thanks for checking out this video. i was genuinely so surprised by the performance of this adapter, especially at the price point. while it has good reviews on amazon, there are next to no other videos on youtube about how the k&f concept adapter performs when it comes to a video first context so hope this helps in some way if you are looking at either one! let me know if you guys have questions down below!
Awesome video once again sir! Just a heads up to viewers, returned my K&F adapter not too long ago. It worked fine with my Canon brand lenses, but some third party EF-S Lenses paired to it literally crash out the X-H2s (in my case, Tamron 17-50 2.8 A16 and Sigma 17-70 2.8-4.5). Found a fringer EF-EF Pro gen 1 used (they sadly do not sell them in my country). So far so good, just sadly isn't optimized for my fastest lenses with autofocus (the tamron above is one), but no crashing out the camera.
interesting! i didn’t experience anything like that but is good to note for others that might use those lenses. so crazy how different adapters can pair well with some lenses and others not so much. i think that is another reason why the fringer is the tried and true hence why i said i can’t speak to more extensive testing. thanks for sharing as someone will probably love to know this 🙏🏽
Hey I recently just got my fuji camera with 15-45 mm kit lens and it also didn't have aperatue ring and just got used to it so it is not a problem to me also the fringer didn't available in my country and have to import it which will be taxed 11 percent and more so k&f seems to be the best one for me so thanks.
Thank you for the in-depth review! Randomly just saw the K&F on sale on Amazon with a coupon for $160 and decided to place the order, can't wait to see what it can do on my X-T30 when it finally gets here!
Been watching your channel for some time now and I love the content! Blase, I recently bought a Fringer Pro II and a Sigma 24-70mm. Have you used any Fuji lenses before, have you noticed the adapted lenses to be a little bit darker ? Im under the impression that its a little bit darker and cooler than my Fuji lenses.
Thanks so much! I have not personally noticed the image being darker, however there will always been slight shifts in an image feeling warmer/cooler from lens to lens as each brand or line of lenses often have different coatings. There can even be variations between 2 lenses are exactly the same. My 24-70 leans very subtly warmer than my 18-35. Hope that helps!
Hi, I'm just a young boy who is weak in expressing my gratitude, but in general I wanted to tell you, don't stop publishing what you doing!, that it's beneficial for everyone and for me Personally, so man thank you very much, and just keep going. I just tried my best, sorry if it seems cringe or stupid but whatever man, just keep doing it
Blase, any idea how the fringer EF-FX pro iii compares to this 2nd generation? which one to buy? new doesn’t always mean better. price point is almost the same.
Oh nice one, would be great to see how it is with long lenses ... as in my case I would love to try 400mm 5.6 or the 100-400mm how they work (as both are something missing on fujifilm)
Many thanks for the video. As I contemplate moving from a Canon SLR to a Fuji X-H2, but with a variety of EF lenses (mainly Sigma) looking at adapters is critical to avoiding a change to all my lenses. What are the two adapters like with image stabilisation, both lens and IBIS. Are they supported, both separately and together and how well do they actually work? Many thanks and keep up the good work.
@@JustJacoBee Not sure the point of observing that XC lenses are consumer lenses, but right you are. I also have 4XF lenses but the conversation is about Fuji lenses with dial only aperture adjustment.
Good job man beautiful video . I'm a Nikon user but recently I bought a gfx 100 now I'm struggling about adapter . There's not much information on internet about how to use Nikon lens to Fuji . Is fringer is the best one ? Can fully support?
Dude your title isn't using the common logic. You know why it's called EF-FX? Because it's EF lens (Canon) to Fujifilm X-mount body. I was confused AF when thinking X mount to EF or RF body
Fringer is the tried and true and the one I am keeping. K&F is great if you are on a budget, don’t care about the aperture ring, and don’t mind the orange color. I have seen used Fringers for around $200-250 so i would lean that way if i was looking to buy one
Hey really liked the vibe of that video. I have an xt4 and in my surrounding everyone uses canon cameras and glass so I am thinking about getting an adapter instead of a fuji lens because of that. As Canon glass is mostly full frame do you think it is a good Idea to go for a speedbooster from viltrox? Or do you think an autofocus adapter which I will be able to use with my old apsc glass would be the better idea? kindly a new subscriber
Thanks so much! I’ve heard only bad things about that speedbooster so would prolly lean away from that. I’ve really liked using an AF adapter with my canon glass
the adapter does not change the field of view. but yes since fuji camera's have a 1.5x crop (as compared to full frame) a 50mm lens would be a similar look to a 75mm lens on a full frame camera
I believe so, although I cannot speak to the performance as I do not own an XT4 to test it with. It does work with my XT3 so I assume you would be good. Hope that helps :)
Yo! IBIS refers to 'in body' image stabilization where the sensor itself is providing the stabilization so it actually does not have anything to do with what lens or adapter you are using
@@blasepivovar i ment with * I've been testing this days the fringer EF XF AF pro II it works with sigma 18-35 But not with Carl Zeiss milvus EF But it works with KeF pro I checked online and seems is a common prob Or just some units work some don't probably
Does the Fringer adapter change aperture as you turn the aperture ring on the adapter or does it only change it to the set aperture at the time of exposure
@@blasepivovar with canon dslr sand dslr sin general the actual aperture adjustment only happens at exposure time. I had an issue with my sigma mf-11 (canon to Sony) only adjusting aperture at exposure so I had to replace it with a metabones which has an advanced mode.

Not all Fuji lenses have the aperture dial on them. For example, the XC 50 - 230mm lens aperture has to be adjusted with the dial.
Good to know. Yeah i figured there are probably some without
