One of my inspirations as a guitarist. To me they were the greatest recording Artist in history. I saw them live in Mobile Alabama in I think, 1979. Blew us away!
For those who did not watch "Miracles out of nowhere" the documentary of the band. Please buy it and watch. It is excellent. In that video Steve Walsh admits there was not many songs he wrote for Kansas he was proud of, there were a few. Kerry's songs were the finger print of the band he said.
The interviewer says that there were "many incantations of Kansas." Incantation means, "a series of words said as a magic spell or charm." He must have meant to use another word.
Incarnations, the interviewer initially stopped from watching this. He's a bit disrespectful. He's acting like he's some type of authority and Kerry's like a kid. I really don't like this guy
I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW A GUITARIST WHO PLAYED IN ONE OF THE BIGGEST BANDS OF AN ERA CANNOT READ A LICK OF MUSIC . I AM NO MUSICIAN BUT I WOULD THINK YOU ARE PUTTING YOURSELF AT A BIG DISADVANTAGE WHEN PLAYING WITH OTHER MUSICIANS YOU DONT NORMALLY PLAY WITH. I DONT THINK BACK THEN THEY HAD TABLATURE OR DID THEY ?
@@MH-WM Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ? I did for 30 years. In all those years, God never spoke or appeared to me. Yeah, God sure must be a deadbeat dad.

True. Some of the strongest melodies in rock ever were written by him. Hail Kerry!

Should be in the class of Lennon/Mcartney, Bowie ect ect as one of the greatest Rock composers of all time. He was the heart and soul of Kansas.
Yep!
Great interview! So much I didn't know about Kerry.
... an incarnation, is the beginning of something, but an incantation, that, is a SPELL

PlanetRockJesus you're right. He most likely meant incarnations, meaning the different lineups of the band.
He meant "Incarnations"

right!!!!!
Young Kerry looks like a young Alex Lifeson
More like a Young Edgar Winter! In fact one German music magazine got them confused in the 1970's.
What is up with the "CHE Beret"? Smh

They would make a pandemonium ass, on pandemonium mass of themselves
Great Musician, too bad he believes in the Invisible man in the sky. Oh well, fucking crazy people write some cool songs.

Why is it too bad he believes what he does?
Hopefully you get to meet the invisible man in the sky right before you go to HELL.
So he can’t believe in something you don’t? You must be fun at parties!!
