Cruiseman's I noticed that if you want to put a space in between words, I want to the number key and hit the underlying key to input a space in between the words.
I always find it funny that we would need to input our favorite food places or other familiar locations. That's what our minds are for. But I suppose this is a feature that one would constantly update. I would be inputing new destinations. Thanks for your quality instructions. I have learned a lot!👍
Yea; Very informative video...I've spent an hour trying to save my home location. I tried typing my address, no joy. It seems the Honda database doesn't list my 50 yr old home's street address in Deer Park, TX. Your video clearly explains the procedure for tagging my location as "Home" and Renaming it as Stan's House. Hmm, the lack of a space will make this tricky. I like your videos. My 2018 GL1800BD loves Cruiseman.
This saved me so much time. I could save routes but favourites is a nice feature to have. I just bought a 2020 goldwing from a dealer. Sat nav is slightly different but operates in a very similar way. Quite a lot of settings!!
Thank you. I'm trying to understand the Goldwing navigation for times when I don't have my phone plugged in to launch Apple Car Play. I set a destination recently and the 'Arrival Time' seemed good news at first glance but as time went on it became clear that the GPS was confused and not figuring it correctly. Or, that's how I thought about it. It turns out that 'Arrive time' doesn't actually mean the time of day that you arrive, it means how much time is left in the trip. I took it literally, though, when I first used it because the time of day was close to the similar digits in Arrival Time and so I took it as a time of day when I was to arrive. As for your 'no space' problem, while the GPS won't allow a space in a saved filename, choose the 12!% button and you can put in an underline or a dash or whatever to make that Favorite more readable.
Thanks again. I had figured out how to do this a couple months ago, but hadn’t added any favorites for a while. Thanks for the review, you saved me 30 minutes of fiddling again. Lol
You just described the problem with this interface. It is so non-intuitive that even once you learn how to do it, you will forget after a week and have to go digging in the manual or online. I never cracked open the manual on my 2012 Garmin GPS.
Cruiseman...could you detail the system that you used to mount your Garmin on your left handlebar reservoir, to include the zumo model (595 LM?) and how it is powered? Thanks!
Cruise man. Can you please tell me how you activate the speed limit on the nav for the current road you are on. Mine is grayed out in options and nothing i do will change it. Please help.
I remember you had a link about the RAM mount you put on your left handlebar which holds your GPS system. Could you post the Amazon link or direct to the right video I saw it in? Thanks!
I for one am having the problem of my GPS losing audio while on a route I am following. I know this is common so my question Cruiseman is should I report this to my dealer so that if and when Honda has a fix I will get included or notified ? I am thinking each of us should do this at their local dealership. I am sure the more tickets turned into Honda will spur more action from them
What happens when you are at a location you would like to save as a favorite, do not nudge the toggle, and just hold down the "Enter" button for a few seconds? I noticed in the menu that popped up that "Save as Favorite" was an option when you held down the enter button (but it was whited out because, I assume, you were editing an existing Favorite).
Thanks for your share I just update my navigation with file official download from honda by USB Can u find out how to add/replace other continental maps into 2018 Goldwing? Since very easy copy more Garmin maps paste to SD Card at my old 2012 goldwing navigation Thanks Again and God Bless u all
Is there a trick to using this GPS that keeps you on the highway? I've had an instance where it took me on back roads that turned to gravel. I'm assuming "fastest route", but haven't played with it enough. The last thing I need is to be guided to gravel. ;)

I still haven't looked at my GPS manual either on my 2012.......I'm having way too much fun riding the hell out of it. :)
You suggested "Reach out to Honda . . .". Do you have a suggested who/where/how for doing that?
one more time, thanks a lot!!! ( ...... for your clear and logical descriptions)

Bob, as soon as I get home from Wing Ding, I am planning a video showing how I mounted the Zumo!

Holding the ENTER key down without obtaining the cursor does nothing.

Unfortunately, I have not used it enough to experience this issue. However, I know that the built-in maps are not up to date.
thanks that helps
No matter what; the navigation on the new wing is fubar at this point. What a convoluted mess...
Wow - Very intuitive. What a joke....
