unbearable. I hope things get easier with time but nothing has changed since I got the call.
I totally understand I feel so lost and alone yet I can't bring myself to let him go and move on. Just this morning I heard another song and I had to pay it on fb and tad his name. I miss him so much. The right of another man touching me is unbearable. But I still feel him near me and still want him miss than anyone could know.
@@jeffreycorzine9698 jeffrey. We will help you. Stay on listening country music. In 2 years afte4 gradustion I will move to chicago and visit you. Then I invite you to come to Germany and pain will be over
I’m so glad you found your way back to one another. I just got an email out of the blue from my ex- fiancé. We are both still married to different people. It’s been over 20 years. Somehow our paths keep crossing. This song absolutely reminds me of him.
I think everyone has that one person, and you just wonder....20 years, 30 years, those memories don't go away when they are that big an impact on your life. Somewhere deep inside, you always hope that life will bring you back around again, but the chances of that happening are slim, and being the same people you were back then, even slimmer. But it doesn't mean that you don't hope for it, just the same.
Katie, have you ever wondered if you made the first step, would it be worth it? You reply hit home, and it has me thinking. What could it hurt to get in contact with the one person in your life, that if this song hits your heart, is it meant to be? I believe that everything happens for a reason and for me maybe this song at this time is giving me the push I need.
When it really hurts is when you will never see your might have been again. Lost contact with mine 30 yrs ago, had some contact 15 years ago but other things kept us apart. She passed away 5 years ago. Still a place in my heart that will forever be empty no matter what.
I wish I can be with my love, but circumstances keep us apart. I told her I would wait for her, even if I only get to see her before my last breath, it would still be worth it.
That is why it is important to do whatever you can to be with the one you love. ..and to speak up to those who would belittle it....The saddest song...wasted opportunity...ugh
So have I! This song takes me back to 1995 when I was with Carie... What a beautiful wonderful person! I should have held on to her tight but instead I neglected her and lost her! Now I must spend the rest of my life alone! Love never does leave us, Chelsea Preas, at least not true love!
Met her when I was 17 one summer and fell in love. She moved to New York with her family. Then, 5 years later, we crossed paths in my town but stayed together for only a short time. She had to go away and take care of her sick father. Years passed and no word. Finally, I let her go and I moved on but only in my mind and not my heart. 26 years would come and go before I would once again see her beautiful face. Fate once again would bring us together and this time forever. Although we missed a lot of years our hearts never forgot and when we met again 5 years ago, it was like we had never been parted. Now, we are to marry next year and it is both a blessing and a miracle that we ended up with each other.
If this song, and especially this video, don't bring a tear to your eye and a lump in your throat.....then you've never had a true "what might've been"....
This is a good song but be careful. You can waste a lot of time sitting around thinking about "what might have been". Be thankful for what you have and make the best of it because life can change in an instant.
Very well said and could not agree more. I believe that people come in and out of your life and if they’re meant to stay there, they will. Focusing on what you have and being thankful is what’s most important.
It's better to have never loved, than to have the pain, strife, loneliness, heartbreak from the memory of what might have been...yes, tis truly better to have never loved and lost...love is too unkind, too mean in the 21st century
The good Lord gives you what you need not what you want. I'm thankfully for who I am with now. She may not be who I hoped to be with in the past but I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world now
This brings tears to my eyes. It brought tears when I saw it on MTV and still does. Sooooooo beautiful & the ending is sad but happy and tear jerker 😢 love, love, love this song ❤
God I miss country music with videos and lyrics and stories like this. 80s and 90s country was EPIC!!! Gives me goosebumps!! I remember seeing this video on CMT and TNN in the spring summer of 1993. Great group
The problem for me, is, I still see my "What Might Have Been" every so often, on occasion. And the heartbreak comes back, just as real as if it had happened only just yesterday, increasing in intensity, churning inside me, as she passes me by, her fortunate husband, her family that her and I could have had, her kids that her and I could have had, raised up together, my dreams once again going with her as she fades away from view once more, leaving me to sadly ponder over and over again in my mind,as I sorrowfully shake my head in eternal dismay as the burning tears cascade down my already wet cheeks..... "What Might Have Been".
I'm not a country fan but I remember hearing this song when I was a kid. Not only was the video beautiful but the song has stuck with me as one of my favorite songs of all time.
It reminds me of a guy I was so much in love with and we did take different roads but connected again 20 + years later then he got sick and passed away broke my heart all over again I still miss him everyday
For anyone who has that one person in their past whom they wished they'd had a love relationship with, or gotten closer to, or even just gotten to know better, this song really hits home. The Moody Blues song "Your Wildest Dreams" strikes the same theme.
My thought exactly. I can't listen to "Wildest Dreams" without following it with "I Know You're Out There". Then I have to listen to "Same Old Lang Syne" and "Taxi/Sequel".
@@deltonkillen8024 Yep. "What might have been", "Wildest Dreams", and "Same Old Lang Syne". I've never been a fan of Harry Chapin, but I can appreciate "Taxi" being on this list.
For years this song haunted my childhood sweetheart and I. Through all of our adult life this one made both of us think of each other. Neither of us can tell you how many tears this song created for us. As years went by the words of this song even caused anxiety and anger. You see, our story is one of true love that lasted beyond 25 years, four failed marriages, three children, and a distance of more than a thousand miles. When i was 16 I moved to a small town in northern Michigan, known as the city that steers the world, and i began high school. In the hallways in between classes I'd hear this contagious laugh that I had to seek out. Turns out that laugh came from a very beautiful blonde girl. I knew I had to get to know her. I would see her coming to a gas station where I worked after school all the time. Finally I was brave enough to open the door to the store for her, kind of as to say hi, and be a gentleman. She was overwhelmed by this act of kindness and gave me the most beautiful silent smile I'd ever seen. That one act, small as it was, captured her heart forever. We began to go steady for a while and our feelings became so strong we couldn't contain them in a very short time. Sadly for our love she didn't know she was with child at the time. Upon that discovery she had to break up with me and go to her child's father, with whom she gave him two more children over a few years. Our feelings for one another NEVER went away, but for the respect of her children and her husband I left her and moved far away. I got married to someone I didn't know, stayed married for 22 years, unhappily. Finally divorced, I moved back home to that small town. Chances were, I met up with my long lost childhood sweetheart and it was like we'd always been together. Our hearts were still joined as if we'd been re- invited to live our teenage years all over again. Turns out she was divorced as well and her children had grown and moved out to live their own lives. We realized then and still today that we are soulmates who were meant to find each other and be together forever. We knew we were still in love after 25 years of being apart, and decided to waste no more years and became a couple right away. While traveling through Illinois to see Ulyses S. Grants' estate, the gps took us to a wedding chapel instead of his estate. We took it as a signed and was married in that town two hours later. We discovered that our destination was only a few doors down from the wedding chapel, and so we toured the Grant estate right after saying our vows. This year we will celebrate our 3 year wedding anniversary and hope to have many more still ahead of us. We kinda have a relationship with this song like few others. Today there's no heartache when we hear this song, we just smile, and feel our love all over again. She has blessed us with sharing her children with me and her two grandchildren. I've since grown to love her children as my own even though they are adults. And the bond we share with the grandchildren is one that is forged in stone. Thank you little texas, for bringing a love story to life for couples like us. WE ARE HAPPY TO SAY WE FOUND OUT WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN...
It's been almost 30 years since I saw him. We lived thousands of miles apart from each other so unless I went home I couldn't see him. There was no cell phone or internet back then but I don't know if that would have made any difference. It was complicated. I can still remember what he looked like and all the good times we had together. I loved the song when it came out simply because it's a great song and now I can really relate to this song.
It's been 30 years and I still think of him. I used to wonder if I ever cross his mind, then one day he reached out and asked me if I was OK. I wasn't but I couldn't tell him that. He wanted me to call him, and I knew if I did I would blow up my whole world. Life can be too complicated and hard.
As crazy as this world is and continues to get , the emotions that this song brings reminds me of how much “love “ drives all humans. For good and evil. Enjoy and hold onto this feeling no matter what life brings us.
...I'm a 33 year old guy, and in my humble opinion, for reasons I cant explain, this is one of the saddest songs I know and has bought me to tears more then once.
I met the love of my life in Jan 1982 at Fort Sam. We got separated by the Army & lost touch. In 2010 she found me on Facebook. We got married in 2011. Things have a way of working themselves out! If it's meant to be it will happen.
19 yrs ago I broke my HS sweethearts heart. Every time I hear this I cry. We could've had everything we ever dreamed of. I threw it all away with 1 mistake. So... Not all the guys make the bad decisions. Us women do too.
To all members of the band “Little Texas”: You will always be one of my 2 favorite country bands! Thank you for your week in the Hersheypark Amphitheater. I was introduced to a fabulous group of musicians!
Same...I met my grandson last year and he asked if his grandfather and were going to get back together. I wish I took his advice. Now I will never have the chance..my x passed 3 months later of massive heart attack. 😭💔😭
For me, there was. A girl from my Job Corps days. I wanted to ask her out, but I was scared. If I had, I probably would have stayed in Job Corps. By the time we re-connected, I was already married. My wife died last Thanksgiving and by the time that I got around to try asking her out, I found out that she married somebody else. Her name is Theresa Pilkington.I still sometimes wonder "what might have been." But, I have since moved on and I am very much in love.
Zachary Leonard ..so proud of you..my son is a Marine & God has been so good to him..i realize now how much you guys suffer for us..Thank you Sir for you! May God bless you & cover you always!
Zachary Leonard Thank you for your service. Our Soilders doesn't get enough support or gratitude in this country. They fight for our protection and then they are criticized by others. It's not right.
He and I will always be unfinished business. It’s been decades and decades. Our love was on a whole other level. I’ll never stop loving him. I often find myself wondering if he even still thinks of me after all this time. It’s silly of me to even care since I’m a grown woman now. I’m sure he’s happy. But I find myself asking this question from time to time- Does he wonder as I do… “what might have been?”
We were high school sweethearts. I was 15, he was 16. As most young relationships, we parted ways, married other people, had children. When we met up again 43 years later, I was divorced, he was widowed. That instant connection was still there and we are back together. I think maybe he was my soul mate and I was too young to see it. Thank god for second chances!
Hello👋 Sharon. How are you doing? Hope you’re fine. I’m Mark Clifford and am from Denver Colorado. Where are you from? You seem like a real country girl
2 and a half years with the same girl i loved her with all my heart i thought i was gonna spend the rest of my life with her she joined the Air Force and i went to a Trade school she said i'll see you during the Holidays almost 2 years later my sister saw her Mom on the bus and said she was married and had 1 kid my heart sunk deep into my soul wish i could see her one more time and let her know how much she hurt me till this day i still think about her 25 yrs later
I understand completely. Very similar story except I joined the Army. Been almost 34 yrs. I think of her everyday. I still love her. We recently reconnected. Both on our 3rd marriage.
This is my wife and my favorite song. We were reunited after 30 years of being apart. We were very good friends that had a spark between us when we were younger. We reunited after 30 years and were married we have been together 10 years now . We have been married 7 years.. it’s our theme song.
Nearly 41 years old. Never heard this song. Today I sat down to finalize my very heart breaking divorce and this song randomly started playing. Hit me very hard. Like it was written for me for that moment.
It’s 2024, still love this song. It took me back to 1990 when desert storm was just starting. His initial is ESP. We’re both Taurus ♉ haha. First love, there’s no forgetting it. I still remember everything about him including his silver Nissan truck haha. I do wonder if I ever cross his mind.
Yes we all have that one!! Mine was two though lol!! The first one was my first love and I was a senior in high school and we got engaged for 4months and then we got broken up because of something she did under the influence that we couldn’t stay together afterwards. I left for boot camp 4 months later. We tried to get back together after I got out of the military but it just wasn’t the right timing. So 20 years later I ran into her and the timing was perfect and we went really slow trying to get back together but we gradually talked less as time and life went on. Almost a year after that she overdosed on fentanyl and she passed away. I think about her every now and then. She’ll always be special to me in my heart and she is the reason that I came to church and found God and I got saved and baptized. I know she is in heaven and she didn’t mean to overdose it was accidental. Anyway I will always remember her and have her in my heart and never forget her. We all miss you Melissa!!!
I agree, bit you still have to acknowledge your pain & feelings of loss. Otherwise you will be haunted for the rest of your life. We all need to grieve about our losses in life, no matter how trivial they may seem to others. Just speaking from experience here.
@@cathyberry9579 Cathy, I think about this scenario often and come to the same conclusion Harry Chapin did at the end of "Sequel". "Half the time thinking about what might have been and the other half thinking maybe it's just as well". Sad that it works out that way nearly all the time, but sometimes it ends like this video did. I actually have a friend who's first two wives passed away and eventually married his high school sweetheart who had lost her husband of 40 yrs.
Living in the past is never good. Remembering the past is healthy. But dwelling on "what might have been" for too long can drive you too far. From experience here myself.
Michael, although we were just kids, I truly loved you and and love you still. Now I find out that you are in Louisville and I'm right here in Indianapolis only 97 miles apart! I talked to our son and we should have never let people decide our future for us! I'm still here waiting for you.
My heart still calls for him. After a 17 year marriage my ex walked out on me and our 4 children. My high school sweetheart was married just a couple of months before this happened. I've been alone now for over 15 years. I have to trust that God has other plans for me.
I sit here listening to this 3 years after my wife left. We were married 23 years and have beautiful children who are still growing up. Doing all the healthy things I should, but our family was my home.
DAMMIT STOP CUTTING ONIONS! This song came out when I was a young Marine in the 90's. I have never seen so many Marines cry then when they heard this song. Such a classic.
My high school sweetheart and I were together for 3 years and our parents forbade us to speak to each other anymore. After sneaking around as long as we could we finally went our separate ways, but only temporarily. I was at work one day and my manager told me I had a call a few days before from a John and he left his number. I knew instantly who it was and when I called and heard his voice my heart sank just like the first time I saw him. We have 3 kids now and have been married almost 13 years. Love always brings back what's meant to be ❤
All these years gone by and this one still hits you right in the feels! I don't have a "might have been" except for wishing I would've met my Wife sooner. My Wife is my forever love, but this song is so powerful.
After both of lives turned into war stories with our past relationships, my true love, Rhonda Sue, who I cared for more than anyone was three grades behind me upon my Graduation and enlistment in the US Navy. We have been reunited and my world has wonderfully changed!
My high school sweetheart (3 1/2 years) made this song hard to listen to with dry eyes. He left for the airforce my senior year, 1994. The night before he left for bootcamp, he told me that if we didn't last, this would be our song. We stayed together until halfway through my freshman year in college. He asked me to leave school and move several states away to marry him, but I didn't want to let go of my dream of graduating from MSU. I went to visit him during spring break when we ended up breaking up on good terms. It's funny, we both live very near our hometown nowadays and never run into each other. Of course, I've never really gotten into facebook, and I don't think he has either; I'm not trying to find him either. I love the way my life turned out, love my husband and our 3 kids, but I still think of him when I hear this song--and many other days, too. He was my first love.
BusyTeacher/Mom i can relate to that i got together with my husband freshman year of high school he joined marines he was never home he was killed 4 years ago over seas we have 3 beautiful kids together this song is hard listen to
I just saw my ex at the store the other day with my 17 year old daughter. He was a great guy and I missed up the relationship. I’m glad it didn’t work out bc after that I met the father of my beautiful daughter. And my daughters father and I didn’t work out and he passed away. But I don’t regret my ex and I breaking up. Bc I met a man who changed my life and gave me the best part of him. Our daughter. It’s crazy how things work out. 🙏❤️😔
People always tell me to forget him But how how do you forget someone when you miss them so much ? Don’t ever fall for someone online . Especially someone in another country far away ... the pain is just as real as if you actually got to meet them - 13 months later -still hurting .ill always miss you John .
My first love...I was 13. We both were from abusive homes, and our love ran deep and true. Ran into him about 20 years ago while I was married...it was obvious to both of us that the feelings were still there; we couldstillread each other'sthoughtsby looking into theother'seyes. Nothing happened. We knew we couldn't be friends as that would be playing with fire. His life was still rough, and I have continued to pray to God to help him find his way. He's the one this song takes me back to. I left my abusive husband 14 years ago, and I don't regret being faithful to him because I can hold my head up high knowing I did everything I could to make it work. I've never thought of my ex when hearing this song ever.
It’s been forever since I listening to this song and as I was writing this song came on the radio and I stopped and cried for sure. It really got me thinking as well.
I don't care who you are, everyone has that one person in their history who you think what might have been.

oh it packs more than a punch, this song can take the toughest person to their knees, like it did me...

Such a beautiful song, sigh...... Just trying not to reminisce about people and things, events that happen over the decades since 1950s...
Seems like my heart and spirit have been feeling sentimental and nostalgic in a deep spiritual way
Oh, yes it does
Preach it kills me when I hear this song and the ending omg it's just too much
Came here to cry. Mission Accomplished
This song touches me in a place I didn't even know I had, a place I had left behind. To everyone else that feels that they have a love lost, congratulations. Hang on to the one love you can find. It's a cruel world, and no one else will care unless you do.

wtg Bryan,,,same here....God brought my wife into my life in high school....it truly was "love at first sight"...44 years strong in 2020
Love is eternal.
I married mine as well. 16 yrs later... we had an 8 month old and 4 yr old, he woke up one day and decided he didn't want us anymore. 🤷🏼
Me too I still got mine and we got married in October 81
Bryan Mcnamara lucky man
My wife of 45 years died suddenly and unexpectedly in 2019 shortly after retiring with us both active, healthy 65 year olds.
I’m so sorry for your loss.
God bless you and keep you in His arms.
I hope you found what you were looking for sir.
@EJ Turpin I'm truly sorry for your loss. I sincerely hope you've found love again.
I remember when this song came out. I haven't heard it in years. Maturity and growth definitely make you view it differently. It's so beautiful. Definitely makes me think of someone who got away.
Oh, my GOD, the ever-elusive, "what might have been".. me, too.
God bless!

Hello Katie.. how are you doing?
Katie, have you ever wondered if you made the first step, would it be worth it? You reply hit home, and it has me thinking. What could it hurt to get in contact with the one person in your life, that if this song hits your heart, is it meant to be? I believe that everything happens for a reason and for me maybe this song at this time is giving me the push I need.
When it really hurts is when you will never see your might have been again. Lost contact with mine 30 yrs ago, had some contact 15 years ago but other things kept us apart. She passed away 5 years ago. Still a place in my heart that will forever be empty no matter what.
It sucks that millions are not with the one they really want and Love.

That is why it is important to do whatever you can to be with the one you love. ..and to speak up to those who would belittle it....The saddest song...wasted opportunity...ugh
Chelsea Preas your so right

She may not be who I hoped to be with in the past but I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world now
That's what he said. He isn't dwelling on the past.

Saddest 4 words in the world...........what might have been.
William Williams ** what SHOULD have been....

For anyone who has that one person in their past whom they wished they'd had a love relationship with, or gotten closer to, or even just gotten to know better, this song really hits home.
The Moody Blues song "Your Wildest Dreams" strikes the same theme.
"Your Wildest Dreams" is a great song about lost love too.
Oh yes, DEFINITELY! 🎵😢

May you have many blessed years together. Love can't be erased, hidden but never erased. God Bless.

We have similar story. Thank you
It's been 30 years and I still think of him.

Our love was on a whole other level.
I’ll never stop loving him.
I often find myself wondering if he even still thinks of me after all this time. It’s silly of me to even care since I’m a grown woman now. I’m sure he’s happy.
But I find myself asking this question from time to time-
Does he wonder as I do… “what might have been?”
Back in the day this song made me cry. Now here we are in 2024 and it still makes me cry. Beautiful song.

Wonderful !
But sometimes it's best to leave memories buried. They can break your heart
I agree, bit you still have to acknowledge your pain & feelings of loss. Otherwise you will be haunted for the rest of your life. We all need to grieve about our losses in life, no matter how trivial they may seem to others. Just speaking from experience here.

Cathy, I think about this scenario often and come to the same conclusion Harry Chapin did at the end of "Sequel".

Love always brings back what's meant to be ❤
Years ago when my husband did long haul trucking I would hear this song when he was on his way home...it made me so happy❤

You got that right. Greatest love story (Lanco) doesn't even come close to this

2021 and still listening to this song.
I think bout you every day since you passed, but I can’t help to think what might have been , I’ll carry these memories on to our grandchildren
BusyTeacher/Mom i can relate to that i got together with my husband freshman year of high school he joined marines he was never home he was killed 4 years ago over seas we have 3 beautiful kids together this song is hard listen to
never forget...
GOD HAD A BETTER PLAN. YOU WILL NEVER KNOW.......
Angela Robinson I’m so sorry about your husband, just know that he died doing what he thought was right.
Any song that can make you cry is worth listening to again and again...and again...
LITTLE TEXAS was a fantastic Band !!! I really miss them !!! Best wishes from Norway !!!

Sarah Wilbers especially when it hurts going back in your memories
People always tell me to forget him
But how how do you forget someone when you miss them so much ?
Hello Melissa.. how are you doing?
