All great songs with great piano! If A&A want to choose: The Way It Is is an insightful commentary on racial injustice; Mandolin Rain is a wistful look at lost love prompted by hearing bluegrass music; Every Little Kiss describes missing one's lover when working far from home (maybe an extended stint on a fishing boat). Another great window on Bruce's piano is the Chaka Kahn song "Love Me Still"-- absolutely gorgeous piano shares the spotlight with beautiful vocals by Chaka.

Hornsby also played keys with the Grateful Dead for some time.

The keyboards on this song were played by Scott Thurston, a session musician who also played with The Stooges, The Motels, and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The only song on "Luck of the Draw" where Bruce Hornsby played was "I Can't Make You Love Me".

My favorite Bonnie Raitt song is “You”. So lush and dreamy. Susan Tedeschi’s voice always reminds me of Bonnie. And it’s even cooler that they have played and sung together for a performance.

As a longtime Bonnie Raitt, this is one of my all time favorites. Got to see her live in Connecticut! Yeah I agree! So straightforward and fun! She played blues slide guitar influenced by some blues elders. And her Dad sang on Broadway, not the same style but talented family!

Love Bonnie. Tjis song was the title musical track for the Film with the same name starring Dennis Quaid and Julia Robert's. Can't go wrong with Bonnie as she keeps her rock and blues flavor in all she does. You should listen to one of her first hits, Runaway, which was a cover but totally bluesified.

America's Sweetheart. Saw her perform at a ski resort near SLC years back. When a lighting storm knocked out the resort's (Snow Bird) power ~20 minutes into her performance, she just picked up an acoustic guitar and sang louder.

Bonnie Raitt has her own spot in my musical world. She’s equally right in something like this, has the purity necessary for tunes like Dimming of the Day, emotional depth enough for I Can’t Make You Love Me. And she makes most of this sound so easy it doesn’t look like exceptional range. None of her albums, even a greatest hits suffers from having tunes that sound alike. I think that might make her hard to market, but it sure makes her a terrific listen.
