Welcome to Limassol, Cyprus. This is a brand new port for me, and I’m visiting as part of my 7-night cruise onboard Rhapsody of the Seas, one of the oldest and smallest cruise ships from Royal Caribbean!
In my last episode, I showed you what it was like to embark a cruise ship in Haifa, Israel, and today is our first port of call!
While in Limassol, I’ll show you the old castle, the old town port, the luxurious new build marina, and also the beautiful promenade that lines the shoreline of the city.
This video was filmed back in June 2023, prior to the closure of the cruise industry in Israel.

I think NCL got the any time dining right. We got given a buzzer so we could go elsewhere and have a drink in a bar whilst we waited for our table. Think all cruise lines need to adopt this method!
Yeah, I love when ships do this - makes the whole thing so much more relaxing. I was driven MAD with waiting on this ship!
Amazing video brings back memories of last summer on ncl jade. There are service buses which stop at the port and go to the centre of limassol for a few €. They run quite frequently too 😊

Another fabulous video and somewhere else to add to my list of ports to visit. Odd to hear you say that ship was full. When I was on two years ago there were less than 600 passengers on board…. The quietest ship I’ve ever been on

Not done Virgin. But they have hidden things going on that many miss out on. Only a few get invited. Allegedly.
That would bother me: if l'd paid for a cruise and missed out on parties and private shows, due to a selective way of hidden invitation that you may miss out on, even though you've PAID.
So l know how you're feeling.

Thanks so much! I shoot most on my iPhone - lots of people ask me this question actually. I can film up to 4K on that, which is great.
I have a few other bits of kit, but the majority is the iPhone!
Did you notice there are no Greeks around? They're all in Melbourne! Or shopping in the North or using the Casinos in the North.
Many Turkish Cypriots in Melbourne too.
Unlike the South of the island, the North is BUZZING with people Turkish people AND of course people from ALL around the World.

Rule for Cyprus. If you want it quiet no people then go South. If you like it buzzing with people go North.
