Sad to see him go, he was a great singer.
Matt was so good in this interview. Every time he said something he was either steering the conversation away from things the guys didn't want to talk about or to things they did want to talk about.

A lot of people are saying that Scott was “messed up” on something here but he wasn’t. He made it through a few years with Velvet Revolver before relapsing. Drug addiction is a life long battle made nearly impossible when you have money.
He quit heroin for good in 03 but he still drank and abused prescription pills a lot. O7 and onward were cocaine issues as well as prescription medication abuse and alcohol. I think he is legit clean here as there were periods of sobriety.
He likely was on suboxone and drinking at this time. He was off the H may have been using coke but idk. 2006 was probably the only year of VR where he was legit clean.
Contraband was a Kick ass record. I remember seeing them at HFS Nut Cracker they came on about an hour late it was at George Mason University there was a Midnight cut off and they just kept playing. Loudest band I’ve ever heard Fucking Rawk!

People usually know they will get roasted if they go on the Howard Stern show. Didn’t appreciate how he talked to Scott when he did a book promo appearance for his autobiography in 2010, where he talked about being abused as a kid, though.
Now Guns N Roses are back and touring since 2016. It looks like making millions a year again touring as GNR with Axl was enough to put their whatever differences aside. It was a slap in the face of Matt Sorum to leave him out of GNR reunion as he toured with the band before for seven years after they kicked Steve Adler out.
Duff and slash are actually lucky to be alive. Scott wasn’t so lucky. Love all their contributions to music that will outlive all of them.

People usually know they will get roasted if they go on the Howard Stern show. Didn’t appreciate how he talked to Scott when he did a book promo appearance for his autobiography in 2010, where he talked about being abused as a kid, though.

Now Guns N Roses are back and touring since 2016. It looks like making millions a year again touring as GNR with Axl was enough to put their whatever differences aside. It was a slap in the face of Matt Sorum to leave him out of GNR reunion as he toured with the band before for seven years after they kicked Steve Adler out.
It's likely Axl didn't want Matt Sorum back because then it would Slash , Duff , Matt with more leverage vs Axl.
