I watched a video from Jordan Shanks a little earlier and he helped me understand that boredom is good for you. It is the catalyst for imagination. Life gets so boring when you are overstimulated all the time, which is exactly the reason you go to your devices - because they satisfy that feeling of emptiness. But when you stop using them, you actually start to imagine fun things to do in real life - like reading those books you always wanted to read, or learning an instrument, or going out to have fun with friends, etc...
